The location was excellent! Staff were friendly and helpful, and provided great service. The food was reasonable priced and quality was food.
Excellent experience, great food, great space, excellent service.
The food is less than average and pricy. The only good is the view and would not go back again.
Great and kind service from staff
Marvelous view and ambience
Don't forget to mention their August promotion which is really reasonable in price and 3 menu composition
The best part about Horizons in the view. The food is always good, but not amazing. However, you really can't beat watching the sunset from here and walking the grounds after dinner. Highly recommend!
the food is below average and way overpriced. Tasteless salmon, raw steak. Will not be going back.
We took a relative visiting from Switzerland to Horizons for dinner and we were not disappointed
Good food. Good service. Although I'm surprised they don't have pasta on the menu.
One of my favorite restaurants - staff is friendly and go out of their way to make dinner experience a pleasure. Went with a group of friends who raved about the dinner menu. Food delicious
Habib provided excellent service with a great attitude and attention to detail. Food was exceptional. Thank you for a great experience!
We brought another couple along and enjoyed the dinner time very much. My husband is very deaf so it was a bit noisy for him with a boisterous bunch of guys behind us.
Beautiful atmosphere and unbelievable sunset view. The food, however was over cooked, overpriced and not satisfying. We had a terrific waiter and had high hopes, but a $400 dinner for 5 people should have been more memorable for taste than the views.
We had another delightful dinner
Horizons does a great job of food presentation and the food is of high quality. The panoramic views from the restaurant are wonderful. We were celebrating a special occasion and the complimentry sparkling wine was appreciated. We will be back.
We come here regularly and was very surprised to be disappointed. Two of our salmon dishes we almost raw and a third was over done. Sure hope this was an exception, but the restaurant was not busy so don’t know what could possibly have gone wrong.
Fantastic! What a treat to find and in the presence of wonderful people serving me and my son a lovely meal... very grateful! Thank you!
Birthday...no special dessert like other restaurants .
Spent $100, for brunch would expect a small gesture
The food was very good, the price was eye-watering = and no one responded either at the time of booking or in person at the table, to the fact that this was my wife's 80th birthday meal. Quite a disappointment - cool to indifferent - you choose.
I've been to this restaurant many times. After the fire, few years ago, I've noticed it going from bad to very bad! ... not sure what happened, maybe they've lost the chef, but something is not right!
Menu has to many items. Fish section has 3 items all of them ... salmon! Calamary were not tasty, lamb chops were under-cooked, pork chops meet was ok, but comes with way too many vegetables. Not classy at all.
Service was very slow, despite the fact that I went by the opening time and it was not crowded!
... but the view is spectacular! ... though, I will avoid this restaurant until they get their act together!
Service is good, ambiance excellent. Food is too expensive for overall taste and quality of entree. Appetizer is good and tasty though, especially the calamari.
We really enjoyed our dinner on Saturday night. Horizons was not very busy which surprised me considering the food is delicious, reasonably priced and the view is spectacular!! Server was very friendly as well as the busier. I would definitely recommend Horizons .
PS there is a coupon for filet mignon and prawns .
Great view, quiet, fantastic service and food. Can't go wrong.
Came here with a friend. The service was excellent, he offered suggestions and explained the specials for that day.
My friend ordered the pork chop with charcoal butter. She really liked it as the charcoal butter gave it a unique but flavorful taste.
I got the striploin. It was cooked medium rare perfectly. It was tender, juicy, and just enough spices to accentuate the steak.
Awesome food with an amazing ambience and service.
Very nice setting with amazing views . Food was delicious and service was up to the task . Wine was a bit overpriced for my liking but it was our 10th wedding anniversary so it was worth it .
The service was excellent and everyone loved their meals except for my wife. She didn't care for the Salmon dish. It's a great restaurant in an exceptional setting with stunning views. The restaurant itself could use a little update, it's looking 'tired'.
Small patio. Best view ever. Great food and service. And not one bug.
