   Our service was absolutely outstanding. The food was generally great, as always, and your expanded outdoor area is gorgeous. Our biggest complaint--and it's a big one--is the music was way too loud and also an irritating choice of pop rock. We asked to have it turned down, and it was only slightly. Also, it would be great if you had some truly vegan options. I've been dining with you for at least a decade, and I always get an adapted version of a dish that contains animal products, so it's not as great as it could be. For example, this time, I had the cauliflower without the yogurt sauce, which was boring. Why not have a vegan sauce as an alternative? Also, it would be great to have a vegan salad dressing that isn't just balsamic vinegar and olive oil to substitute on salads. And a vegan pasta! Frankly, there is so much excellent vegan pizza in Philly that if you only offer one without vegan cheese, many would rather get a pasta.

   First time back in many years, but the results are the same excellent! My friend and I ate outside turn early evening dinner. Our pasta dishes were delicious. And the view of the river may experience even nicer. Well worth the visit.

   The food was good and the service was bad. I expected the server offer me another drink and she never did, I had half of the pizza left over and I asked for to go, but I never asked for the check so she took it to me without asking if we wanted dessert . that my children expected it.

    This is a place I've been to many times before and I'm so very glad it's back after being flooded. It's a fun place and I'm sure to go back. Yesterday, though, was not its best performance. It was Mother's Day, and it was gorgeous out, so maybe the crowd made really good service impossible -- and we didn't get really good service. When the two people making our foursome joined us they had a very long wait before they could place their drink order. Our server showed up randomly, but got our orders right. The Agnelotti was way too salty, the arugula salad was crisp and bright and a great portion to share.

    Beautiful Spring night and perfect weather to enjoy dinner on the outdoor terrace at In Riva overlooking the Schuykill River...watching the crew teams practice. In Riva has a great, reasonable wine list and food is consistently fantastic!

    The pizza was mostly under-baked dough, not very appetizing from a restaurant that just a few years ago had first-rate brick baked pizza pies, among the best in the city. The salad was tired and uninspiring, this from a regular customer who, alas, and with regret, will not return. I guess due to COVID and the flood that closed your operation for a year, something changed in the operation, and not for the better.

    The meatballs and garlic shrimp appetizers were excellent. The cocktails we had were also very good. The mushroom pizza was good but had more of a saltier taste than I preferred. We were inside so it was very dark and extremely noisy. I would go again for the appetizer.

    The food was delicious, as always! We cleared our plates! Love the potatoes, so simple but so flavorful! The octopus was great too, but we much prefer the old preparation with the cherry mostarda ;). We also enjoyed the Gnocchi with Mommy's Meatballs as a side and had the quattro formaggi pizza with pepperoni added ... Aiden was amazing, so gracious and accommodating with us (we were high maintenance this evening). The hostess and mgr. were so helpful in moving our table when we got cold outside. We can't wait to return!! Thanks for making it a special night!

    The server took our drink order, but only from one person and when I began to order the other two of us, he walked away. He knew the first order was only for 1 person because he only brought one glass back. Anyway, we carried on and ordered our drinks and the food. The food was just ok. The branzino was very dry, the meatballs seemed burnt or just dry, hard to tell. The hummus and the shrimp were both delicious. We won’t go back, but it wasn’t a complete bust because we did like half of our food.

    Legitimately LOVE this place. The pizza, drinks and setting are amazing. Staff is always super friendly and the pea soup is the best thing ever. My only complaint is that sometimes the music is really loud and emo/rock which doesn’t fit the mood of the place. Seems like if they switched up for a chiller music vibe it would be better for dining.

    The pizza was excellent as was the service. We were in the upstairs room that, because of the nature of the floor, walls and ceiling, was very noisy. However, The table next to us had 4 or 5 rambunctious small kids that also contributed mightily to the din.

    This was our 1st visit, and the entrees were different than the standard Italian fare. The dishes were definitely next level and we thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Lovely atmosphere albeit a bit noisy but considering the number of people at the restaurant, understandable. Pay attention to the fact the entrees were alacarte so be sure to add a few sides or an appetizer or two. Excellent service.

    The service was great as always. We had the broccolini, cooked to perfection; the shockingly green yet all-natural and delicious pea soup; the arugula and mushroom salad, fresh and wonderful; the pasta with crab, superb, and the chicken parmesan cutlet, a hit with everyone, followed by pistachio gelato - a delight; a duo of mango and raspberry sorbetto; and the trio of mini-cannolis, each with a different filling.     We decided to return to In Riva despite having had inconsistent experiences. Usually the food is great, albeit a tad overpriced for the portions, and the service is mixed. This evening it was the exact opposite. Our waitress was great, but the pasta dishes excessively salty. I ate the gnocchi and left the ultra zesty/salty sauce on the plate. My friend took two bites of the gemelli with lamb and couldn’t go any further due to the amount of salt. Why can’t kitchen staff use a minimal amount of salt, add the appropriate herbal seasonings (this was done) and allow the customer to add more salt at the table, if needed? It happens at a lot of restaurants, not just In Riva. In the future we will simply order salads and pizza.
