    Decent service, but the lasagna (@$26 with no side) was overwhelmed with gobs of melted cheese, and the Market Salad was over dressed. Noisy, too.

    Buffet presentation was gross for the most part with spills slopped all over the tables. Staff unfriendly and not keeping up with replacing empty items for the buffet. Too many tables and people all rammed into a tight space for the buffet made everyone agitated. It was not the experience I remember as I used to enjoy their brunch buffet in the past.

    We enjoyed our visit but it was my wife’s birthday which we had told the restaurant and were specifically coming here for the jazz brunch - we were seated on the opposite side of the restaurant to the jazz band so could not hear them at all - this was the main reason we booked the brunch so this was a bit disappointing. Service good and food was nice so overall still had a nice time

    We were overall disappointed with the service. We have been regular customers. Yesterday when We ordered an appetizer and grilled calamari. The server was clearly not paying attention. She was distracted. When the food arrived, we reminded her about the appetizer, to which she indicated that she didn’t log that as an order. Further when rest of the food arrived, we received breaded calamari. We reminded her that we requested for grilled calamari. She took the dish back and returned with information that grilled calamari were out of stock now. Our friends were disappointed with our choice of restaurant and we don’t see ourselves coming back again. Sorry, but the food quality and service quality has dropped drastically.

    It was quite busy in the restaurant and our waitress seem to be a little bit runoff her feet. Our food arrived and it was warm not hot and this detracted from the overall experience. when we finally got a dessert menu, the waitress told us that they were out of carrot cake but made no suggestions for another option which was kind of strange. We like the hot house and we would return, but we were disappointed with the lack of consistency.

    Katie our server was excellent and the cook staff accommodated my wife who is Gluten free with a wonderful meal and were very informative as to the options available...we highly recommend the Hothouse and definitely will be back .

    You can always count on the Hot House for a great meal and experience. The new vegetarian pasta additions to the menu are fantastic, delicious and much appreciated. We loved the cavatelli sardi

    Our main were delicious. Short ribs and pickeral both outstanding. Everything on the plate was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. The Caesar salad needs some help. it had little flavour and the croutons were not crispy at all.

    Great breakfast buffet. Wish there were more vegetables such as mushrooms, tomato, hash browns etc but overall I’ll be back. Lovely atmosphere and recommend if you’re in downtown Toronto

    HH is always a pleasure. The food last night was not up to par - the Steak Frites wasn't very hot and the steak itself was dry and a bit tough. I was glad to see one of my favourites on the menu, but it wasn't what I expected. Too bad. For the price, it should have been excellent!

    Service is excellent! Loved the red prosecco. Food items loved the Korean chicken, pan seared mackerel. The mussels can be improved - it's very small. Overall we loved our meal and will visit again.

    This was a second visit too hot house. Absolutely had an enjoyable time. We were beautifully accommodated by sitting near the jazz band who played wonderfully. It was a Sunday brunch, celebrating a graduation, and we could not have picked a better place. Thank you very much will be returning again soon.

    My family has been coming here for decades. We had not been here since before the pandemic and this was the first time we were so disappointed by the buffet experience. We all got stomach issues after eating here. The eggs were cold, the sausages were only boiled and not browned. Most of the food was cold. It never use to be this way, back in the day all the food stayed warm and everything was fresh. We were so looking forward to the experience. Not sure if it’s under new management but it was really bad. We’ve been coming here since the 80s. Not sure if we’ll return, we even discussed finding a new brunch buffet place to go to now.

    We were a party of 3 and each our dinner meals were of poor quality and taste. It was expensive for the meals. The server said that they just changed the menu. I had to return the shrimp, the salad was over-dressed, the pasta and salmon had no seasoning. I will not be returning.

    Appetizer was excellent. Ribs were really good as was the soup. Vegan burger - deep fried! What’s the point of trying to be healthy if it’s deep fried. French fries, just meh. Nothing special. Mocktail for $10 was delicious but too small for the price (mostly ice) but the cider was amazing. Service was spectacular. Probably wouldn’t go here again cause the food was overall just 7/10 and I would rather spend my money somewhere else. For almost $100, it was underwhelming.

    Had a wonderful meal with my best friend on the day that was in the middle of our birthdays. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. There was never a rush. Enjoyed our drinks then ordered our food. Throughly excellent dining experience.

    In Toronto for a holiday from the UK, and chose HotHouse as the venue for my husband's birthday meal. Really varied menu, and we all enjoyed our meals. Good quality food, well cooked and really tasty. My husband had the short ribs, and stated it was the best meal he could ever remember having! Friendly, helpful staff. If we lived locally, we would definitely return.

    The service was outstanding (as usual) but the food level has dropped, because I understand that the restaurant is in the process of changing its menu. The pizza had been great but last night's pizza was a below average pizza as the dough was hard (but not crispy) and had no flavour. My buddy and I go there for the pizza, but sadly now that seems off the table.
