Steak and rest of food was if very high quality, which is what you come to expect for a place like Hy’s. Only real complaint was we felt this place seems to “nickel and dime” way too much for such a high end restaurant. There is no way they would do this in the Vancouver location. For example, we asked to split our kid’s pop into 2 glasses (I.e. since we only give them a little otherwise too much sugar) but instead we got charged $4.50 for a pop plus $1 refill charge. That’s totally unnecessary given we are not trying to take advantage and we actually ordered one of the most expensive steaks on the menu for our dinner. On top of that, the server mentions to us that he saw the note about us celebrating a birthday on my reservation, so he asks us who’s birthday and if we want to see the dessert menu. Again, we got charged the full, overinflated dessert price even though our understanding was that they would provide a small complimentary dessert for the birthday girl (our daughter!) Little things go a long ways especially at high end restaurants but definitely not here…perhaps it’s more of a reflection of dining in Whistler in general vs Vancouver!

The mojito tasted very refreshing . The ambiance was everything I hoped it would be based on recommendations by family.

This was our first time with Hy's and our first time without kids in almost 7 years so we figured we deserved a night out. We were greeted with a kind demeanor at the door and seated at our table. The food was as expected, incredible and has nothing but 5 stars. I worked for over 26 years in back of the house from everything from pubs to fine dining and this was impeccable. The highlight of the night was the service, Marvin was our server and to say that he is fantastic is is an understatement. Knowledgeable, charismatic, warm, welcoming, accommodating and an overwhelming love for what he does just shines though on his 10/10 service. I have never in my life felt so included and comfortable in my dining experience, Marvin is the reason my wife Eva and I will most certainly be returning to Hy's in Whistler, thank you for caring for us and making us feel like you've known us for years it made our weekend.

Nothing special, not worth it for the price point. I could've gotten 2 dinners elsewhere for the price of a bland, lukewarm beef filet and dried out baked potato. It doesn't even come with a side of vegetables or at least a piece of bread with butter. Don't bother. Now I know why it was 1/4 full when everywhere else was booked solid.

First time going to the Hy's Steakhouse and we are hooked!!! Everything wonderful, very accommodating with changes due to dietbeties. My sister loved the extensive whiskey list. I shared the seafood platter with my nephew....amazing!! Yes dinner was pricey but it's Whistler and this steakhouse is worth it!

Service was great! Our sever was very friendly and attentive. The food was just ok. I had the halibut special and was disappointed. Nothing special bland and not much flavors. The beef carpaccio was also bland. Cocktails were delicious.

This is the second time we've had a special occasion family dinner here. We've enjoyed an adults only dinner and one with our younger children. Both times we had fantastic meals and fabulous times. The wine menu is great and you can't go wrong with the food menu, either.
