Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the historic Homer Building and new Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Slow, small portions, and a dirty bathroom. With so many great options such as Lupo, Giardin,o or the Hamilton street trio nearby do yourself a favour and pass by this place.

Trendy little spot for brunch. Staff are very friendly, food is excellent, highly recommend the pulled pork benny!! Favourite spot for brunch when visiting Vancouver.

The food here is consistently excellent, the service is personal and provided by knowledgeable staff, but the noise can be a bit much. The music is consistently too loud, and the tables are set very cozily, so you hear all about the table-next-to-yous business merger or personal life, but if you're prepared, it's a wonderful time!

The food is amazing and so is the atmosphere! Unfortunately they took the reservation twenty minutes late and put us up in the small eating area upstairs above the bar and it was very noisy and hot with a fairly large birthday party. When the manager realized they were so late seating us he offered coffee and then we had to ask when the coffee was coming and then charged us for it...it was a bit of a disappointment as I love this place when I come into Vancouver

We were seated at the counter overlooking the kitchen, which was great because it was like watching a live-action cooking show. The food was excellent and came out quickly between plating and serving. We found the music a little too loud to be able to speak to each other and our server was a little more absent than we were expecting. Overall, we would go there again.

Not great for vegetarians. The meat eaters were all very happy with their food, but I was very disappointed with the vegetarian dishes. We went there because the menu boasts a lot of vegetarian sides which sounded great, but I felt the quality of those dishes was subpar. Would not recommend for vegetarians, but overall good experience otherwise.

Really wanted to like this place as I lived close by and heard rave reviews. The service took a while to come to us (they were also indicate they were training) but it seemed like we were forgotten for a while before they finally came to take our order. Our food took even longer, the beer and mimosa were almost cold when our food hit the table. I ordered the beef brisket and tater tots poutine, it was a bit high on the salty slide and tasted one dimensional (only salty), it wasn't bad but wasn't great. The fried chicken French toast was not bad, but wish we had a little more sauce. The sausages we ordered on the side were rather room temperature than hot. They were not dry nor moist.

certainly the best eggs Benedict in BC if not Canada. The dining area is decorated with such care that you'll want to sit and enjoy the view, ambiance and design for hours. Great place to bring friends visiting Vancouver for the first time.

One of the best meals I've had in a while in a restaurant! Also the house wines/glass were really very good. I had a glass of the Angeline Cab Sauv, reasonably priced and very nice. The Kale salad was delicious and very unique, I ordered the Rigatoni Alla Norma, it was also delicious, light, not greasy at all, very flavourful and the pasta was cooked perfectly al dente. My friend had the Ling Cod and also found it very good. I've never been here for dinner before, only for brunch and I would definitely return, the service was also excellent, a refreshing change from many of the restaurants I've been to recently where the wait staff are either annoyingly in your face/trying to be your friend or non existent/completely inattentive. It's a bit loud for my taste but the atmosphere is great.

Lunch menu terrible. Either small or expensive. Not much choice for lunch under $25. Two of us had the cauliflower soup. It was like warm at most. Disappointed. My friend had the sweet potato. She did not enjoy it at all. Again not much choice but the potato was small and too sweet. Breakfast/brunch much better. More sandwiches please. Salads. Lunch portions needed. No one wants to spend $38-$35 for a lunch entree. Also ordered a latte served in a small glass??? Too hot to lift up. Had to wait a long time for it to cool off. Don’t you have coffee cups?? Come on!
