I’ve been eating at Il Mulino since they opened downtown and am thrilled that they are uptown as well! The ambiance is great and maitre d’ impeccable when you arrive… Of course we all love the goodies when you’re seated with a chunk of fresh Parmesan, sautéed zucchini, genoa salami and bruschetta… The daily specials are enticing but you never ho wrong with the pastas, appetizers and poultry & meat dishes as they are all superb … Leaves room for dessert - from tiramisu, tartufo, and my favorite zabaglione! Mangia!

Outstanding service, friendly, welcoming staff. Food is top notch and served beautifully. They do not rush you at all and serve a leisurely meal. They have a very large selection on their menu as well as daily specials.

First time dining in their new york location, previously visited the restaurant in las vegas and let me tell you their location was much better, regarding food & dining experience. Would not recommend this place at all. For this price you can get a much better experience somewhere else. Really disappointed.

The staff is outstanding very attentive, courteous. The food is always consistent and simply delicious. I live on Long Island and I come to this location at 60th St. in Madison because I’ve always felt welcomed my wife and I have other choices but we like this place.

Dinner was nothing short of amazing! We frequent this place Fridays during lunch, or at least every other Friday for the best in Italian cuisine on the mid to upper east side. My platter will speak for itself. Langosteens were the juiciest and their bolognese is unmatched. The service is impeccable and I am always immeasurably grateful.

The food was tasteless. Sent back two entrees and soup Dined there a year ago with the same issue. I returned yesterday, a year later thinking surely it must have been one off last year but I was wrong. Another example of en established restaurant existing in on no more than memories of excellence. There are many better Italian restaurants. Go elsewhere. Little value for the dollar here.

We have been coming to this restaurant for 10-12 years…several times a year. We love this restaurant, but something has happened be it smells like a sewer line has broken. VERY difficult to enjoy a fancy and expensive meal when the smell is so horrible. Might need to rethink coming back if they can’t get the smell resolved.

Valentines Day meal. Too crowded and loud. Waiters did not speak loud enough or clearly to get over the ambient noise. Chicken picatta did not impress at all. Chicken was too thick and the sauce lacked flavor. They sent me downstairs to use the restroom but then they told a girl at the next table she could use the restroom upstairs. Overpriced too. I would not go back. Seems to me they are trying to get by on their reputation but it didn’t meet my expectations.

I went to have a lunch during the winter restaurant week. The service was okay, but we were rushed to eat and leave for the next customers because it was pretty crowded. We were often asked if we were finished in order to take the plates out from the table, which made us feel rushed. Otherwise it was okay.

I Went to the restaurant week lunch. Service was excellent. Ambiance was good ,as always, but the food was average for this restaurant . Value was good . I ordered the veal Marsala and it was tough and tasteless. I expected so much more . Of course I would go again but not for restaurant week. Hopefully it will be better .

A rip off is an understatement. The pasta was from a box and still was undercooked yet the clams were over cooked. Disappointing is what it is. I’m sorry.
