Homer Street Cafe & Bar
Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the historic Homer Building and new Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Such warm welcome and attentive service from David, made our experience extra special. We have tried the chicken liver parfait which was delicious. My friend had their signature Burger - to die for! and I had the mussels - mmm they were so juicy and flavorful! Kudos to the the kitchen team, nailed it on all fronts!
Nice and cosy spot, with a family feel, staff was really friendly and personable.
Highly recommend and can't wait to go back!
The brunch was delicious! We shared the bug breakfast and the burger.
Overall experience is just average. Not a place I would go out of my way to eat at. Another average and non-creative menu.
We had an awesome experience. Our waiter David was outstanding! Everyone we dealt with in the restaurant was great.
Always consistently good. Delicious food and excellent service. We keep going back :)
Pitchers of mimosa... Enough said 😍
Caesar, ling cod and butter tart were stellar. They didn't give me a complimentary birthday dessert even though I have brought 12 people 2 tables of 6 regularly for happy hour.
Widest mussle in my life, doesn’t worth the price
Very good food and atmosphere. Very cute place to go for brunch.
Celebrating our daughter’s engagement and felt the ambiance was fitting-lively and fun. Overall the food was okay but I ordered the special, a bolognese pasta, which was served lukewarm and in my opinion, a little greasy and uninspired. My daughter’s pasta was also lukewarm but the taste was good. Small portions for both. I think everyone else enjoyed their meal, no one said one way or the other.
Great waitress. My fave. Aussie accent. Delightful and attentive with the added bonus of serving us great food.
Excellent service from start to finish. Our server was knowledgeable and very attentive. Food was outstanding!
Wow, most of the reviews talk about the excellent, "attentive" service, but what they fail to mention is the aggressive up-selling.. every time the server checked in with us, it was another glass, another appie, etc.. EVERY DAMN time... at some point, wouldn't you think that "okay, this couple just wants dinner and then its a quick cover and the table is turned. it's not like we were super demanding (at all) and were trying to have some "us" time...
food was very tasty - wine was delish, our blonde English server just needs a wee bit o' coaching...
Had a lovely 45th wedding anniversary. Our server was fantastic; even special treats as well as terrific food. Wonderful time was had by all. Thanks so much.
Did not feel we got good value. Food was mediocre for what we paid. Would not come back again
Excellent service, friendly and attentive.
love your brunch menu
I'm not a brunch guy, but the meatloaf & sunny side up egg on sourdough was a really good dish. Delicious food! and a great place to hang out!
I really enjoyed my dinner at Homer Street Cafe and Bar. The appetizers we got were delicious and the drinks were great as well. The chicken was a little bit salty for my liking but I tend to like my food a little bit bland. Overall great experience!
Great experience as always. Simple food done very well and great service.
Chicken wings are so good here. Our other go to favourite is the Cobb salad. For brunch, it’s always the eggs Benny.
Great experience! Food was great!
Delicious food and quick service. Would highly recommend their rotisserie chicken.
It was refreshing to have an energetic team not rush our dining time.
I adore this place, the service is amazing the food is fantastic. Every time I want to go out I want to go here. Loved their thanksgiving dinner, love the brunch too it’s just too tier cuisine. x
Overall the food was quite tasty, but some missed the mark of an truly delicious restaurant. The dessert in particular was disappointing. I believe that other restaurants might offer better value.
That being said, this is a great restaurant to come to with a group. Everyone can eat well and on a per-person basis the cost is more reasonable. There are also great sharing options, notably the chicken. The service was also excellent (very friendly) and the atmosphere was lovely: Great music and aesthetically decorated.
The foods was amazing delicious, services was good and friendly. I will definitely go again~~
The service was great, cocktail list was fantastic and the food was absolutely phenomenal. 10/10 would recommend
Patio is a beaut, drinks were delicious
Service was responsive and friendly. Delightful, casual-chic-lively atmosphere both indoors and outdoors. The beef lunch entree had an odd, almost gamey flavour: wouldn’t recommend that dish, but the salads and service were lovely!
Homers is truly a welcoming “family” restaurant. Excellent service. Excellent food. What more could you want?
We had a wonderful first visit to Homer Street Cafe for my fiancé's birthday. The food was excellent and the service was great! Can't wait to go back!
Incredible service and cocktails. Food was quite good but a bit overpriced for the offering. Overall a great experience. Highly recommended.
Well done as usual - one of my favorite spots
Been to Homer Street multiple times and have never been disappointed. The service and the food are always wonderful. Great atmosphere as well.
Made a reservation and requested outdoor seating but was told they could not guarantee an outside table. We showed up 10-15 mins early to try and secure an outside table. Staff was very accommodating and did everything to seat us safely and in a timely manner. Our server and others were all exceptional. Value was ok but pricing is a bit high - mashed potatoes for $12 seems excessive. Food tasted wonderful
I've been there several times so far, always had very good experience.
Love everything about this place. Never disappoints!
We had all the specials and they were excellent. Pork with farro risotto, squid caesar salad and warm caramel bread pudding. Very comfortable and calm on the patio. Service was always pleasant and courteous though one server seemed a little awkward delivering cocktails and dishes -maybe a little more practice? A lovely and delicious evening overall .
Love this spot for lunch. I go on a regular basis!
