Welcome to Jack’s Kingston – where even the Chamber of Commerce thinks we’re awesome! Winner of the 2017 Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce: Tourism and Hospitality award.

Our mission? Great people helping other great people totally have a blast while enjoying amazing food. Wow, that was a mouthful. But can you blame us? We’re a restaurant. One that specializes in delicious food and great times. Our goal is to make you laugh. And depending on your hot sauce tolerance, cry.

In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub.

But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.

Sat on the roof, view was amazing, service was great, food was yummy. I started to get chilly and asked to have one of the heaters turned on but it sounds like most of them are broken.

We dined on a Friday night at 6:15. It was half hour before we got drinks. Another half hour before food order was taken. Then 90 minutes to get our chicken wings which were cold when we got them. When we told waitress, she said she’d take them off our bill if we ate them or she could have us fresh hot ones in 10 minutes. We opted for hot ones. It was 37 minutes when we got the fresh ones. Waitress said she kept checking but they weren’t done. I asked for manager. Waitress came back and said I took the wings off your bill. That tells me she was blaming the kitchen for her bad service. No need to worry about us going back. Other customers came in an hour after us and ordered wings and left after their meal 30 minutes before us

It’s really too bad about our experience because we often go to Kingston and always wanted to try Jack Astors but after our first visit here, we will likely never go back. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon and we were prepared to wait for drinks and food due to the increased traffic. However, even with reservations, the service we received was very poor. From the time we sat down till the time we left, our waitress didn’t seem to care much about helping her guests but rather chat with the table beside us. So bad to a point, another table got up and asked the waitress to stop chatting and please get the bill so they can leave. For a joke we timed it, after she took our food and drink order, 16 mins she stood at the table chatting away before going to the bar and getting our water. Apart from taking our food and drink order at the same time, we didn’t see her till we were done eating. Food was subpar, chicken was luke warm at best but we couldn’t get the issue fixed, no service. We ate quick, tried to pay even quicker so we could leave. Again we were well prepared to wait for drinks and food due to the increases in traffic. However this waitress either wasn’t trained correctly or didn’t care about her position and made our experience less enjoyable.

The restaurant was too loud. You couldn’t talk to anyone in your group. They were out of multiple items. Three of the items we ordered were unavailable. Asked for a glass of water 3 times and never got it. An expensive night for a night so enjoyable time.

There was a big crowd waiting at the door but we had reservations so went straight to our seat. Within a couple of mins a waiter came and asked us if we wanted drinks. After bringing the drinks he waited about 5 mins and then asked if we were ready to order. We ordered and were surprised when our food came in about 10 mins. We thought with the big crowd that we would have had to wait. The food and the service was excellent.

Had to book early lunch at 11 prior to grad ceremony. Server was completely disinterested in serving probably due to prep work for opening. No engagement at all until the cheque arrived.

Our reserved table was ready for us when we arrived. We were met by a friendly host who brought us to our table. After a few minutes our waiter arrived. She was very friend and knowledgeable. She checked on us a couple of time during our meal to see if all was well. We enjoyed our pleasant evening.

Kind of gross to be completely honest. I used to think that for a chain restaurant, it was really good. The food was terrible and the place was dirty. It’s too bad because it used to be great. Our server was really good though.

We had shaky service from our young must be new server, but the food exceeded my expectations. We had to go find her to be able to get our bills which was a little bit odd but we enjoyed our experience for the most part.

Normally I have a great time here. Tonight was not one of those nights. We made a reservation for 615. We were seated at 610. Great. 1/2 hour later we still hadn't seen a server. We flagged one down who said ours would be a minute but he would get us our drinks. Great. Now yes the bar was quite busy but our waitress had been to the 2 tables beside us twice already and not even acknowledged us. We would have been happy had she just said sorry guys running around I'll be right with you. We received our drinks and still waited for our waitress to take our food order. After being there an hour the kind waiter that took our drink order came to see if our waitress had came to our table yet... We said no she has not. So he took our order and took care of the rest of the night. He was fantastic! The food was blah service was not great at all. Not sure if we will return

The food was very good. The staff was hardworking, upbeat, appropriately attentive. It’s a university town and we went on a Friday night, so the music was a bit loud for our taste, but given that this restaurant is mainly attended by younger people, we understood, smiled, and enjoyed our evening. There were a variety of ages (teens to 60+) at the restaurant and everyone seemed happy!

I had made a reservation assuming that meant we’d have a good table assigned. Instead the four of us were crammed into a table that seemed meant for 2 in the bar area. I had noted we were 3 adults with a child (10 years) in the reservation. We were sandwiched in between to parties that we’re ordering fishbowl type drinks and having conversations and using language that really wasn’t appropriate for my 10 year old. Our food took forever and our server - who was lively and very apologetic - seemed to also be the bar tender so want able to be attentive. He did come a couple times for the table but I couldn’t hear what he was saying because the music was so loud. I did ask for it to be turned down and he nodded but I don’t think he heard us but he did bring extra napkins instead. We did ask to move but we’re told the upper floor was closed and a large party was coming for the other half of the non bar area. Of our food had arrived in a decent amount of time we would have been gone before they arrived as we were in our way out when that group came in. The food was Luke warm and throwing together. My salad was awful and drenched in so much dressing the lettuce was limp. Not a great experience at all.

as always we had delicious burgers with great fries! unicorn bellini was delicious! very nice server. we arrived early for r reservation but we’re still seated. only negative was the music was a little loud for us but we sat towards the back which made it better.

Food was great but the service was terrible. 20 mins after sitting down the server finally came to ask us what we wanted to drink then took another 10-15 mins to get the drinks. She then took another 20-25 mins to come back to ask us what we wanted for our meal. By the time we got our meal, we were there for over an hour. Food was amazing though, tasted excellent and it was hot! The service just ruined the overall experience unfortunately.

We had the experience to dine yesterday and it was far from a success. Last visit we dined upstairs and it was fantastic. LuLu was our server, but needs more training. Lulu took original bill back to complete tip. Bill was 107.26. I gave her two separate papers with gift amount. Never got them back either, but I had copies. Would like a copy of bill for my records. Steak, brushetta fantastic, hot crab not so good. Downstairs too noisy.
