   Had a table reservation via Open Table, but decided to sit in the bar due to the March Madness. Superbly enjoyed the Brussel Sprouts and other appetizers. Additionally, Ed the bartender kept us entertained with his banter and basketball savvy! Next time, I'm ordering a double order of sprouts over a bed of white rice....can't wait.

   We were there on a holiday (Valentine's Day) and had reservations. We were seated late and the first thing our server said was that sushi was running way behind due to "all the carryout orders". The server was correct. We waited over an hour. We should have done carryout I guess.

   We ordered three dishes and some sushi. Our sushi never came. People seated next to us got their order, ate and left while we waited for our sushi. No apology. Just a “will take the sushi off your bill”.

   Hiro 88 always delivers excellent food and a pleasant dining experience. The menu offers a variety of food to please people with unique dietary needs also. I am vegetarian and my wife is keto and we both were easily satisfied. Well worth a try!

    We had lunch on a Saturday and went with the bento boxes. Large variety of options to choose from and the food was delicious. I believe they were short staffed as the lunch took around 2 hours, no problem since we wanted to visit, but this may not be ideal for everyone. The service while slow was good- water and drinks were refilled, our table was checked on.

    The food took 45 minutes after we got our appetizers , not normal but also to be fair , they only had 2 people making it . After we got our food everything was tasteless , cold , no sauces on anything , 10 rolls that all tasted like California rolls . We always order the Same stuff from the downtown location and it has been exceptional every time . The service was excellent , but I would never go back to the Millard location ever .

    Waiter brought us the wrong soda twice. The first time it was weak (Tap needed to be changed). Delivered food that we did not order and had to take it away. Brought more California rolls than we ordered but did not charge us. Just was not very orderly service.

    Made reservations, got seated at a horrible table, asked to move and was told by the high school age host “we can’t were booked and someone else might not like the table too”. As we left a group of 4 didn’t like the table right behind ours and asked for one against the windows and we’re allowed to move. I called management after we left and go a “so sorry”. We spent $180 and this is how we, the customer, were treated. Unprofessional and they act like they are the only sushi place around. We’ll go where the service for the CUSTOMER is better.

    Great service and great food. The Asparagus chicken is the bomb. Also, Make it Rain cocktail really good. Our waiter was attentive. Great overall experience on Christmas Eve.

    Excellent food and drink selection. Service is good, but a little slow when busy. Several gluten free options. Everyone was happy with their meal. Price is on the high side, but based on the fact they were packed on a Sunday night it doesn't seem to be chasing customers off. Due to the GF options we will be back.

    Reserved a high top which is in the bar with TVs and we were seated in the dining area with no TVs to watch the game. There were empty tables in the bar and they ignored multiple requests to be seated where we reserved a table. The food was also substandard for what we have experienced here before.

    I made a reservation and when I got there, they clearly were not prepared. They sat us in a high table vs the lower table I had reserved. They sere understaffed so we had to wait 40 minutes for our entrees. Servers all looked tired and overworked. Food was just okay for the price. The one downtown is more busy, but it has a better atmosphere. Not very likely to come back.

    Sushi was very good. My wife ordered the salmon, and it was also very good (and very big). Service was a bit slow - would have ordered another drink if they had come back to check on us.

    Loved our food - delicious! Our granddaughter's udon noodles came steaming hot, and were still steaming 20 minutes later. Better hot than cold, it's just that she burnt her tongue and had to wait incredibly long just to eat it.

    We waited 50 minutes to receive our meal while watching larger groups of people coming in after we have ordered and then getting their food before us. It was not even busy and in my party of 2 we only ordered a few rolls of sushi. The Nigiri was not quality fish and unfortunately disappointed us.

    Our waitress was very nice. Not her fault the kitchen was backed up and took almost an hour for our food. Sushi was fine. Lo Mein chicken had absolutely no flavor and chicken appeared to be boiled, which did not help with the lack of flavor.

    I like Hiro 88 for cocktails & apps, boyfriend goes for the sushi. We always order the shishito peppers. Service is quick and professional.

    One of the worst dining experiences we have had. After ordering our meals, we waited over an hour to get our food. Only once after 40 minutes did the server come over and even mention anything about the delay, and that was after we flagged down a busboy to ask. He claimed they messed up the order. However even our edamame took over 30 min to arrive. We saw 3 other couples come in, order, get their food, and actually leave before our meal arrived. When leaving we spoke to the manager who claimed he was at aware of the delay and apologized. If the manager is aware, I was quite surprised he would not stop over to our table to apologize for the delay. Even getting a refill on my iced tea took 15 minutes and sat empty most of the evening. When the bill came, we were certainly expecting some sort of gesture for the disaster, but nothing. Incredibly disappointing and we will never be dining at this restaurant again.

    Our party of 5 was seated for 20 minutes prior to walking out. We did let the hostess know we were ready to order upon arrival, but did not receive a waiter. We did have waters brought to our table promptly and even received a refill without a waiter approaching us. I get the short staff Covid excuse, but even the manager didn't try to rectify it as we walked out the door. Needless to say, we'll be visiting the competition next time.

    Service and the food was fair. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great. Our server didn’t offer to guide us to a different food option when he noticed we were not eating what we ordered. We had heard good things about Hiro 88, but unfortunately, did not have the experience we were looking forward too.
