Great food in a beautiful setting. Bravo. We hadn’t thought about the Homer for brunch, but we’re glad we did. Brunch menu is not extensive, but everything they do have is great. Would recommend it to anyone.
Great spot for a friends get together. Did not get to try the chicken as the server recommended the daily special. Meat was cooked well and just a tad bit under, but understandable as the window of perfectly cooked and still juicy is very small. Flavor wise the appitizers was good, the rotisserie pork rib was on the bland side and needed much extra sauce. Desert was decent by the books, and can benefit from having a more sophisticated touch.
Chicken skins were the only disappointment everything else was fantastic. Skins were oily and too salty.
Great food!! Must have the Maple Pork belly for sure. Service was awesome and it was hard to decide what to even have. Must try!
Usually enjoy going to Homer Street Cafe; however, this time, felt the food was way too salty.
Cool place! Absolutely worth to visit again.
Tested a bunch of things - chicken skin (a bit salty but we at them all!), Pork Belly (soooo good), bacalahaus (spelled that wrong I know, great), split the pork roast dinner (excellent), peanut butter cookies /nutella dip for dessert and a few cocktails. Everything was great, servers were awesome. Will def be back! Server even split all the food items on our bill, which was a nice touch (i.e. we each got charged for 1/2 all the above).
The Homer Street Cafe is a real gem. Prices are reasonable and the food is very good. I love the daily fresh sheeet but if nothing catches ones eye, the roast chicken is always great.
I also like the fact that reservations are very well honoured with little wait time.
We were a group but the wait staff his the fact that the tip was already included. Just before I paid I asked and she didn't answer. We go to many restaurants. Half of them trick us and we double tip. In fact some of our group doubled tipped. Not ethical in a high class restaurant. Shame on you. I hope that you do something about your 2 unethical waitresses. I plan to have another get together in the summer on the patio. I hope your wait staff find some ethics between now and then.
Great service and great food. Will definitely be back.
One of my fav restos in Vancouver and it never disappoints!
My family and I love this place. We keep coming back for a special occasion. Food, drinks and service are always excellent!!!
Always enjoy this spot and the food is usually great.
Always perfect. Would give Homer Cafe 10 Stars every time
I have been to the Homer St Cafe a few times and if you can believe it, have never tried the rotisserie chicken. On my last visit I ordered it, and devoured it - I have never tasted chicken this good. I wish I lived closer as I would be eating there at least once a week.
Absolutely fantastic place to eat!
My wife and I love this restaurant. Always good service and creative, delicious food. Great to have a restaurant nearby we can count on for good food and ambiance. Exceptional.
Really tasty food; great variety in the menu; lots of tasty options to choose from; great service and cool decor and ambiance. They have a feature roast that changes regularly so there's always the option of something new. I'd go again!
The main course food was great; although the selection is limited. This is a meat lover's restaurant. Service a bit slow but that is better than hovering; the cost of a cup of coffee (and a second as they don't give refills) was exorbitant, and the dessert was not the greatest. They also didn't do anything for our birthdays, even though I stated it as a special occasion on the reservation - and we were sitting next to someone who a got the candle in a tart. I'd go there again, but armed this my memories.
One of the many restaurants that now overcharge for their small amount of wine that at best is average.
Notable how every staff member we met thanked us for our visit on the way to the door...very good manners, well done!
Everything was super fabulous! Our server was especially wonderful. :)
Great Dine Out Vancouver experience. Unique space, lively vibe, excellent food and service. This restaurant was featured on the local news food segment, with the chef preparing one of the entrees featured on the Dine Out menu. The scallop dish looked delicious and it was! Our server Eric, was excellent and offered some great info on some different wines offered. Definitely a spot to revisit.
Excellent food with superior service. Attentive, knowledgeable but discrete and always timely.
Went on a Wednesday night before the Symphony I had the Dine out Vancouver was a great meal well worth the price and my wife had the 3 item Charcuterie and thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely be back and let our friends know
It's too noisy everywhere. and the washroom is too small.
As always, the service and food were great at Homer Street. I took 3 guests who had never dined here and they said it was some of the best food they had eaten for a while. They live in New York and London, so no shortage of good food for them in those cities.
Went here for Dine Out and all the courses were well sized and absolutely delicious! Came out full and very happy with the experience.
The food was fresh. My scallops were delicious. We did dine out and my salad was really good. The service was great.
Took 30 mins to get coffee, another 45mins for food to come and it wasn't even busy. We were served by 4 different people, but not one of them was looking after us. Not the first bad experience. Avoid this place, it always disappoints.
My friend was visiting from out of town and Homer Street Cafe was the perfect spot! We were able to order a wide variety of items that were all amazing! Our server was also top notch being super attentive throughout the evening. Our table was very small so our server was quick to clear plates to make room for more.
Looking forward to coming back!
I took my partner here for his birthday lunch and we were not disappointed. The waitress asked if we had been there before, suggested some of her favourite menu items and was very personable. Once we received the food we were both so satisfied with the flavourfull dishes. We had dessert and wow! It was a perfect experience and we will definitely return.
Smoky close to the kitchen. Hostess said fully booked for the night when there are lots of spots available on open table. Food came quite slow comparing to previous visits, considering it's a Saturday night. Probably will only come back for lunch time.
Roasted chicken was superb! The server went out of her way! The highlight of the evening was the featured dessert - ricotta lemon flavoured custard in a caramel sauce! Made my day!!! Bravo, chef and the whole team!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻😊
Three of us ordered off the daily specials' sheet. I was surprised when our order came because it was completely different from how it was described on the sheet. Luckily, I have no dietary restrictions, so it was fine, just a little disappointing.
We had a great breakfast of steak and eggs and orange ricotta fritters. I expected more of a pancake than a donut. Great dining space and like the ease of booking on open table.
Excellent in every respect. Service and the food all done well.
Our New Year’s Eve experience could not have been better at Homer St Cafe and Bar. Our server was gracious and gave us excellent recommendations. The cocktails were on point and the food was delicious. The rotisserie lamb was the BEST I’ve ever tasted. My husband loved his rotisserie chicken. This is a great spot we’ll return to!
Everything that we ordered was fantastic! Try the chicken skin and the pork belly!! Service was fabulous as was the drinks in a really cool atmosphere!
The food was incredible. We had an amazing time. Will definitely be back!
