Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of French Creek, this is where you will find The Inn at St. Peter’s Village. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Inn at St. Peter’s was created in 1881 by Dave Knauer.

The construction of “Excursion House” marked the beginning of Knauer’s realization of the village as a recreational weekend retreat. This truly majestic structure underwent a complete revitalization in 2005, bringing it back to its former glory. As you relax with a cool drink or dine on the delicious cuisine on one of our outdoor patios, you will be serenaded by the flowing waters and dazzled by the amazing view of the ancient rocks and lush green landscapes of the French Creek. The Inn at St. Peter’s offers 6 luxurious rooms and one suite. No two rooms are alike...each offers unique decorative touches tastefully recreated to match the bygone era of the original inn.

A very disappointing return experience! After Friday's dinner which we enjoyed, we came back... only to be disappointed that the menu item my wife loved ran out. Then she ordered a salad, that was way salty ( who adds salt to a salad? Thought dressing does it ?) which she barely ate, had to be returned and redone. My order of fries did not arrive until after my meal was finished? Looks like a poorly managed, inconsistent quality food operation. Ruined our date / evening. Would likely not return.

Ate on the back deck with a view of the stream running among the large stone boulders, nice sight to see.. We were there on Sunday late afternoon and they had run out of one of the appetizer and entrée we ordered, I believe brunch is big here so that maybe why, because there menu is not complicated. St Peter's Village is a forgotten jewel. It has the potential of a scaled down New Hope , I love the area and it is worth the visit.

Great service and the food and drinks my wife and I ordered were very good. I would definitely recommend dimming the lighting in the main dining area to improve the ambiance, and it would be nice if they had a more expansive menu as we felt the options were limited. Also, it was September yet the menu was titled "early summer menu". Again, food and service was excellent.

This place has a lot of charm and great ambiance. We ate inside on a beautiful Sunday late morning. We were the only people in the restaurant so it was nice and quiet. Their brunch menu has a little bit of everything and something for everyone. Looking forward to going there again.

My wife and mother and I were seated outside next to the falls and the scenery and food were excellent. We enjoyed most everything. Some creative pasta dishes. Very good pizza.

The Inn has had many faces over the years and this one is great. The menu was original, creative and had something for everyone. Our table shared an antipasto that was fresh, local and the best I've ever had.We all enjoyed our meals and the wait staff was very sweet. We sat comfortably outside and were able to enjoy the sounds of the French Creek behind us. Great spot

I took the family here for dinner. We were seated at an outside table overlooking the creek. The weather was perfect. Our server, Jess, was wonderful. I had the duck breast for dinner which was delightful. The caesars salad was fresh and plentiful.

Wow! A MUST GO / WORTH THE DRIVE kind of place. This restaurant/Inn is amazing! Gorgeous views of the bustling river with large tree canopies. If you like historical stops, this is a hidden gem. It is perfect for any occasion. I want to come back and stay a weekend!!! The ambience of this whole village makes it perfect for a weekend getaway if you like, food, ice cream arts and antiquing! Not to mention hiking and biking too!

Outdoor patio was dirty. Appetizer came out after entree. Entree (dick and potato hash) was swimming in so much grease as to be inedible. Potatoes were burnt.

Mother's day was absolutely superb as this place did an outstanding job! The food was excellent! Lamb loin chops outstanding dish! One slight ,oops, we were not offered bread,I mentioned it to the waitress and she did give us some to go,bread was delicious! We had reservations for outdoor dining but opted to be seated inside due to afternoon pending shower and we had the most cozy, quaint table! The hostess was cberry and friendly, excellent staff ! Server was excellent except for the bread issue, very minor detail for us! We look forward to returning! ! Thanks for bringing The Inn at St.Peters back!! We did meet the Chef and the owner ,great job!!

I had a very good breakfast here before when able to order off the menu. For Mother's Day brunch, only a buffet is available. This was not clear upon making reservations. I would've liked to have been able to order off the menu.