Food was just ok. Seemed bit dry. Nice view. Nice service.
Perfect location and good food. Worth a special occasion.
We enjoy going to Horizons every year for our anniversary. They make their classic Chocolate Pate dessert for us!
The food is always good and there is a good variety to choose from. We had their Filet Mignon and Prawn special this time. The filet was cooked nicely. For me, I wish that I could choose the vegetables though. I didnt like what was included, but life goes on.
Our waitress remembered us from previous years, and the pate request.
Thank you to the staff for making this another memorable dinner date celebration.
My partner chose The Horizons to help us celebrate an anniversary and were somewhat surprised at the change in the whole experience from what I can remember. As we entered, the front door wasn't quite working right and then the mat wasn't clean. We decided on the omelette offering and I felt that it didn't arrant the price asked for. There seemed to be a lack of waitering for the tables and we had to wait a long time for the bill. There was a large party at tables not far away and the noise level of course, was quite high. So all in all, not a great experience for us.
Hello...we went for brunch for our anniversary on Sunday July 7th. To list the positive first...the location is beautiful, peaceful and a treasure...what is so sad is that the food ....to be honest was a joke. Truly...and that is sad. I ordered the basic breakfast....and what I got was over cooked eggs, undercooked bacon, potatoes obviously from a frozen package and dry toast....and that cost I think $18. My husband got a bowl of ....well ...he didn't know what it was and did not finish it....our daughter got the omelette and a few sad baked items. I can see why the place was pretty empty except for a big birthday party and few tables here and there. What is going on in your kitchen? We certainly won't be back except to walk around the beautiful gardens...but certainly not to eat.
Very disappointed with a number of things- during online booking I mentioned a very special occasion (50th wedding anniversary) yet not a hint of anything during our meal; I ordered the pork chop but left half due to a significant amount of grizzle- mentioned to waiter who simply said “hope it is better next time”
Won’t recommend until things improve
The view is lovely and the service was very good. In fact, they gave us each a complimentary glass of champagne as it was our anniversary, which was very nice. We ordered the special which was a seafood tower and it was delicious and just enough food for the two of us. The drinks were good too.
My only criticism is that the space itself could use some updating/upscaling. The tables were a bit dinged up and could have used a nice white tablecloth to improve the appearance. The walls are in need of some paint. It would be great if the owners could invest a bit of money into freshening up the space but other than that we had a very nice evening.
They charged $36 for a steak. It was the worst steak I have ever eaten in my life, taste like eating cardboard, no taste at all. I tried to put ketchup and mustard to finish it, but cannot continue eating the cardboard.
Disappointing experience. Sadly, the quality of the food does not match the beautiful location. Would be willing to pay the high-end prices IF the food were worth it. Why serve a steak full of gristle on a bed of watery mashed potatoes? Twice!?
Food was delicious. However, our service was not good initially. They couldn't find our reservation even though it was booked long back since we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. Eventually, they found it but we had no server for some time until we asked ourselves. Once we did eventually have a server, he was good.
I would not recommend it for young couples .. it’s more for a family function or over 50 crowd .
Lovely meal to say thank you to our hosts at the end of our visit from England
It was great. I'd write more but the app keeps crashing on me.
Previous visit a week ago was very good. So decided to treat my visiting friends to the same venue with all kinds of beautiful city views. This time find the food cold. We ordered 5 salmon meals with Jun promotion. The side food rice, carrot, potatoes all hot even the plate but the fish itself. Very disappointing as fish needs to be eaten at a good heat temperature. Did not complain to the food server because what you expect is take the dish back to the kitchen and microwave it. This is a considerably high class restaurant and the act to reheat the food is very awkward.
Side order of soup and fried squid is very good , hot and tasty.
Do not understand why this time the 5 dishes of salmon being cold. Is it to do with they are promotion menu so the level of food quality is less good. I feel quite embarrassed as I had told friends good food place. Also I found the restaurant itself needs a face lift, it has old carpet and no table cloth but price is high on food.
