Homer Street Cafe & Bar
Housed in two of Vancouver’s most iconic buildings, Homer St Cafe and Bar is a contemporary restaurant set in the historic Homer Building and new Beasley building in Vancouver’s Yaletown district.
Classic comfort cooking takes center stage thanks to a fire engine red rotisserie that roasts all manner of proteins. It’s chicken that’s the star here: served in quarter, half or whole portions, accompanied by classic sides basted in jus.
A decidedly adventurous wine and cocktail list rounds out the menu. The restaurant features two spaces that consist of an open concept kitchen “Chef’s Bar” where one can get up close and personal with the culinary team, a semi private dining room with reclaimed factory windows, and bespoke seating complemented by antique tiling.

Amazing food, drinks and service. Will definitely be back!
Just two points… one the music is far too loud! two - sadly this is another resto that’s gone the wag of charging for EVERY SINGLE extra. We all know good food is expensive but there comes a time when all the extra charges just feel like you’re being nickel and dimed to extinction.
BUT - on the positive note - the food and service are always stellar!!!
Super cute! I love that you guys made my friend feel special about her birthday. Thank you so much for the special touch.
Outstanding, love this place, we always come here when visiting from Montréal, it’s a must on our itinerary, Homer never fails to deliver delicious food and amazing service. Love, love, love.
Great place. a bit pricey for the serving sizes. great service and ambiance
A place that takes brunch reservations, just wow, how awesome is that.
Celebrated our anniversary there and they brought us champagne. Love this restaurant, food and service. Our favorite restaurant in Vancouver!
Great room on a cold Fall day. Food was very good, as was service.
Nice interiors. We sat outside as they were busy inside. Service was great, food was great. A bit expensive for the kind of food that was served but overall great experience!
Great service and delicious food.
Very attentive yet not overbearing service. Great food- both appetizers and main course. Definitely a happening place, as there were still ample crowds (and noise) when we left at 10pm. Overall a solid and worthy-to-visit place.
Our server was amazing and the food was to die for!
Great food - did the Full Monty. Ribs were perfect and the chicken was beyond expectations
The food was amazing! Service was wonderful! Everyone at our table was impressed with the food and service. Loved the feel of the place as well
Excellent food, great service and friendly staff. Ambient room noise is a bit on the loud side, but the dining experience is excellent.
Another fabulous dinner at Homer Street Cafe! Tonight we had their Hanger Steak, Cobb salad and a side of fries. (And a warm butter tart.) Delish! Great service by Stephane. Thanks to the whole HSC team! 👏👏👏
The service was great. Can't remember the name of our server but she was a pro.
Better than home🍗
Great Eggs Benny. The restaurant was pretty loud, but I don't think there is much that can be done about it due to its design and layout. It was my second meal, and I will definitely be back again to try more.
Great food and great service.
The room is extremely noisy. The wait staff were in need of more training. The chicken was very good, the salad had too much radicchio and dressing and was bitter. The coffee is terrible. My dining companion accidentally spilled her glass of red wine. Admittedly her mistake, but it would have been a classy move for the restaurant to offer to replace the single glass of wine she ordered. It was too bad, because the room is lovely.
Thoroughly enjoyable evening had, with nice drinks and nice appies. Slightly cheeky to use Beefeater gin for a “Spanish Style G&T” and charge $15 or so but it still tasted good :)
Great experience the server was a bit flustered but otherwise it was a wonderful meal
There were 3 of us there. I had the burger which was a gut bomb, as was what my wife ate which was the cobb salad. A friend of ours ate the eggs benny with ham and had to go to work after. For the first hour and a half of her shift she thought she was going to be sick. The service was outstanding but the food was not good at all.
Great food and service! Waiter was nice and accomodating.
Great food as always. Servers very friendly and professional. Wonderful brunch spot!
I took my management team here for brunch on a sunny Saturday. It was super busy upon opening. Our server and the entire team didn't miss a single beat - quick friendly service, hot delicious food and a really well appointed setting! I love this place!
Very intimate setting for going out with your significant other or friends. Would recommend for the ambiance and food during happy hour.
Lovely spot in downtown Vancouver.
Amazing services and one of the best brunch in town!
The service was very prompt, the food was excellent, but we felt very rushed - rushed to decide, rushed to order, and rushed to finish our meal. The prices have gone up considerably and while the food was excellent, it was expensive.
Service was spotty, lamb was over-cooked and lukewarm and lager was mediocre.
Food was ok.. the ribs and chicken were delicious, but the sides were a bit underwhelming. The server was very sweet and accommodating
It is a Very loud restaurant...I would come back if it was a quieter place. The music was so loud I couldn’t speak with my dinner companions
A great place for a celebratory dinner. I love the seasonality of the menu. I wish there were more meat options.
The Homer St., Café is the epitome me what a café or bistro is all about! The cocktails are well-crafted and the food is delicious! I love the combination of a vibrant, modern atmosphere with a building that has old school charm! Honestly, there is nothing about HSC that I don’t love!
Food was ok. Waiting for 15 minutes to be taken the order, and 45 minutes to be given the food after the order was not ok.
It was noisy for sure, but fun people watching and excellent but simple food.
Cobb salad plus fries equals happiness.
This was our first time at Homer St for brunch and it was fabulous. The menu featured elevated standard brunch fare and the service was just spectacular. No idea how they manage it when every other restaurant in town seems to be suffering from staffing issues, but it was a pleasure. Great spot, great decor, great food and great service!
Exceptional good quality, kind service, beautiful restaurant. I highly recommend.
