We’ve dined at Barley Sheaf at least 7-8 times and it is consistently excellent food, fantastic service and wonderful Bucks County vibe. Portions are small but it’s worth the price.

Another stellar evening at Barley Sheaf. Our dinner was divine. The new head chef and his team are first rate. The food was sublime and yummy. The staff, from the owner Mark to all who support the operations, are always so welcoming and kind. Our server Judy, the best in town, or anywhere for that matter hands down, made the evening celebrating my husbands birthday magical. Five stars and then some!

Menu was confusing. I couldn't believe the room opens up directly to the kitchen. Soooooo expensive for such small portions. The hostess seemed to be trying to get me to pay more beyond the 18% service charge (tip) already on the bill. The server Judy was nice.

It's a beautiful Location and the Set-up idea (open Kitchen, view to the garden with windows) is good, however there was NO view. An old leftover summer tent was in front of the windows with scattered old tables around, dirty looking. The space looked unkempt. The Food was good, however not hot. my first course was a cold dish, but my husbands a hot one, which was Luke warm. Second dishes were both good and hot, last dish, eggs benedict and the pork loin were luke warm and eggs overcooked, not creamy. It was nice but disappointing. Man came around and inquired about the food without introducing himself, we thought he was a radom guy asking us how our food was, not classy. Overall feel of the dining room was a bit neglected. Servers were very nice and attentive. For $100 a brunch, I would expect better

Vera - thanks for your comments but sorry you did not have a good experience. We pride ourselves on doing far better. In terms of the outside, we had an event there and the tent was up (which we cannot change) and tables were not put away which was unacceptable. In terms of a man - that was me - I did ask about the food as I thought you had seen me working with the servers earlier. When I realized that you did not know that I worked there, I told you that I was the owner and to check in with you and say hello because we had a mutual acquantaince. I am sorry that you felt surprised and put off by that. I also know that the servers checked in with you several times about the food and if there was an issue, we would have corrected it immediately. Would love to have you give us another try.

This was the first time back with the new chef. The food was outstanding and he would make Josh proud. It was a wonderful dining experience Started with crab salad, then to the pork bolognese, and then the Venison Loin. I cannot say how delicious all three were. We finished off with the Flourless chocolate cake for two. Barley Sheaf never lets me down on quality and the fabulous flavor of their food.

We had a delicious dinner. It is a great place for a special occasion. My husband had the lobster tail and I had the pork ragu for 2nd course. Both were excellent but the pork ragu was amazing. We also had the wagyu beef and pork chop for the 3rd course. The food is just so good it is really a treat to eat here.

This was our 5th visit to Barley Sheaf Inn since 2020. All prior visits were consistently superb, from service to quality, and this visit did not disappoint… quality ingredients and NO seed oils! Additionally, restaurant staff and management welcome feedback and are very responsive to customer concerns.

Good food 🍗 is to be found at this nice staple nearby to beautiful downtown New Hope. Many specialties fresh from the farm. What's good about this spot is that they are open just a little bit later than some places for a good dinner. B.Y.O.B .

Great service. Very pricey with not much ambience. The beautiful glass door/windows that overlook the grounds are covered by an outdoor tent area. Parking area was a little dark.

This could be one of the best meals we've had in 25 years. We heard there was a new chef taking over the reins and have dined there before, which was always excellent, but were intrigued where the menu direction was going. Every course we had exemplified a passion and understanding of not only textures but an approach we've never seen before, pairing exotic spices that took these dishes to levels never experienced. We started with the chilled lobster tail. The celery granite was an amazing compliment to the lobster as well as the silky smooth horseradish cream. Next we had the Foie Gras with panacotta. What?! Who does this?! Every bite had us guessing what flavors we were experiencing. Probably the best Foie Gras I've ever had. Next was the octopus. Amazing and tender. Peppercorns, sherry. A great combination. We splurged on three entrees. The duck, venison and monk fish. The duck was cooked perfectly and sliced thin. The pickled mushrooms were excellent. The venison mid rare with the smoked chestnut puree was stunning. Finally the monk fish that had the creamiest pearl cous cous we've ever had. We ended the evening with a warm parsnip cake and cider sorbet. Both great. The service was friendly and we definitely felt taken care of. What a great experience. Hats off to the staff. It was a very memorable experience.

Meal & service were good; ambiance & decor were lacking. Main dining room decor is sparse producing an ambiance that is bleak. Waiting parlor was cluttered with junk & had a cheap makeshift coat rack in a corner. The kitchen which is open to the dining room was loud & distracting. For the quality & price of meals, the decor & ambiance should be much better. Having said all that, I would dine there again, only because of the quality of their food. The best value is the Sunday brunch prix fixe menu.

Loved the experience!! We received personal attention throughout the meal, from the greeter who made sure we had appropriate wine glasses for our wine, to the owner who opened our wine and made conversation, to our server who was informative, personable and efficient. The food was divine!! This was definitely a special occasion venue, and one we will return to even when we’re not celebrating a special occasion.

Elegant though limited menu, attentive service, fresh ingredients but almost identical condiments for each course (sauces, nuts, crumbles, etc). Deserts can be skipped as underwhelming.

Good food 🍗 and drinks🍸 are to be found at this nice staple of beautiful downtown Holicong, near New Hope. Though the best part is that they're open for dinner here a little bit later during the week, making this a convenient stop for a fine evening meal .

We had the pris fixe brunch. They offered a complimentary mimosa when we arrived. There were 3 courses plus dessert. Most of the food was good to very good, 3 items were spectacular. The mashed potatoes, the sausage gravy with biscuit and the flourless chocolate cake were just spectacular. The potatoes and the sausage gravy were light, nicely flavored but very clean, rather than heavy tasting. The chocolate cake was one of the richest I've ever tasted, it was not my order and my one taste was enough for me, but my partner scarfed it all. Pleasant ambiance. Waitstaff worked as a team. We would have preferred stronger coffee.

A wonderful experience being there. We were treated like we were important to the staff and the owner. One of our servers was Mark an owner of the inn and was very friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was acknowledged right on the menu. Highly recommended the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm.

It is always a treat to come to this restaurant. The owner Mark and his wife go above and beyond to make sure that everyone has an amazing experience. To watch the chef prepare the meals is awesome. He really takes pride in his work and it is truly an art. The food is always excellent.

Truly stellar warm and personalized service. Excellent and inventive food. Beautiful dining space and views. Sometimes hard to get a table but absolutely worth it. They space out seating to ensure kitchen is not overwhelmed and guests get courses in appropriate timing.

Lovely bucolic setting just off a busy road! The service was outstanding. Very small dining room overlooking the pretty back gardens, wild turkeys strolling around. Food was good - not great. The corn veloute was delicious. Scallops, wagyu pasta and ribeye were all good but a bit bland for us. Overall we had a very nice time and enjoyed seeing the goats and ponies as we left. Would return, this is a perfect spot for a special occasion
