Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the base of the historic Homer Building and the Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

I always enjoy this restaurant and the lovely staff, but I want to give a special shout out to Tommy, who made an evening out with my mom, extra special. Thank you Tommy for your kindness and care, it meant so much.

I used to really enjoy Homer Street cafe. This experience was a big surprise. The service was excellent. The food was bland at best and extremely overpriced. I’m not sure what’s changed here, perhaps everything… Burrata served on cornbread was bizarre. Not horrible but … just odd. And beef tartare served with potato nuggets… like McCain tater tots… I’m not a chef but if u are going to charge these prices? DO BETTER. The food was BLAND, uninspired and very pricey. Unthinkable really. I’m so disappointed. A loyal customer - no longer.

Very nice restaurant we tried for the first time for brunch on a holiday Monday. Eggs benny were excellent, and mimosa, coffee very good. The only thing is that the food took a while to arrive - at least 45 minutes.

We were friends of 38 years who hadn’t seen each other for 12. Had a FANTASTIC time. The table beside us were dressed in costume for a birthday and we ended up, at times as a group of 7. Food was delicious, drinks were amazing and the service was truly OUTSTANDING from the lovely Bronagh, Homer Street’s Superserver!
