    Friendly. Food quality was close to excellent. Drink prices seem excessive. Service was great, however bartender was slow with cocktail that was priced so high. If they could revisit their drink prices this would close to five stars.

    Loved the food, service and ambiance of dim lighting, candles and fresh flowers on the tables! The only two things which would have made the experience even better would be to have had an earlier reservation to take in the lake view and sunset as you couldn’t appreciate the view at dark! The other thing that could have made the experience even better is if classical live music would have been played on their grand piano ! Overall I it was excellent!!

    Leah was a terrific server with a fantastic smile and great energy. The curry bowl was so tasty but just a heads up…it’s not spicy so if you like spice ask for them to add to it. That’s what I did and it was perfect. I will definitely order it again.

    The food at the Merganser has really come up a notch with their new chef and kitchen staff. Great value for what you get--loved the appetizers and the cocktails. The service was very nice but a bit slow--to be expected lately so no issue.

    We were seated outside. The heaters and blankets kept us very comfortable. We were happy to sit outside as the music inside we felt was too loud.

    We ordered a starter and shortly after received two starters that belonged to another table. We gave them to the table that they belonged to, it was kind of funny until our bill arrived and we discovered that we were billed for the other tables starters as well. Our entrees arrived and were only slightly over room temperature. They were sent back and newer, warmer starters arrived, mine had slightly charred vegetables. We dined here last year when we were up and the food was much better. Overall our meals were okay, not great but not horrible.

    It is always a pleasure to dine at the Hooded Merganser. The food is delicious, the servers are friendly and knowledgeable about the food and the wine list. The view is spectacular and creates a wonderful ambiance within the restaurant. Prices are comparable with all other restaurants.

    The location and building are great. Is there a chef onboard? Food was not memorable. The Caprese Salad was uninspired. Lessons could be learned from the Naramata Inn Caprese Salad just down the shoreline. I would recommend this location for the architecture and view.

    The food was fantastic and location was beautiful and convenient. We had a quiet evening but it could be crowded and noisy with more people. Service was friendly but there was a long delay getting the main course. I would recommend the place and would go back again.

    This restaurant is always worth it just for the view, year-round! This time it was a beautiful late summers early evening and you can see right up the lake to Peachland. We were with UK vegan guests who loved the meal and were very happy they could be accommodated with jackfruit pizza and tacos. It was busy and there was a slight wait for meal service but not excessive and our server was friendly and apologetic. Overall another great meal with a view!
