The service and ambience at this restaurant is lovely. The food was well prepared and very tasty. What our problem was the price and the value. We ordered a dish of pumpkin pierogies for about $20, perhaps 21. When they delivered the dish. It was a huge bowl with three pierogies in it. waaaay over priced.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Hillside Bistro. The night before, we'd been to a highly regarded establishment in Naramata for dinner & were quite disappointed by both the service and the food. We thought we'd give it another go at Hillside and were not only not disappointed, it was beyond our expectations. The host and server were both lovely and attentive. The location and ambience were gorgeous. And, the food and the wine were absolutely divine! It was such a wonderful experience, over all!

We had a wonderful dinner with our party of 4. Beverly, our server, was fantastic! She was very helpful with meal recommendations and her energetic personality! We had the Pork Dinner for 2 and the meal was delicious and a great value. We were very impressed! Their new chef is great! We couldn’t recommend them enough. And if you go, I hope you are lucky enough to have Beverly serve you ☺️

The chef was so creative with dishes that tantalized all our tastebuds! Staff was super attentive. The night was cool, but we were able to enjoy the atmosphere on the patio with a smoky sunset, warm blankets and heaters.

Staff was friendly and courteous. View and atmosphere was beautiful.We were surprised by the mandatory $50 fee for food. Food starter portions were very small. Dinner portions were okay.

Sad the upper patio was not open, food was Ok had the charcuterie starter and a tad under whelming (cheese selections were really poor) not worth the cost I thought! Had the pork chop for two the portion was good and the gravy was great! (Best part of the meal) pork was a bit overcooked. Been before it was was better then, maybe end of the season B Team was on ?? Maybe next time will be better???

The wait staff were great. The first two wines we tried we had to send back, which we have never done before anywhere. The $35 Naramata Bench board was very skimpy,especially the cheese. The scallops and pork belly were fantastic but there were only two scallops. The desserts were great but pretty small for $12. We have loved Hillside on past occasions.

The set lunch menu that we had was amazing! The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. Our server, Madi, made the meal even more enjoyable with her knowledge of all that we were eating and her friendliness. I have never been disappointed eating at Hillside and will continue to come back!

We had a fabulous dinner at Hillside. Beautiful scenery, the service was the best we have ever had anywhere, the food was unbelievable. It was an absolutely perfect evening. I cannot think of a single thing I would change. We were blown away. A comodated a gluten and dairy intolerance with ease and still made it delicious. You have to check this place out. You will not be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Wonderful experience with a set menu. Food was outstanding and what a great location. Service was very attentive and our group of 7 were very well looked after. We even received a call prior to arriving to ensure they had everything in place for us. 5* all around!

The prix fixe menu at lunch had plenty of choice for any taste and dietary needs. Ingredients were local and even the pasta was house-made. Cuisine was creative with excellent presentation. Wine was delicious. Views were spectacular.

Enjoyable lunch at hillside. Had the set lunch menu with appetizer and main for $50/person. Mains were fantastic, we had the steak and pork belly, which I would highly recommend. The sablefish crudo appetizer was disappointing/not very flavourful, but otherwise it was a very lovely lunch. Service was impeccable, mains fantastic. Avoid the sablefish crudo.

We had the four gras and pork belly. They were both outstanding. The chocolates for dessert was worth going there on there own. Highly recommended for the price point

We booked to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. I proposed to my wife on Hillside’s patio 14 years ago. Unfortunately it was a rather underwhelming experience. They kindly got us an excellent table on the upper patio. Truly one of the best views in Naramata. Our server was fairly apathetic in her demeanor and forgot our wine flights for about 25 minutes after we ordered. We had asked to send a couple flights of whites to another couple celebrating at another table. They got theirs but ours took ages. I asked if we might be able to substitute an entree on the Dinner for Two feature. She said no rather brusquely, that’s fair. As a restauranteur I get that. We had no water refills for at least 35 minutes and noticed other tables flagging her down for some. Our entrees were ok, but I asked if there was any Parmesan or another cheese we could get for my wife’s gnocchi, again just a brusque no. I guess that’s ok. Could have been another amazing experience, didn’t live up to the expectations unfortunately. Still a wonderful winery and Naramata is amazing.

We enjoyed the ambiance, the setting and the service. One item of the food that was served was a bit disappointing but they offered a discount on our bill which was very much appreciated. This approach is very professional and we will go back.

We went for lunch. The food was very good but the service was terrible. It took us over two hours to have lunch and it delayed us for other reservations we had. It wasn’t busy at all, only the top patio was being used. It’s a good thing the food was good because otherwise the rating would have been much lower.
