   The food was ok but not great for the price. The server was attentive but my starter came after my main. This is not something you expect with fine dining.

   Room is beautifully designed and lit, warm, cozy inviting. The food was delicious. Looked beautiful, tasted amazing and the serving dishes were warm...much appreciated. Our server Allegra was responsive, efficient, friendly and engaging without interfering with our meal. She lit up the room. All in all, my new favourite restaurant

   Friendly welcoming staff. Menu has enough variety for all palettes. Food was well made. Beet salad was outstanding. Staff gave recommendations which was helpful.

    Luba and Gabriela were fantastic to us. My wife had a lovely meal on her birthday plus a wickedly good bottle of cab from NAPA (Textbook). Always good - you can choose anything from the menu and enjoy it!

    Menu was a bit short on selections. But food was delicious. I am handicapped. Unable to get through front door with walker. Both doors need to be open to get through. No handicap button to push to open. Trying to hold both heavy doors open while pushing a walker was very difficult. However once inside everything was wonderful. Handicap bathroom great. Staff and server great. Food delicious.

    Very welcoming floor staff, loved being right beside the fireplace, the food was excellent and the presentation very good. I really appreciated not feeling rushed through the lunch.

    we celebrated our wedding anniversary at Hart House. A wonderful place with a magical atmosphere, the staff is extremely kind, the ancient place I'm rich with the contemporary style is magnificent. The food is superb, thanks to the chef for the sensational dishes, the scallops are the best in Vancouver! The attention to detail is wow, Halpy anniversary was written on the dessert - a wonderful gesture from the restaurant. This place is magical!!!

    We were married at Hart House and have been there several times, before and since. It has always been a stellar experience … until last night. The service was a bit slow, especially between “courses”. The table next to us arrived quite some time after us, but was out the door well before us. In fact, their dessert arrived before ours even though we’d ordered it before they’d finished their entrees. My biggest complaint is that the ribeye steaks we ordered were full of fat and gristle. They were easily the worst steaks we’ve ever had and the room was quite dark, which made trimming them difficult. Again, the table next to us ordered a steak and there was very little that the gentleman trimmed off. From where I sat, it looked like his steak was much leaner throughout. This certainty tainted our experience during a very expensive romantic night out.

    Our dinner at the Hart House restaurant was such a pleasure this past week. The food selections were creative, served at a comfortably leisurely pace, the service was delightful and charming, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The octopus starter I tried was reminiscent of a delicious Spanish treat a friend often serves, and the sticky toffee pudding provided a sweet and spicy ending to our dining pleasure.

    Reservation was easy to make and I was able to revise it a couple of days later. Seating was prompt and the setting was perfect. The food selection was very good and the service just the right a punt of friendliness.

    The ambience in the old mansion was beautiful with tables well separated. Quiet atmosphere with soft lighting. The service was superb with all servers knowing their menu well. Unhurried service. Food was very good for Dine Out Vancouver. A totay satisfying experience

    A fabulous lunch shared with friends following a walk around Deer Lake. While not inexpensive, the menu’s creative, the food quality & presentation excellent. The ambiance in this heritage building is wonderful, and the fire burning in the foyer fireplace was especially appreciated. Staff were great about taking photos of our group.

    From my experience hart house was one of the places I wanted to check out since it's also one of the dine out with my family and my better half’s family to celebrate. Dinner was spectacular. The service was great, the staff was friendly and very attentive. Overall my experience was awesome, I've wanted to try this restaurant because I heard nothing but positive reviews.

    Very nice experience - went for the Dine Out Vancouver. The servers could have been more attentive. Had to flag them down to order drinks. Would have been nice for each course to be described when served. Everyone was friendly.

    Host may or may not be there. Food was very good. I love the duck confit. DOV price changed from a week ago from $55 to $58. I know it’s only $3 but still I had to look at the DOV website again and it’s changed there too now. Overall it was a nice experience.
