This restaurant is the best place to go in Barrie, we have been going for a few years and now and the food and service is excellent. Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Definitely recommend this place to everyone.

Always a fantastic evening at Il Buco. From arrival to leaving they make you feel so welcome. Russell our waiter is always First class.at making us feel welcome, Takes cares of everything to make sure we can just relax, have fun and enjoy a nice glass of wine with the most delicious food. The service was exceptional and the food delicious. Would recommend the three course for lunch. Enjoyed the Caesar salad, lasagne, chicken parm and tiramisu. Everything was excellent.

It had been 6.5 years since I had been to Il Buco and it was so nice to be welcomed back to the same place, the same wine and the same great food. All staff were fantastic, including specifically our server. It was so nice and refreshing to be back and be to be greeted by everyone on our way out. Our mains were: - The spinach and ricotta ravioli with sun-dried tomato and chicken in a rose sauce topped with burrata - 4 Cheese Mushroom Risotto It was amazing! Thank you again!! And I look forward to returning (much sooner).

Enricos garlic was good but not as enjoyable as ususal. The normally crunchy bread was soggy and there was a skin on the cream sauce, I imagine from sitting in the kitchen before delivery to our table. Our server was efficient and friendly. The mushroom tagliatelli was wonderful despite being under seasoned. There was no salt on the tables. We will be back again.

All was good prices went up quantity went down but we still enjoyed. Maybe a 2nd piece of bread or a 2nd pop with no extra charge would be nice which would help with increase in meals and apos

This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have had since pre Covid! From the minute we arrived to paying the bill. Everything was perfect. The place was packed in a Thursday night. That did not interfere with the exceptional experience or the timely and tasty manner in which the food was prepared and served. It has been a very long time since I have had this experience in a restaurant. Make sure you order the roasted garlic dish and the mushroom pasta was divine. Thank you to the owners for reminding me what restaurant experience is suppose to be. Delicious food, happy staff and great ambience. It actually made tipping enjoyable! Bravo!

We came in at Noon so there were not too many guests. This was the second year we celebrated three birthdays at once & we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful & the service superb. The restaurant itself is well appointed with the tables spaced perfectly & very tastefully decorated. We were all happy with everything & that is not easy with four females. I could not have prepared a meal for four with the amount of our bill. Very reasonable. I loved every minute! The view of the lake is really good .

The food wasn’t very good if I’m being honest. We had high hopes after reading the reviews. The garlic bread was drowning in what seemed like 1/2 cup of cream sauce that wasn’t good. Left a terrible aftertaste. My pene pasta tasted like I could’ve made better at home from a jar. For saying it’s over $100 for two people to dine, I’d expect better quality and taste. Definitely not as authentic as they claim. Will not be going back.
