Homer Street Cafe & Bar
Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the historic Homer Building and new Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Everything was very good but at times the music was blaring. Then the cook took her mask off to yell out orders
Always consistently welcoming with great food, service and ambience.
Really great food! Happy hour burger was unreal. Value was incredible. So many fries, burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. Beef tartar was yummy! Everything delicious. Quite loud and energetic if seated near kitchen.
Amazing food! Lovely ambience and service was great. Highly recommend!
The ribs and butter tarts were unbeatable!
Food quite good if, as usual, a little salty. Service good until the waitress became a little distracted with the strapping lads next table over, and made me call out to her a few times when I needed service. Noise great, as in no music, until some bright brain decided to turn music on to ear splitting level - why for the love of God? Wine was good.
Excellent service, delicious food, gorgeous decor and ambience. Can't wait to come again!
Sat in the café by the prep kitchen. Staff was super on it and friendly and it was pretty entertaining to watch the chef and cooks work! Delish - stoked to come back
The service was wonderful! I celebrated my birthday there and they made the evening very special significantly creating a warming feeling for the customer!
Homer Street Cafe has a welcoming, lively atmosphere. We had a wonderful meal including the roast chicken and the salmon. Both meals were very well prepared.
Good food. Very good service. Good value and the wine list was pretty good too.
Good way to kick off the new year and celebrated my birthday here! We got bubbly on the house for my birthday, it made it extra special for me! Food was amazing and service is top notch from the greeter/host to our server. Everyone has been very welcoming and friendly. Will definitely come back again! :)
Spent our NYE here and we had a great time. The place was packed and the service was good. Our meals were a tad late but they gave us free white wine to compensate for the wait. We ordered their Full Monty and it was great. We loved the chicken and the ribs. Meal is good for 3-4. I particularly loved their Cheesecake and Line Margaritas. We will be back.
Excellent food and service. Will be back again and again!!
Consistently palatable with a positive magical vibe.
We had a wonderful pre-Christmas family lunch and the Staff was wonderful as usual and food as always so tasty!
A large built gentleman was much authoritative than my expectations. That made even staff to act differently.
Good food and the service was great. COVID-19 protocols were not what they should be. Cook observed wearing mask incorrectly. Music was very loud and we had a hard time having a conversation.
Their Big Breakfast never disappoints! Tried their hot chocolate for the first time and absolutely loved it.
10/10 all around
Amazing food and great service. All the dishes are good.
There is only one vegan choice on the menu - it's Vancouver and lots of vegans. If there were at least three options I would provide a higher rating.
Birthday Great restaurant a bit too noisy…. Food wonderful
Great ambience, good food for a business lunch or dinner.
Server was dialled, fast and made great recommendations. Food was unreal and same with the wine!
I had reserved a high table for 2 for 7:15PM but found out from the hostess that our table was not ready, we waited until 7:30 and found out that two other customers were still seated at our table...thankfully we were given a seat at the bar which was an okay compromise and I appreciate that. But I do wish that they had done more previously to ensure that our original booking at the table would have been kept.
Regardless I'll still return! This restaurant is damn good!
Our server was excellent. The food was great. Had a lovely bottle of wine.
Homer Street Cafe is a favourite of ours. We love the Homer Cobb Salad, the burger, lamb shank, hanger steak and more. All fabulous. The service is great and nicely attentive. Highly recommended!
From a COVID safety point of view I really would have preferred barriers between the very close tables. But the food and service were awesome.
Always consistent good service, good food, and a very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommended if you enjoy a comfortable. delicious and welcoming meal experience.
Consistent good food and service. Easy, casual ambiance. A regular go- to.
Historic building with great service and great food. Hey he noise echos quite a lot and it can be a bit noisy. Hey he ambience was a little lacking but enjoyed the food an service
We had the Full Monty and it was fabulous for a mini family reunion. A warm and lively room. Highly recommend!
Tried brunch here for the first time was delicious!
We always have amazing meals with HSC. We ordered most the appetizers on the menu and were not disappointed. Looking forward to many more visits!
Dry rude hostess. Very noisy
Great service and ambience in a superb location if you're going to an event. Just tried the happy hour menu as we were there before 5:00 but will definitely return to sample the dinner menu. Will be back.
Thoroughly enjoy the ambience and the whole table loved their food.
