   From the very beginning, the service was excellent, beginning with the hostess and continuing through every single server that approached us. Even the manager helped us to move to a different table when I thought that my wheelchair would be blocking circulation. There was a great variety of foods to choose from; I would say something for everybody. The quality as well as the quantity was very satisfying. They offered a variety of environments within the larger restaurant experience from open and airy to private and intimate. Overall a great experience and I will continue to return to enjoy this again in the near future.

    Have always loved this restaurant. On my most recent visit, the service was exceptional as usual, but sadly the food was mediocre at best and scanty, which has never been the case at Hot House. I may not be returning.

    Booked for Mothers Day as it is /or was our favourite restaurant when in Toronto but was unaware it was buffet only. The buffet was not good. Many trays were empty even on second attempt. Dessert’s were stale and had been out for awhile and I found a hair in my food. Will probably not return to Hot House again.

    I have been coming to the Hot House for over 20 years. Unfortunately, while the price has gone up, the quality of food and service has gone down. It just was not worth the $50 per person charge with a two hour time limit.

    We always come here for Mother's day. The food was not as plentiful as previous years. The water for the tea was lukewarm and not labeled with the type of tea, so no one knew which was theirs. And the price was $$$$. $50 for buffet???? For that price the mimosa should have been complimentary.

    Decor was nice and contemporary. Food was tasty especially beet salad with tender chicken. Service was friendly. Kitchen was a bit slow . Perhaps understaffed. Waiter Arturo made sure our meal made it to us in time for us to go to a show at 8 pm. Thanks

    I have always liked The Hot House, but we had some issues this time. Our 6:00 reservation didn't have us seated until 6:20 or so. Server was good and we told her we had to be out by 7:30, which she said wouldn't be a problem. Drinks and food were ordered at the same time but food was very slow coming. As were second drinks. Had to pay while we were still eating so we could race out to get to our show. As I have mobility issues, this was stressful. Disappointed. I am going to say yes, I would recommend because this is the first bad experience.

    Service is keep getting worse After being the costumer for many years, I have to say the service recently is getting out of their control For example tonight, one item from our order was missing and I told them , they said it will come and never arrived . We order another drink for my mom, again the second drink never came. Before they were keep coming to table and asking if we need anything but now days barley you see anyone checking on you. At the end we had to wait 15 minutes just for our bill . If it keeps going like this, we will choose another place for our regular weekly meet up with friends and family

    We had booked in advance, didn't realize it was only brunch on Sunday's at the lunch time we had booked. Restaurant called to confirm and let me know - and the Bruch, while good, was spaced funny around the restaurant, people walking all over, no hot tray's being closed, and very little veggies/fruits for a brunch. Nice that there aren't a lot of options for food items (like a buffet) but would have, for the price, liked plates at each table, versus having to walk to the front to go back to the main courses, and a selection of berries, eggs, or even have coffee or juice included.

    I arrived quite a bit earlier than my son and they were happy to seat me and let me wait. My waiter was so very attentive but not the hovering kind. He would always check around to see if any one was signaling him so we were never left waiting just to get attention. The food, well what can I say other than it was excellent as usual. It really is my one of my favourite Toronto restaurants.

    We had a large group for dinner. The Open Table app did not allow for a reservation over 8 but after calling the restaurant they were very accommodating changing our group to 14. They called to ensure everything was still set for our time. They understood we were on a timeline with tickets for the show and ensured appetizers were on the table for us. Our waitress was excellent(I wish I knew her name). Very efficient and so friendly. The food was delicious with great portion sizes. Mediterranean platter was excellent for a group and the bruschetta was delicious. The meals were a hit anywhere from Lamb shank, gnocchi, stir fry, pizza and even mac and cheese. With such a variety we were in and out in just over an hour and at no time did we feel rushed. Great experience. Would definitely recommend to anyone and especially for large groups!!

    Drove from Oshawa for anniversary dinner. Service was substandard and food was mediocre. Waitress did not ask if we are celebrating anything special. The bus boy served us our food and served us better so we tipped him as well. Been going here for 20 years and quality has gone down. Most likely the last time we will dine here

    We made a booking for dinner on Thursday, April 27th for 5.15pm and was about 10 minutes late (awful traffic) but the receptionist was very good and understanding. We have Season Maple Leaf Hockey Tickets so enjoy to come from Orangeville and have dinner at the Hot House Cafe before the games. Last night, you had changed the menu a little and we couldn't get Chicken Wings but had the Chicken Breast with Caesar Salad and really enjoyed this. Hope the Leafs don't lose tomorrow night's game so we can be back for the next one. Thank You, Carolyn and David Gillespie