We went for a Mother's Day celebration . The weather was cold and rainy, which couldn't be helped. It was nice that the back deck had a roof so that we could at least go out to view the water. We had a large party so I expected it to take time, but we waited almost two hours to get our meals. We did have appetizers which came in a reasonable amount of time, and would have caused a delay in our entrees, but not two hours! Once our food arrived, my mother's and sister's lobster was very under cooked. My niece and another sister ordered a shrimp linguini, expecting the traditional white sauce, but it had marinara and the shrimp were cooked too long. They were tiny, dry and chewy. The beat salad looked delicious, but had a funny, sour taste. We really enjoyed being together and our wait staff was very good, but the food was a huge disappointment for costing around $550 for the meal.

We sat out on the deck and enjoyed Sunday brunch. The only down side: on the deck below us they were running an exercise class so we could hear the instructor shooting (words of encouragement) the whole time.

The freshly made pasta entrees are excellent. We tried the gnocchi and pappardelle dishes and they were very very good. Our only complaint was that we never received any bread and oil/ butter etc. beforehand and were too busy talking to remember to ask about it! The service and was very good.

Amazing four course menu for Valentine's Day, great ambiance, very quiet and romantic, totally worth the drive. It was $49/person, the portions were huge and very decadent, everything was done to perfection. The bartender made the drinks a little on the sweeter side - good or bad depending on how you like your drinks I suppose. The service was meh, she was a little slow for having only four tables, but she was nice enough. We will definitely be back to try the regular menu as well as the brunch menu with porch seating when the weather grows warmer.

We went for New Year's Eve and there was a price fixe menu so we didn't really experience the regular menu but the food was delicious. It was four courses and each one was better than the last. Our waiter was exceptional... friendly and informative without being overbearing. Overall it was a most pleasant experience.

This restaurant is nothing like I have ever seen before. Even though it is cold the view is beautiful! They have live music almost every Sunday downstairs in the beatiful banquet room! And in the summer it is outside! this is a wonderful place to have dinner with your friends or family or to just go and relax and have a beer. They have there dining room all decorated for Christmas the tree is beatiful and the wreaths look great. I will recommend this amazing restaurant to my friends and family

Found this great little spot near French Creek State Park! They apparently update the dinner menu weekly to keep the options interesting. I had the homemade gnocchi and it was amazing. Colin, our server was very attentive and made our experience more than great! We loved the Christmas decorations! We can't wait to come back!

Our outing was not up to par. Our server Colin,did a wonderful job! We came early, but no one else was in the dining room until 7 pm. We went because of the Christmas ambiance, there was none, the tree looked unfinished. The temperature in the room was cold, sitting near the fireplace helped. There were no additions to the menu, four entres, four pasta dishes and four appetizers. We are crossing this restaurant off of list.

The restaurant was empty at 7:30 on a Saturday night. The house wine was undrinkable. My salad was delicious but our entrees were fair at best. Even though the staff was very nice the food wasn't worth the price or the drive so we won't be back.

We have been to St. Peter's many times and have loved it. This last time, it was freezing, they didn't have a fire going, no candle on the table, and they wouldn't turn up the heat. The food was LESS THAN MEDIOCRE AND VERY EXPENSIVE. So disappointed. The manager there was very unfriendly and very unaccommodating, but our waitress was super nice and apologetic.

The scenery was absolutely gorgeous! It was a warm fall day, the leaves were beginning to change. We were able to sit outside on the back deck overlooking the rocks and water.

Enjoyed our stay at the Inn's Bed and Breakfast. Very nice breakfast at the Bakery. Celebrated our 48th Anniversary by having dinner at the Inn. Food was very good and service was excellent.

I had never been to French Creek and the combination of the Inn and the hiking around the creek made for a perfect outing! We had brunch out on the back deck with a view of the forest, boulders and creek. The food was excellent and our waitress was great. The seasonal soup was very tasty and lobster & corn omelet was amazing. French toast also excellent. It was a lot of food, so we had left overs for the next day, which was great. They even kept our to go box in the refrigerator until we came back from our hike. Would definitely come back.
