Hostess was not very helpful, did not show me to our table, just pointed to a direction that was unhelpful. The server we had luckily was nice. The buffet is lacking in quality and the price has gone up.

Hot House is nice for groups and meet ups. It can be very noisy on the weekends but at least they’ll probably have a live jazz band. Overall great experience and good food. Try it.

My wife and I both ordered Pizza Di Parma as our main course. The pizza was very tasteless, probably due to a complete lack of taste, or appearance, of tomato sauce. We had to check the menu to ensure it was an ingredient. Crust was good, could have used a touch more cheese and the ham was good. Overpriced for the product received.

A friend and I met for lunch. She had never been to Hot House Cafe before. We were about to order an entree until we asked about the soup for the day. We had the most delicious cream of brussel sprout soup. It was hot, creamy, flavourful and filling and fabulous. So filling we decided to share a sandwich instead of the entree.

My friend and I decided to make our lunch a regular thing at the Hot House Cafe. I've been to this restaurant many times for various lunches, three times for Thanksgiving dinner and numurous other meals. It is very much my "go-to" place for good food!

First time at Hot House and it won't be our last. So many delicious choices that we are looking forward to our return. I had the ribs and my wife had shrimp and a salad. Arturo was our server and he was brilliant. Only next time was the hostess who lacked a warm welcome.

Sunday Brunch, & Jazz... wonderful food options, from breads, an omelette station, ( breakfast
choices, including bacon, sausages), healthy salads, hot entrees, such as lasagne, roast beef, etc., - all 3 meals & desserts at one time !!!
Did not have anything more that day, other than water, coffee, tea !
Yummmmmm !

A few girlfriends went to the theatre and this was a nice walk from Ed Mirvish on a lovely summers day. The food is always good and the menu has great variety for all tastes. We all had Sangrias and they were delish! Two of had the rack of ribs and they were excellent. I have never been here for the regular menu before as I have always come for the brunch and I was very pleased. We all enjoyed our exprerience.

Our waiter, Arturo, was wonderful, managing to strike the exact balance of friendly, efficient and professional. He had a good understanding of the menu and was able to describe items perfectly. The food was very good but the restaurant is a bit noisy at times. We'll definitely be back.

Hello,

Wanted to take my parents somewhere nice as they came down to the city to visit. It took 20 min to get our drink order (to be fair there were 2 weddings going on, the restaurant should have planned) and then it took another 10 min to get the drinks.

We gave ourselves an hour and a half (as we had a concert to make) and didn't have our meal order taken after 45 min. We had the menus closed and just felt very unattended.

Note to the restaurant is give your servers smaller sections or support. The food was good but service definitely lacked.

Thanks,

Mack

I've been to the Sunday Brunch at Hothouse several times, and loved it. We thought we'd try the restaurant for dinner, and were sorely disappointed.

The server seemed new and didn't have knowledge of the prix fixe nor the kids menu. My husbands entrée didn't come with the rest of the entrees, and we had to wait for a good 15-20mins to flag down the waitress - then she apologized because she'd forgotten all about his entrée! The kids menu came with a drink, and again we had to remind her about the fact and ask her to bring it. Both my husband and I got the prix fixe, and it wasn't worth the price we paid for it - the food was just average.

While we will return for their famous Sunday brunches, we will pass on regular meals at this spot.

Too much confusion seating patrons.

I had reserved a table for 3. One of my guests showed up before me and my accompanying guest. She was seated inside. We went in provided the name on the reservation and asked to be seated outside. We were never told that one of our party had arrived and were told to speak with the person outside assigning seats. We wanted to sit on the west side of the restaurant and told we could only sit on the south "to balance out the tables for the servers". I had to text my guest who was already seated inside so she could join us. Very unorganized.

The food and service were good despite this mayhem on our arrival.

Brownie dessert is to die for!

Always good, visit frequently.

Note: Your OpenTable invite should have an Accept/Decline option. I send out an invite but I have no idea if the invitee received it nor if they are coming. I have to follow up with a phone call or email. Very inefficient!

Honestly, my worst experience at Hot House yet. They forgot my reservation, food arrived 40 minutes late and it tasted awful.

The server did say he was sorry and he had followed up with the Kitchen twice, but that doesn't help with the fact when the food arrived, it was horrible. We were there for the summerlicious menu, but it was awful.

I don't know if I would go back.

We ordered from the breakfast menu, most of which was OK, but the peameal bacon was tough because it was sliced too thin. Given the small amount of bacon, the breakfast was not good value for the money.

My medium rare came overdone (no pink at all) but when I said something to the server they were quick to replace the steak with a properly cooked one. The service overall was subpar. It took almost an hour for the main to arrive and most of the time my water was not filled. We came for summerlicious so the value was good and the food was well cooked (after the second steak)

We went for the Wednesday night buffet there, it was really crowed that night; (it would be better if you make a reservation ahead of time). The food at the buffet was decent, the highlight was the desserts! They had lots of varieties of cakes and choices. I would love to go back there or go to their Sunday brunch buffet.

First time at their Wed. Eve. Buffet... amazing spread, with Many choices/ combos, hot & cold
healthy options, fresh desserts, etc.- something for everyone !!
Our booked reservation was delayed, as a bus load of people arrived,
just before us , so our seating took awhile, & we had less time to try' all the goodies'!
Will be back...as our time there , was limited, with a show to see...
Looking forward ,to indulging more, next time!

Food was decent. I had the breakfast which I thought would've been the buffet, but I had my days wrong :(. My boyfriend had a burger which he wasn't too crazy about. The meals too a long time to get to the table, and the waitress wasn't too friendly.
