We booked a table for six people for a Wednesday in mid-September 2023, and the restaurant was surprisingly busy. Nonetheless the service was great -- the servers were prompt, friendly and competent. The food was very good ... this was our second time at HOBNOB and won't be our last!

Service/waitress was great. The rest wasn’t. Portion of cod was too small (3x3) for the too high price ($52C). Accompanied by what tasted like canned pork’n beans over overcooked risotto. Don’t order “special” cocktails. Old Fashioned tasted like flat orange soda. Could taste little/no alcohol content. Did not have 1 of the 2 choices of whisky that came with the cocktail. Stick to wines. Maybe we were there on an off night but I wouldn’t return.

The food is good but I think the price is a bit much. My fish had at least 5-6 pretty large bones and the beans were nothing special. For 50+$ I expected more. Foie gras was good but again, I found it all unjustifiably expensive. The lamb was apparently delicious. The service was great. It was cold in the restaurant and a bit dark in our seating area. One guest couldn’t enjoy his food because he was cold.

We had a party of six on the back veranda. It was an ideal setting with the gardens. Our service was delightful and the food perfect! We certainly will be back in the future. Also, everything could be made gluten free which accommodated one guest. Thank you for such a wonderful evening!

We were very disappointed in the quality of the food and the food came out salty like warm and none of party enjoyed their meal. Not to mention it was very expense what a loss of time and money. This place was noted to be a very good restaurant but sadly at our expense fell short of the main elements good food served all at the same time. Too bad unless they hire a good chef with experience there will not be a job non left.

A decent place to eat, but for the money, and how they market themselves, the food was not anywhere close to what we expected. The staff was amazing though and it was a cute place. Based on the food, I would not go back and pay the money for the quality or presentation that we received.

We have been to Hobnob a number of times and enjoy the ambiance and location. This time, the food did not come up to previous visits. It was very good but nothing special and lacked flair. Combined with high end prices, it was a bit of a disappointment.

Anna is superb, we come back because of her. We also appreciate being able to have our dog with us on the veranda. The hostess staff is much less hospitable. If not for Anna, we would have been turned off and likely not dined nor returned to dine with you. The hostess' immediate answer is "no" instead of "let me see".

It was delightful sitting out on the front patio by the fountain. The black cod we ordered for dinner was excellent. Our server, Ashley, was very attentive and efficient., and we really enjoyed our conversations with her. She was a big reason the evening was such a delight!

The service and atmosphere were great. The appetiser was delicious, but we had ordered the chef's vegetarian creation and were VERY disappointed. The main consisted of a lot of orzo, 4 halfed cherry tomatoes, minimal mushrooms and not even the equivalent of 1 asparagus spear! Had the chef added more vegetables it would have been better. We basically paid $30 for a bowl full of orzo. So disappointed in the quality and lack of imagination of the meal.

A step back in time for a classic meal. Foie Gras appitizer and dirty martini were fantastic. Menu is limited as far as entrees go. A few more choices would be nice. Cod was okay. Skin was not at all crispy and some pretty large bones were left in the fillet. The dish was however well composed and tasty. Lamb was a better choice. Cooked perfectly and the garnishes were nice. Service and ambience were spot on.

Beautiful, quiet, expensive, old fashioned restaurant overlooking the golf course. Charcuterie board was delicious and a meal on its own, definitely for sharing; two minor complaints- brie was not warmed up and only three pieces of baguette that were nearly break a tooth crunchy. Rack of lamb was cooked to perfection; however I am not a fan of rapini- a little too bitter for me, but it was balanced by the sweet cous cous. Oast beer on tap was perfectly refreshing for a hot summer evening. Excellent staff- friendly and attentive.

I was disappointed that the food wasn’t as flavourful as I expected. We gave ourselves lots of time before our play, but ended up rushing because the food took so long. There were also things missing from the meals (like no vegetables with the lamb)

We celebrated our anniversary at the restaurant. The food was delicious and I like the fact that it came with the sides. Many fine dining restaurants want to charge extra for sides but not Hobnob. I had rack of lamb and my husband had the strip loin. Both cooked perfectly to our liking. Servicecwas good and the ambience was lovely.

We like everything about Hobnob: got the table for two we requested, a table cloth is a must for fine dining, knowledge and service were evident, the music was quiet and subdued—instrumental, no vocals. The food and portion size and price were as expected. Hobnob is our first choice for fine dining in NOTL.

We were seated outside on the veranda and we’re pleased with the sun shelter and view of their beautiful garden. The service was top notch, with some wonderful recommendations made by our server. There were few main entrees on the menu, but they really delivered on what we ordered. My husband, who is a true carnivore had his palate tempted by the vegetarian chef’s special and was pleased with his selection. The food is pricey, but incredibly tasty. Would look to return in the future.

Ambiance very pleasant and and quiet table overlooking green space and the golf course. Nice to have lunch down Queen street where it’s not so busy. And Hob Nib takes reservations which was important to us. Service was very good, but food took FOREVER to come and we had the lunch monthly special (why did it take so long) and that was the biggest problem. I would have rated much higher if it didn’t take so long for the food. Service very attentive and knowledgeable. Nice atmosphere.

Went to the Hobnob for a nice lunch, was greeted by a great manager, Alan. He welcomed us with open arms and let us pick a seat on the back verandah. What a treat! Avery was our server, she was kind and very efficient! Food was great, ambiance was perfect. Lovely time, would highly recommend.
