    It's been a few years since I've been to J. Liu's. After eating there this weekend, it won't be long before I return. I had a large party and everyone was happy with appetizers, main courses and drinks that we ordered. The server was spot on when anything was needed and the prices were very reasonable.

    September 4, 2023: the restaurant has shortage of staff. Even with the reservation table was not prepared. Majority of tables inside were empty but not set up. After waiting we were told that AC is not working in a larger room with the bar attached to it (88F outside). Smaller room was fine and it had AC. Pad Thai with tofu tasted like it was made 3 days ago, salty, and reheated. Chicken fingers were not attractive and very dry looking outside. French fries and burger were fine. Place looks clean. The construction work is ongoing next to the restaurant which probably makes everything harder for everyone.

    Had a great meal and experience. Friendly service and great Asian fusion cuisine. I like that they have a handful of American staples like grilled chicken sandwich, chicken parm, ribeye, etc.

    We chose this restaurant based on hearing good things from various people online. We came for my son’s 18th birthday. The server was lovely and very attentive. We ordered the crab Rangoon for an appetizer which was very good! For entrees we ordered beef pad Thai, poke bowl, one California roll and the sesame chicken with steamed rice. Our entrees were plenty of food and a couple of us shared the sesame chicken. Unfortunately one of the sesame chicken bites had a little weird texture to it but the rest of it was very tender. The restaurant was not very busy on a Saturday evening (there was an OSU game on) and we didn’t wait very long for drinks or dinner. Overall a good experience and would recommend!

    The food was just average, at best. Had a couple of sushi rolls that were a step below what you can get at the local supermarket. Server was very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately she didn't prepare the food.

    The best thing about JLiu’s is the food! The ahi tuna is the best!! However the service was slow and the restaurant itself needs some rehab. Looks rather worn in the seating area. Bar area looks better. But will go back for the food.

    While my dinner was excellent...the restaurant was so noisy, loud we could not talk to each other without shouting. I would not come back for dinner again. I am disappointed that you want to serve so many people that the noise level is not conducive to having a nice dinner experience.

    Felt like it was one of the more less expansive nice meals we’ve had in a while. A bowl of lobster bisque was only $5, and it was delicious. It seemed very loud when the restaurant was full but quieter down as people left.

    I usually love this place but it was exceptionally noisy and the service was significantly lacking on this visit. I have never had this problem there before so I’ll definitely give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a one off, but I must admit I was disappointed last night.

    Got the nachos. Tuna smelled strong, not fresh. Sushi roll could have been fresher. Overall not a place I’d be interested in going back to anytime soon.

    Ate here with a book club group. Menu had enough variety for everyone and they enjoyed their food. Noise level was good as we could all hear each other talk. Our server also did an excellent job.

    We had the dynamite roll and pad thai to share. Both were good and good value. Dynamite roll was really good. The pad thai is tasty but not authentic. The potstickers arrived two ways, steamed and pan fried, prefer the latter. The carpet in the entryway needs to changed, it’s quite old and worn and gives the place a rundown first impression. The wait staff were friendly, efficient and capable. Lots of attention and care. Overall, a good experience.

    This is the 3rd time I have eaten at this restaurant location and the food was always amazing. We went for our 5th wedding anniversary and our server was excellent, he answered all our questions and explained the dishes to us in detail. All of our drinks and food were served in a timely manner and the server made several trips back to the table to make sure we were completely satisfied and had everything we needed! Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

    My friend and I sat in one of their booths. We thought it was VERY noisy. The restaurant was full. The noise was disturbing to us. The service was very good, the food VERY tasty! The Lobster Bisque OUT OF THIS WORLD. In the future, I will order L.B. Online for take out!

    The service we received from our server was exceptional. Our friend's birthday was made even more memorable as our server surprised us with a delicious birthday cheesecake without any prompting from us. We opted for a variety of appetizers and entrees to experience a little bit of everything, and each dish was expertly prepared and incredibly flavorful. Thank you for a great night filled with delicious food, we’ll be back!

    Our server, Grace, was excellent. Upon seating, she immediately greeted us and asked for drink orders, even though our full party had not arrived. She ensured that our food met our expectations. And, was attentive without being intrusive. Food was perfect. We would definitely ask to be served by Grace on our next visit.
