Izanami serves Japanese Izakaya fare: seasonally inspired small-plates meant for sharing, accompanied by the best sake list in the west. Please note that while we do our best to accommodate your seating, we cannot guarantee requests. Zozobra is an an annual event that kicks off the fiesta season in Santa Fe. For this event, Murales Road will close from 7 AM–5 PM, from Valle del Sol to Cuesta del Norte for fireworks set-up, and Bishop's Lodge to Gonzales Road from 3PM-11PM. Take Gonzales Rd up to the restaurant and give yourself an extra 10 min.

    You have reserved a true traditional Japanese experience floor seating (with no well under the table for legs). Remove your shoes, and take a step onto our tatami room. A garden window view completes this unique dining experience. This is a unique experience, but it can be challenging for those with limited flexibility. Please let us know in advance if you need to change these reservations, as we will not be able to offer other options upon arrival. Children under 10 are not recommended.

    Amazing experience after a great day at the spa. Everything we ordered was delicious. The tuna ceviche was fresh, the miso sea bass was crispy yet perfectly soft and flaky, by far one of the best I've had. Even the broccolini with yuzu was delicious. Service was also on par and there for your every need. I'd come back whenever I am Ten Thousand Waves again!

    We tried Izanami on the recommendation of another hiker we may on the trails near Santa Fe. It was wonderful! The menu is interesting; there is something for everyone. The portions are large enough to satisfy, but not so large that you can’t finish your meal. The waitstaff is attentive and timely. Loved the atmosphere! Will definitely go again.

    Took a friend here for their first time. We’re both vegetarian and had a feast of options highlight for me was the street corn fusion dish and the grilled avocado.

    Izanami is a pretty location, the restaurant is lovely and quiet -we were on the deck. The food is clean but unremarkable, service was lackluster - maybe it was an off night. It is a nice place for a nice meal

    Service excellent. Food not so. This is NOT a Japanese restaurant. The Izzy salad was soaking in dressing and my sister's burger was over done and some of the bun was burned. Will not return. I have been there when they first started and it was more of a real Japanese restaurant. Has become commercial just the Spa!! Too bad!!
