Perfect dining experience. Great food and exceptional service. Our server made the evening very enjoyable with careful but not overbearing attention to our needs. My husband’s favourite fish is halibut and the dish served was cooked flawlessly. The cocktails were lovely and the financier and pate de fruits was an excellent finish to the evening. Thank you
Excellent meal. Fabulous service. We took overseas guests and they were really impressed. Thank you for yet another memorable evening.
Hartsworth Restaurant locates at a convenient location in downtown near Granville sky train station. Food is well presented and tastes good. Service is courteous. Ambience is upscale. Would be a bit noisy in the little room of main restaurant when there are a lot of customers.
Tactful and graceful, unimposing service. Premium food quality. Excellent wine recommendations. The place to bring people you want to impress.
We came for a birthday dinner and the food was outstanding with impeccable presentation. Additionally the staff went out of their way to make it a special birthday celebration. The best meal we had in Vancouver.
Hawksworth lived up to its reputation. The food was so delicious. Each part of the meal complimented each other beautifully. The staff were gracious, professional and chose the perfect wine. They made us feel special on our 26th wedding anniversary. Highly recommend for a special occasion or treat.
Amazing, creative food.
Delightful dining, excellent service, food as art. I would definitely recommend the Hawksworth.
Amazing service! Price does not match up to the food; too expensive for the quality. Once in a lifetime type of restaurant.
Outstanding experience! Flavours were excellent and well executed. Service was professional - Michael, Roger and the hostess very efficient, knowledgeable and engaging. Definitely coming back. Highly recommended.
Always an incredible experience
FOr the Best restaurant in Vancouver, your expectations are extremely high and I was disappointed. The foie gras on a glass, very difficult and not at all glamorous to eat, the taste was good but not out of normality.
Halibut dish was too salty, the swordfish was absolutely delicious.
The service can take a step back and let the guests enjoy each others company, too much time on the table and not allowing the time to enjoy the food and the company and the restaurant.
Lack of ambiance.
While the food was outstanding I was disappointed in the overall menu selection. I went to Hawksworth because I had heard it had great game. Unfortunately the only way you can have it is if you ordered the tasting menu. At C$129 i didn't feel it was worth it. What we ordered however was great. Pricey but great. Service was outstanding.
Underwhelmed considering the hype. Used to be better when they first open imo.
Hawksworth is an excellent restaurant, which we have enjoyed many times. However, the current tasting menu is disappointing. Nothing stood out. The dishes were enjoyable but not memorable. Stick with the the regular menu. That said, the wine pairings with each dish were excellent, though a bit stingy on the size of the pours.
Hawksworth is worth the money. We shared the squid; I had the burger (epic!), and my wife had the seafood curry. We finished with the dark chocolate dessert. Our server was tops and the sommelier very helpful. No pretension at Hawksworth, just casual class. They really pay attention to details. Loved it! Will go again.
Brilliantly inventive food, attentive service and gorgeous ambiance. Just perfect.
July 1st was our 1st anniversary so wanted to dine at this restaurant. We reserved a table 2 weeks ago with a special request "A table on a quiet side". When we arrived on time (6pm), a receptionist greeted us and checked all the booking details. After that she said "Happy anniversary" to us and took us to a table inside. And guess what...it was a table right next to a washroom. There were plenty of other nice and quiet tables available at that time and we were still introduced to the table right next to the washroom even we reserved a table in advance. The worst part was, our next table was occupied by 4 obnoxious patrons chatting really loud.
I was really upset, so I spoke to a manager right away if we can move to another table. So we were moved to a quiet table in the corner. But our feeling was already ruined. My wife was really upset too.
Also, while we were having our meal there, we were shocked to see that the receptionist was separating the seating. She separated all Asians/Indians to one side of the area and all Caucasians to the other side. I'm really interested to know if she was trained by Hawksworth to allocate the tables/seats depends on the skin color/racial origin.
It's really sad to see that the racial discrimination is still being practiced at Hawksworth.
Long story to short, we wasted our time and money at Hawksworth. Thanks for giving us unforgettable memories on our 1st Anniversary.
The food was definitely worth it, but all other aspects left a lot to be desired.
Walking into the dining area, the seatings and tables were very intimately close to each other. It was difficult to have a personal conversation with someone less than a meter in front of you. The decorations and interior designs were nice, but there were crumbs, etc on the seats and the waitresses had to be asked to wipe them.
In addition, the service was extremely slow, almost lacking considering how few customers there were. A quick brunch ended up taking almost 2 hours.
Great meal. Our server Patrick was wonderful!
Great meal. Artful. Balanced. Perf clay cooked fish. Subtle flavoring. Had sablefish and lobster. Only issue was macaroons were not great.
Food was great. Service was fast and efficient, but restaurant can be noisy.
Our server Hilary was great!! Very attentive and also friendly and personable! Food was wonderful!
Brunch here marked the end of our coast to coast tour of Canada and was a more than fitting end to a splendid vacation. Service was immaculate, The wine epic, the brunch marvellous, the dining room elegant
Our server was absolutely fantastic. The male server (red haired) was so professional and prompt.
Great restaurant! Service was fantastic and the food was phenomenal. Presentation and taste was outstanding.
Great restaurant to visit. A little on the pricy side but you won’t be disappointed.
Wonderful food and excellent service. Good for foodies and anniversaries. Wine expensive but food reasonable.
The tasting menu was incredible. Great service, well prepared cocktails and a great restaurant overall.
Amazing food, great drinks, and top notch and friendly service with a high end feel. Very much a recommended experience. Cried a little when the bill came but more than worth it all in all.
Outstanding experience! We came here for brunch on my best friend's wedding day as part of the getting-ready process, and every staff member went above and beyond to make it a special experience. The food was also excellent, and it was a lovely atmosphere. Would highly recommend - you get what you pay for!
It was a birthday, but no acknowledgement of the occasion. We were a group of 8 and we were told the menu would be limited, but I felt it was quite limited. The service was good but a bit aloof.
The food was outstanding, the cocktails were amazing too (lots of to choose from)
As soon as we entered the restaurant, we felt like home. So cozy and welcoming.
We highly recommend if you wanna try delicious great quality food!
Food was a little slow today but still taste good. The curry I ordered came with basmati rice but it was undercooked. They replaced it with brown rice which will do. The server was nice enough to give us a box of macarons for the slower than normal service today.
Excellent food, unusual combinations but expensive.
THIS CHEF obviously appreciates the greener side of things. Vegan options fantastic. The other portions are ridiculous - why are Vancouver fine dinning restaurants so stingy ? My husband and son could have had 2 plates of their mixed protein with a drop of vege and I do mean teaspoon of vegetables. I am bringing guests back in July with one of my clients - and I am hoping that the powers to be hear this you need to supplement more food on these artistically presented plate, to please save us all from embarrassment of not offering our guests a nuturing meal. The Rose Wood ambiance is all about abundance, until it comes to the mains. Extremely delicious food that deserves to be recalculated. I always tell me guests to eat before they come and I am not a big eater nor know of any people who eat unresponsively.
A superior new menu! The poached pheasant is amazing!
Good service bit noisy initially, food excellent
Delicious food, beautiful presentation and outstanding service. AND they cater to kids with a separate kids menu and coloring. Love this place.
