You have gotta love this restaurant. It is like a trip to Harry's Bar in Venice. Beautiful setting, Linen table cloths changed before the desert. Wonderful food. In this case it was the Homemade Lightly Baked Tagliolini with ham. A house favorite. It was delicious. Lemon pie (Meringata Alla Crema) for desert. Very nice. Service was excellent. For two, without alcohol, the meal was $250. Expensive for lunch, but very good.
Great ambiance! The service was extra and the food Very good.
Classique de la maison Cipriani. Mais pas le meilleur des branches.
Did not check out vaccination card. Felt very uncomfortable after they stuffed a table that sat six with eight people less than a foot from our table…we did not eat our entrees which were horrible so we immediately left after paying the bill! Horrible experience and waste of money!
Muy buena atencion, excelente ambiente , ricos platos
We were enjoying 1 singular luncheon out of isolation and we loved every second of it at Cipriani! My son had the chicken salad which looks exquisite bc the chef shaved the chicken into something that looks like shaved ice. My other son had the lamb chops, which he said were the best he’s ever had and cooked med rare to perfection and I had the Bolognese, which is always perfect.
The service was fantastic as always-friendly & fun and highly professional.
New Years early sitting.
Always a pleasure being at Harry’s and a delight to see Sergio at the helm
Mi restaurante preferido de Manhattan. Ante la duda, siempre es la mejor opción. La comida es fantástica sin ser presuntuosa. El servicio es muy cordial. Nunca falla.
Amazing as always! The food is so incredibly fresh and the service is amazing
Christmas Day dinner. It was fantastic
Cipriani at the Sherry Netherland requires no further reviews. It is a New York institution that is deservedly well loved and highly respected, as it has been for years and as its original -- Harry's Bar in Venice -- has been for generations.
Sergio Vacca and team assure a warm welcome, memorable meal and happy get together consistently and time after time.
There are to be sure those guests who come to be seen and treated as celebrities. And so they may be. In many venues this could be a negative, an imposition on an otherwise wonderful evening. But at Cipriani this is not the case. It is part of the spectacle, part of the theatre that contributes to making the City of New York unique in the world. And in this city there is no more enjoyable flagship than Cipriani. If you are lucky enough to get a table, go there!
20% service forced
It was my sister birthday and I wanted her to have a nice diner but unfortunately it was terrible. We had the tomato and mozzarella but the mozzarella was way too dry and tasted like rubber, the fried calamari was fine but who can miss that. She had the spaghetti bolognese and I had penne puttanesca well unfortunately no flavor no taste really disappointed and definitely do not recommend.
Cipriani’s is always a wonderful experience ! Sergio and his team make sure you will have a great uplifting dining experience !! Thank you Cips team for many years of delicious food and fun memories!!
Really elegant lunch food outstanding
Chicken great meringue vanilla awesome will return soon
Tables much too close. Allot of people jammed into small area. Air circulation poor. Due to density of diners, noise level very high.
Good food nice atmosphere and very good service. Overall a good place to check out whilst in NY
Food is outrageously overpriced for the quality. Atmosphere is great as is the extremely efficient waitstaff
Amazing old time charm
Thanks for all
Steak was overcooked, told the waiter, he just shrugged. Also, be sure to check your bill when it comes - ours included several items that we did not order - wagyu beef (one of the most expensive on the menu), and several drinks.
To noisy to have a pleasant meal. Wait staff rushed and inattentive
Very happy to see Harry Cipriani reopen. A great place with great staff.
The service was brusk verging on rude. They were out of a number of wine selections and made no accommodations for this.
The first sign of things being off was when we we ordered a martini and it arrived in what looked like a votive candle holder and were told they have no martini glasses. The food is good but based on all the other factors I do not recommend. Which is too bad because I have enjoyed other experiences here before.
Refined pasta, great risottos! Having eaten at Cipriani in New York and Venice, the only difference is the great view of Venice.
Great Meal - Service and food - always a great stop to make when we are in the city.
We are delighted to have iconic Cipriani Fifth Avenue reopened and remaining the same as prior to Covid shut down.
Awful service, rude Maitre d’, too many other great restaurants in NYC don’t waste your time here
Food, as always, was very good. Service good as well but extremely noisy server's station. They can learn how to pile plates and move things around in a more silent and respectful way
Service was above and beyond! We had a wonderful time dining here and felt we received the value with which we spent in return.
Space packed, super noisy and the food was nothing outstanding. Not worth to spend one night in NY
Food and atmosphere is 5-star. Service was slow and inattentive in spite of a heavy staff presence.
Our main corse was brought out before we had a chance to finish appetizers.
So waiter just came over and started collecting our unfinished appetizers with out asking if we were done. Didn't enjoy anything. Didn't stay for desert.
Food was good but service was horrible
From where to start we came in we set at the bar dirty counter and unattended waited 30 minutes to sit at our table while we were on time and other guest who showed up after us were dotted before us. Barman was super tired was working from the AM and messed up our drink no Aperol for the spritz he made it with Campari I can not complain about but at this level of hospitality you can not mess this way. I have to wave at the manager 2 times to be sited then when we sit we were rushed to order because was late to order and we did not enjoy to order what we wanted.
Waiter spilled half of wine bottle and water on the table thy did not apologize or replaced the bottle persons asked if I want to order more, and made stupid comment about not damaging my wife purse not be wet by the wine. This kind of service is not great I have been to all Cipriani in US including casa Cipriani. This was the worst of all. Do not ho is a waist
WELCOME BACK! Sergio and the team are back and it's great to see. My wife and I love it. We actually got engaged there 14 years ago. We went this week for first time since reopening and it was GREAT. Have the lamb chops with the peppers. Outstanding! Spinach and Ricotta pasta and also Braseola.....cheers
An excellent lunchtime venue.
Only negatives: tables too close and noise level unpleasant.
It was obviously not the day of the chef.
piccatina al Limone was only pure fatty sauce.
They know how to prepare this dish as I had the same dish two days early at Cipriani Dolci at the Central Station.
Then the big disappointment: the dessert: asked for Millefolie and the prepared something „surreal „ as if they brought it from the next super market.
Tons of cream applied with a spatula between poorly backed puff pastry.
Asked the manager what this dish was supposed to represent he was evasive took a picture of the „surreal“ thing and then said: „ maybe because we have no chef patisserie..“
I showed him a picture of the same dish prepared by Cipriani in Dubai and he took a photo - again.
So why offer that dish if you don’t have the people to do it??
Returned the dish and still it was invoiced. But never mind.
Superb meal at Harry Cipriani. The butternut squash soup, branzino and vanilla meringue cake were all delicious. The service was excellent as always. The place is quite the scene. Just be prepared for the 5th Avenue prices.
