We had the pris fixe brunch. They offered a complimentary mimosa when we arrived. There were 3 courses plus dessert. Most of the food was good to very good, 3 items were spectacular. The mashed potatoes, the sausage gravy with biscuit and the flourless chocolate cake were just spectacular. The potatoes and the sausage gravy were light, nicely flavored but very clean, rather than heavy tasting. The chocolate cake was one of the richest I've ever tasted, it was not my order and my one taste was enough for me, but my partner scarfed it all. Pleasant ambiance. Waitstaff worked as a team. We would have preferred stronger coffee.

A wonderful experience being there. We were treated like we were important to the staff and the owner. One of our servers was Mark an owner of the inn and was very friendly and accommodating. We were celebrating our anniversary and it was acknowledged right on the menu. Highly recommended the Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm.

It is always a treat to come to this restaurant. The owner Mark and his wife go above and beyond to make sure that everyone has an amazing experience. To watch the chef prepare the meals is awesome. He really takes pride in his work and it is truly an art. The food is always excellent.

Truly stellar warm and personalized service. Excellent and inventive food. Beautiful dining space and views. Sometimes hard to get a table but absolutely worth it. They space out seating to ensure kitchen is not overwhelmed and guests get courses in appropriate timing.

Lovely bucolic setting just off a busy road! The service was outstanding. Very small dining room overlooking the pretty back gardens, wild turkeys strolling around. Food was good - not great. The corn veloute was delicious. Scallops, wagyu pasta and ribeye were all good but a bit bland for us. Overall we had a very nice time and enjoyed seeing the goats and ponies as we left. Would return, this is a perfect spot for a special occasion

The setting is beautiful with large windows providing a nice view of the back part of the property. Service was excellent. Well timed between our four course set price of $39 per person plus a required 18 % “service” charge. Total of $98 for two. Food was excellent. Some standards and some adventures. We went to celebrate a birthday and our menus noted that event. The only disappointment was the desserts. We have never had baklava or rice pudding as served. Overall, an excellent place to dine. We have already made reservations for the next birthday celebration!

I had always heard glowing reviews of Barley Sheaf Farm ---and our first visit did not disappoint! We had a wonderful brunch. The food was delicious and well proportioned, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere was charming (even though it was a rainy day). I would highly recommend this special place.

We went to this restaurant because it is located in the former home of writer George S. Kaufman. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. Unfortunately, the food was only so-so. It is quite expensive, which is understandable given the location. However, for a fancy restaurant, it was a mess! Literally, the servers prep area was next to our table and littered with old coffee cups, papers, and all manner of junk. All the cabinets were open and the general feel was like I was in a messy person’s kitchen. We won’t go back, but I appreciate that the owners have saved this piece of history.

We enjoyed a romantic dinner at Barley Sheaf Farm. The food and atmosphere were both spectacular. We were near someone who talked incessantly and very loudly, otherwise noise level was fine 😂. Food was prepared with such expertise, love, and creativity. Prices were a bit steep however worth it for our experience.

Very nice setting. You get swept back in time to when Broadway and Hollywood entertainers came to Barley Sheaf to get away. The food was outstanding. The duck was tender, tasty, and plentiful. The Bronzino my wife had was superb. It’s not an “every day” restaurant ($ 270 for 3 with tip), but it’s great for special occasions.

Good food 🍖 is to be found at this nice staple of beautiful downtown New Hope. Grand atmosphere in a great country setting. Rooms may also be available here at this nice B.Y.O.B .

Entry/reception is a cluttered office area. The dining area is tired and in need of warmth and tlc. The photos online are colorful and lovely, but the reality is nothing like it. Servers chatted loudly with each other. Appetizers and one meal were good and beautifully presented, the stringy steak however was tough to cut, let alone chew. We gave up after the third replacement knife. We're baffled by all the wonderful reviews. It was a disappointment in almost every way.

Do yourself a favor !! Visit this lovely, beautiful , cosy restaurant ( we visited for Aniversary in 2014 ). The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. They printed “ Happy 29 th Aniversary” on the heading of our menu ! The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Absolutely the best meal we had while in New Hope. Highly recommend! 5 star experience.

Brunch here is a treat. We're never disappointed and were glad to be back after the COVID shutdown. They've added a complimentary mimosa for all guests, which was a pleasant surprise. The number of courses and the variety thereof is very generous.

Located on a beautiful gentlemen's farm. The restaurant overlooks the garden. Everyone greets you with a smile and thanks you for coming. Menu is never the same - imaginative with fresh produce, meats, and seafood. Have to add homemade ice-cream. Because everything is fresh the food has a boost of flavor. Chocolate mint chip ice cream - tasted like the chef picked mint out of the garden. Romantic dinner or dinner with friends a really great choice. Don't forget to bring a bottle of wine.
