   The last few visits had been average and we were very disappointed with the Hy's famous Cheese Toast in both serving size & taste..as were other friends/colleagues)! Last night's experience was terrific! Your Team hit a homerun in every way! And in particular ...the Cheese Toast was back to its size & taste of old!

   Great low key atmosphere, service was excellent & food quality likewise...coffee could have been bolder/fresher. Everything was prepared to order & came out hot! This is one of my go to spots & I will definitely return; I always recommend to my friends and family!

   Nothing at Hy's disappoints. Their appetizers are delicious. We always have steak and it was cooked to perfection according to our requests. I highly recommend the Beef Wellington! The portions never lead you wanting. We ordered their delicious bananas foster for desert and it was cooked at our table. The server was friendly, kind, knowlegableable, professional and had a great sense of humour. Hy's is one of my favourite restaurants in Winnipeg!

   Our server Vincent was a delight. Very good at explaining all the types of food and ingredients. The food was delicious except the escargot needed more flavour. But overall experience for our first time was excellent.

    Party of four. We all had Cesar salads to start which are made table side. Unreal taste. Our favourite Cesar of all time ! Only thing is the portion size could have been a little larger. Had the Steak Ala Hy’s which was cooked to perfection. One thing about Hy’s over other steak places I’ve been to is you never have to add salt or is never to salty and all the guests agreed with this statement. Service was excellent as always.     Great dining experience. We often do dinners out and decided we wanted a higher end experience. We were there for a couple of hours and the service was perfect. We didn’t feel rushed at all. The dining room was quiet which made conversation easy. Food was tasty and the wine was fine. We will be returning.

    Everything was as expected and delicious!!! Haven’t been in a little while so was extremely disappointed to see that the Caesar salad which was always a great portion and shareable was so small! Also the filet is only available in 6 oz or 12 oz. Everything tasted delicious and was done perfectly!

    Everyone we interacted with were very welcoming and friendly. Our table serve was especially nice and made us feel very welcome. Although I enjoyed the food, I was a little let down by the steak. I ordered the filet and found it to be a little stringy with some gristle. Usually, a filet is tender throughout but that was not the case. I have had filet in the past and it was very good, so I am hoping this is not an indication of a problem with quality control. I also noticed the furnishings are starting to look a little tired and need a refresh. I think it may be time to do a makeover. If this happens, I hope the atmosphere remains the same because it is very pleasant and relaxing.

    Another wonderful meal with friends celebrating two anniversaries. The Food was excellent, and the service was outstanding. All the staff were very helpful and attentive, which made for a wonderful evening. I can't wait to come back. If I could say anything about Hy's, it would be first class.     Laurence provided some of the best service I've ever had. Attentive, professional but also comfortable and friendly. The tableside Caesar salad is a MUST. Definitely reccomend Hy's Winnipeg!

    Very expensive for what you get, with sides being sold separately. Prices for sides and drinks and wine were high. In Hy’s defence, this is similar to the pricing practice in other steakhouses. Service was professional and attentive. Decor is very corporate. This restaurant could have been anywhere in North America. Nothing distinctively Winnipeg about it. I guess some people like it that way.
