Another great experience, as always!
The music was unbelievably loud which made it nearly impossible o hear my dinner companion - quite unfortunate as the food and service were great - the restaurant itself is incredible- it’s not a dance bar so really no reason for the high volume
For my Birthday it was awesome!!
The experience could have been much better if they brought the music down. Because the music was loud it forced people to speak louder so that they could be heard and as a result the noise level was not comfortable. Even though the service and food were great I will not go back because of the noise. It may be ok for younger clientele but it wasnt for me and my friends.
The patio was amazing, our waiter Jason was great, very happy and helpful. Food was awesome. Overall a great experience
My friends and I had a great time. Service was excellent. Beautiful patio. Gets a little noisy, but it's a fun atmosphere. I appreciated having gluten-free options, and they even a gluten free cheesecake. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Will be back!
Lovely patio, nice ambiance. Salad was bland but additional dressing was offered and added needed flavours. My lunch companion had the fish tacos and they were amazing.
Never disappointed when coming to Harper's Landing. My colleagues were happy to join me.
The food was really good- the appetizer (cheese/meat) board was a good size to share among 4 people. The only thing I would suggest is to turn the music down- very difficult to have a conversation without yelling across the table.
Very enjoyable, great food and excellent service. Dessert was free for the friend having a birthday, with a candle on top. We really appreciated that gesture. We were able to take our time, 3 ladies having lunch and catching up, and never felt rushed.
Our party if 4 we’re seated inside which was fine because it was a pretty steamy evening. What I couldn’t understand was the gas fire that was roaring behind our table which could not, apparently, be turned down or off. Made no sense in the middle of a heatwave!
Perfect venue for a birthday celebration with my two sisters. Great service and drinks. Really enjoyed the Landing salad and Signature Fish Tacos. Dessert on the house! Appreciated the ambience and the feeling of not being rushed. Will definitely be back to try other menu options.
Harper's menu was finally changed! It's interesting once again. When it first opened it was also quite good but the same menu went on forever to the point where we stopped going. Having said that the new menu is a nice change. The food was very good and the service was excellent.
My mother didn't like the Bistro steak so they replaced it with the better quality steak (I paid the higher price but at least we didn't have to pay for both). The replacement steak came fairly quickly. The food quality was very good, and the pricing is on par with the Keg I would say. My 71-year old mother complained about the volume of the room, but most people will find it normal for a large restaurant. We ate inside, but the patio looks like a great spot.
I had a great time with my mom and sister! They had never been and loved it. My sister said she felt like she was on vacation because of the live music and outdoor ambiance :)
Harpers is always a great and fun place for dinner. The atmosphere is always rocking. Service last night was amazing and you can’t go wrong with the food... always good!
We were seated outside on a lovely evening. The food was great but the high sound level of the music from the speakers required us to move tables once. Still too loud at the new table but we endured. Will have second thoughts about returning unless the sound level is curbed a bit.
Made a reservation specifically to sit in the dining room. Only space available when we arrived )10 min early) was in the bar area. So much for making a reservation!
Been here many times. This time we sat out on the patio and found it very noisy between the music outside noise and patrons. If the music was lower I think it would help as people would not have to speak so loud to be heard. Dinner was good. The only complaint I have is we ordered wings as an appetizer and although tasted good they were pink inside, some where red inside near the bone. I didn’t really worry too much about it. My real issue was when my waitress came to clear the table of the appetizer and asked how it was. We told her they were good but undercooked. She replied “undercooked?” as she was concerned and surprised. We never heard another word after that. In most establishments if a server asks how something is and receive a negative response they should immediately inform there manager. She obviously didn’t nor really seem to care if we were happy. Very disappointed in the service. After all why ask how the food is if your not going to do anything about it when you get negative feedback. Then they expect a 20%!tip because it’s now a norm. Let’s be clear. A tip is based on your level of service. Do your job as expected and get 20%. Don’t and get less or nothing.
Made reservations 4 days prior to date.
Arrived - seated immediately.
Waiter was training a new server - had to wait 25 minutes to get a drink at the start of our stay. Asked to be moved to another section - was told we would have to leave our table and wait at the bar for 30 minutes !
Long wait in between server coming back to check if we need more drinks or anything really.
Party seated behind us - man had to go find waiter to get their bill.
Suggestion - do not begin training a new server on a Saturday night.
Lively ambience, but the music was too loud, difficult to speak with wait staff and friends. Service was slow, because of busy time (6pmish on a Sat). Food quality was okay-good range, but nothing to advertise to friends about. Dessert was the best part of the meal and was excellent (cheesecake).
One of the best patios in oakville. Tasty, unique cocktails.
Chris, our waiter, was terrific. We were a group of ladies enjoying lunch. We all had one of the salads and all were enjoyed. It was louder than we would have liked - partially because of the music and also because of the unfinished high ceilings.
Everything was good other than a bit of confusion at reception when I checked in for my reservation. They found the reservation and seated me right away and I told them my guest’s name and he would be arriving shortly.
When he arrived they told him I hadn’t arrived yet, so not sure what caused the confusion. But we eventually found each other and had an enjoyable lunch.
Busy for lunch with people working in the area. Great food and ambiance. Good restaurant overall
The food was delicious! The atmosphere was great. The service in the bar area was terrible ... our server came to the table five times: to take our drink order, to drop off our drinks, to take our food order, to drop off our food, and to give us the bill. He left after dropping the bill on the table and did not return ... we paid and left the restaurant without seeing him again. He never checked on us to see how our food was and didn’t return to offer drink refills.
Our server was horrible. She forgot our drinks and our food
Made Mother’s Day a horrible experience
Host stand needs a lot more training. They were rude when we walked in, even though we had reservations and refused to seat us at an open table when requested. Server and food were amazing, server really tried to make up for the poor hostess service.
Our server, Nicole, was great! The musician as well.
Restaurant is quite loud so not a place if you want good conversation. Food always good though.
Too many people, way too noisy, not good for conversations. While the food is good, it's better during non busy hours as it tends to sacrifice quality for quick service when the place is packed. I've visited more than once hoping it would be different but it's the same each time.
In general great service and great location. This time it seemed there were not enough waiters and some parts of the restaurants were empty and we were cramped next to the entrance. I may hesitate coming back.
Overall fairly decent restaurant. Food is fairly good for what you would expect from a larger restaurant. The decor and ambiance are really nice as well.
The service was quite slow, likely due to under staffing at the time that we went but was never rude or unpleasant.
This is not a place for fine dining or very unique food but it is a good get-together place that will have standard food options likely to please most people.
Great waitress great food
The noise level made it difficult to hear.... If the bar area wants to be loud but the rest of the space doesn't need to be that loud.
I’ve been to this location a few times and loved it, so we returned for a group birthday. We waited 20 minutes for our ‘reserved’ table that no one was cleaning. We also noticed that there were tables that were ready and we were the only group waiting for a table. After asking the host if there was an update, she rudely replied “it’s not ready, we’re cleaning it”. After finally being seated we waited for quite some time for someone to greet us and take our order. The food was great which made up for the delay in seating our table and getting lunch started. I probably won’t be back for lunch.
Very loud - which is not an issue unless you come with family. Bar/club atmosphere.
Kids menu is excellent, comes with “appetizer” and dessert.
Service was slow and our waiter was quite curt.
Very trendy place. Would enjoy a date night or drinks later in the evening but perhaps not the best choice for a family/kids meal.
Always enjoy going to one of the Landings. Food is always good. Service is always good.
Just wish they would turn down the music!!! The Oakville one especially is very noisy.
