We thought we would be in the main restaurant or outside of it but lunch today was being served at the side of the inn which was a bit disappointing. The wait staff were all friendly and helpful. The burger had a nice bun and the frites were good. The burger itself had no seasoning at all and was basically a big hunk of tasteless beef.
A bit disappointed in the dried out pork schnitzel ie . no flavour and seemed reheated . Battered pickerel was just ok . Caprese salad had bland tomatoes .
Food was great, tables seating well spread apart for covid space rules. Beautiful view to garden and valley! Price was expensive but it was top dining experience!
Celebrated my birthday and had a nice experience. I was looking forward to the Snapper entree and it was a beautiful presentation but was disappointed in the small portion. It would have been nice to have had a serving of rice underneath the fish instead of 4 croutons which would have made the dinner more filling.
The restaurant has a beautiful view but I couldn't see it very well sitting by the wall I did ask for a sitting infant of one of the windows as I had a dinner for 5 but instead tables of 2 got preference in front of this beautiful scenery.
The temperature within the restaurant was slightly warm, not sure if the air conditioning was on but it can make your experience better if the temperature doesn't make you sweat.
Overall my guests were happy with there steak tenderloin meals, their portions were amazing and they were very satisfied.
Consistently excellent food! Great service. A quiet spot, no loud music playing.
Dining at the Inn was just as I remembered - pre-pandemic era. Service / Food / Ambience - made it first-rate! Perfect place to bring my Best Friend to celebrate her birthday. Thank you. Gretchen Greene O'Brien
Was referred here by a friend/family. I ordered the salmon nicoise and it was just ok, a little bland. My bf had the burger which was delicious. Dessert, over priced. My creme brulee was all right, nothing special but would have been better had it been maybe $8 not $12. His cheesecake was tiny and though tasty, not worth $12, No appetizers, one glass of wine (no sweet reisling choices) one tea, 2 desserts with tax and tip was $100. We opted for dining outside. Patio is across the street from the restaurant! Therefore, your food is coming from across the street and if you want to make a quick run to the bathroom, guess what? Yup, you have to go across the street.
I like my steak as a whole piece ,not cut, as it lost all the juices inside. It was not rare anymore.
Also , Bearnaise, OR a garlic aioli ,not two butter based sauces, should be served together.
Bearnaise sauce could be served on the side.
Excellent food and service. Beautiful ambience.
Great venue and food
Needed a little more training for a server only 5 days on the job but very pleasant and helpful
Spent a lovely evening dining. The ambiance, view & dinner was spectacular.
I wasn’t informed ahead of time that the garden patio was closed. That was the only disappointment because I wanted to eat outdoors due to COVID . It had rained earlier but stopped raining.
Lovely location. Delicious food. Will return to this restaurant
The duck and lamb loin that we ordered were perfectly cooked, tender, not over-salted, well presented, perfect eating temperature. My wife is a fantastic cook, able to create subtle flavours from many cultures and I am a fussy eater. We were both completely satisfied. We had not been to OTT for about 15 years because our last experience was not nearly as good as this one.
The music playing in the background was perfect. We listened to CSNY, Wings, James Taylor, America, Neil Diamond; all of whom we have heard live in concert. We could share many pleasant memories in addition to the food.
I think you could improve on the "crunch" of the gravel, although that is the style of many fine German restaurants where I have dined. I do not mind sitting on gravel. The problem is the noise underfoot of the staff moving back and forth clashing with the soft music and calming burble of the fountain.
Food and ambiance nothing special considering the price!
Staff is very friendly and welcoming, food was excellent. Inside the restaurant has a beautiful look, and wonderful view outside the large window. Will definitely be coming again.
The food, service and ambiance were all excellent.
Excellent service, food was appropriate to the menu. We all enjoyed our meal. As we chose a place between Niagara and Oakville it was ideal.
Great food. Service was very good. The patio was wonderful especially since the weather was great.
It was a special occasion and we had requested to eat inside with a view. Covid restrictions allowed at this time to eat indoors. The day of our lunch, they called to say as it was a nice day, we would be eating on the patio across the street. They were not hosting inside the restaurant. Was this OK. As we did not know of other restaurants in the area we agreed, knowing this was not the ambience we were hoping for yet they did give us a quiet spot and with the greenery around the patio, it was nice. The lunch was lovely yet there could have been more choice on the menu.
I have been going since the Restaurant opened. It has changed over the years, always learning from the past. The service is second to none. The staff really make you feel special
First rate in all respects.
This is our family’s weekend getaway and we wanted to try a different restaurant. Inn on the Twenty did not disappoint! Foie gras / beef tenderloin / scallops / snapper / creme brûlée all ON POINT!
So good that we booked to go back on our last night in Niagara!
Food was superb. We had lunch. Our table of 3 had the following: the salmon entree; lobster sandwich; fish & chips. Service was outstanding (thank you, Michelle, our and very attentive and personable server). The setting/location is picturesque. If you're visiting the Niagara region, I strongly recommend having a meal at this restaurant. We also visited 5 years ago for a family dinner event, and it was wonderful too.
Amazing new patio set up! Loved it!
We were still forced to do outside dining due to COVID so we were offered a nice table in the Inn's patio. Unfortunately, the restaurant is across the street. The staff were in good humour about the long walk from the kitchen, but it di require a bigger tip! The garden menu is not as interesting as the usual restaurant but was adequate and made for a lovely stop between wine tastings. The metal garden chairs were not comfortable at all!
Not worth the long drive as there is nothing special about the food or experience
First class service and a most delicious patio lunch. Perfect salmon and steak frites. Sublime lemon mousse!
My husband asked if he could get the fries instead of apple coleslaw but wasn’t told there was a additional 4.00 charge to do this
The fois gras was superb but the mains were overly salted. The ambiance is quaint and romantic. The service was friendly and knowledgeable which added to the experience. Reasonably priced wine selection by the glass and good list of Canadian wines.
We had such a lovely time at inn on the twenty. Service was great! Dinner was delicious! My husband and I had our first date here, got married here, and celebrated our almost 2nd anniversary here. It holds a special place for us. We can’t wait to visit again soon 🥰
The menu is small but diverse. The quality of the ingredients and cooking was excellent. The quantity of food was a bit sparse on the caprese salad, especially for a hungry person. The steak and frites was possibly the best I've ever had. Others in our party really enjoyed their meals too.
We ate outside and it was a bit hot for those who could not sit under an umbrella.
Star was very friendly. The food was good and dessert amazing.
We like very much the restaurant but I found this time that the menu is very limited,
The service and the ambiance was wonderful
It was ok. Disappointing when the lobster sandwich had two huge pieces of shell. Boyfriend said his mouth was killing him . Trying not to be a Karen about it but I think after a few pieces of shell In your food you really don’t want to keep eating . They tried to make it right by not charging for his meal which was kind . But I would think if it’s a Chef prepared menu a little more quality control wld be expected . Server was great !
We had a wonderful lunch out on the patio. Service was outstanding and food was great all around. The ambiance of this little area and on the patio makes for a special spot to have a meal. Highly recommend.
Always a lovely experience and we were very happy to make this our first "back to patio dining"
Lexa was our server ...excellent service and the food was delicious!!!!!! Compliments to both the executive and pastry chefs!!!!!
Very friendly atmosphere, great food with nice presentation and a very good local wine! We spent a wonderful afternoon! Thank you!
