Jack Astor's - Mississauga (Argentia)
In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration.
But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.
Same as any other Jack Astor's. This one was well staffed, and the TVs everywhere made it fun, especially because there was a playoffs game on.
We had a great dinner here. Lashes was a great server - very attentive! Food was great!
Service was outstanding
We would surely go to this location again
Love this location! My boyfriend & I were celebrating our anniversary and we’re glad we chose to celebrate it here. Food was deliciously amazing and came super fast.. and it was a Friday!! Our server’s name was Niffy and she gave us an exceptional experience and great service! Will definitely be returning to this location.
My husband ordered soup which never arrived, the server took his glass away before he finished his drink, other server tried to take my wine glass away even though we had ordered a bottle and the bottle was still on the table. When we got home, I picked up a voice mail message that we didn't show up for our reservations (booked on-line and I did tell them at the desk we had reservations). I know it was busy night but I think we'll wait awhile before we go back.
The chicken fajitas were amazing as another jack astors that me and my mother go to give us less chicken so I appreciate the abundance of chicken served. My mother loves your fajita bowl but her only complaint was the spiciness of it. Otherwise it was amazing as always. Markus was an amazing waiter will definite go back to this jack Astor’s over the other one. THANKS
The food was good and the service was OK. To me it seemed that they scrimped on the food, as we ordered fajitas for two, and there wasn't enough of the main course to make 8 fajitas with.
Took my family for a Friday night dinner out and had a migraine by the end of it. Far to stimulating with the constant images that are shown on the tv screens, but wasn’t a tv show or sports game. Level of noise and conversation rose by the minute until I left with a migraine. Lively, loud atmosphere. Difficult to converse with your table due to the noise
Walked into a no more than 25% capacity to wait for a table. We were seated to a “ready” table with no high chair, as requested, no cutlery, menus or side plates.
Server took drink orders and apologized for delay as they are short staffed. 30% of kids items were out of stock, had to walk over to the Starbucks to get them chocolate milk. Appetizers came out warm at best with mains arriving completely separate with some wrong items. First persons main was near done before last persons main arrived. We cleared our own plates to the empty table next to us, not once did a manager walk over to either ask about experience or apologize for outcome.Paid bill in full as I don’t believe an over worked staff should be penalized for the terrible organization and management. Asked to speak to manager, Jennifer Comeau, and after raising concerns mentioned above, Jennifer simply thanked me for my feedback. No ask of how to make the experience better and certainly no next time visit offer. Customer retention was simply not present.
We visit Sircorp brand restaurants often, Scaddabush being most frequent followed by Jack Astor’s but this location will certainly not be re visited.
This place sucks. Mediocrity at its finest. Loud obnoxious setting with screens everywhere. Food is bland and uninspired. Prices are high for the drek being served. Highlight is leaving and getting a sucker, which is what you are if you dine here. Never again.
Yes, however, they need
To get their reservations in order. We made a reservation and when we got in they didn’t even have it .. I had my confirmation however, and they did accommodate regardless.
The service was amazing this time!! Our waitress was one of the best I have ever had and the food was great! If they keep this up I will be sure to visit more often.
Is one of my favourite restaurants which we frequent visit with just as couples, with our kids & friends.
This is my home restaurant, ❤️❤️❤️
We had a reservation and were there for 6:30, however did not get seated until 6:55pm. This was discouraging since we had a reservation and people were getting seated before us. I checked in again and was given an explanation around Open Table reservations which I don’t fully understand. A reservation is a reservation, or so I thought. However, to make it up for our inconvenience, nice we were finally seated, Jennifer, the manager gave us a free appetizer. A great way to handle the disappointing situation. After that service and food were great.
We took our kids ages 8 and 5 and I have to say the staff were amazing to our kids, the immediately offered the boys barrel of donkey game, crayons etc and made them both feel extra special. Our server Claudia was so pleasant and def gave us her undivided attention esp on a busy Saturday night. The kids meals cams out right away while my husband and I enjoyed our drinks and then while we had dinner the kids had their desserts- banana splits which in my opinion where too large, they could have shared one I think. The kitchen did run out of brownies for dessert for us and it was only 8:30pm but honestly the actual dinner was super good. My steak was cooked to perfection and my husband had the famous buffalo chicken fingers which were equally as good.
All in all for a local place close to home and super kid friendly we will definitely be back again, the atmosphere for a Saturday night was really good!
$20 salad that was mostly iceberg lettuce, few strawberries, minimal chicken and too much dressing.
We were sat immediately, and our requests for a booth were met without a hitch. Our server was prompt in coming over, our drinks were served quickly; we were given the right amount of time to preview the menu. One of my guests had never been to the restaurant before. The appetizer arrived in a good amount of time as did the main course. Modifications were made to the food and everything arrived hot and perfectly as request. Our server, Manny, was lovely. I will definitely go back. My one complaint is that the particular area we were dining in seemed a bit crowded and it was difficult to remote a winter jacket without nearly hitting the table beside or across from you.
Everything was great, except the nachos. My friend and I ordered the Nachos for an appetizer. When it arrived, we both had one nacho each and could not eat the rest as it was way too salty. We sent it back and were not charged for it.
Our waitress was friendly, kind and knowledgeable. Great place to go
Food came out very quickly and was excellent! The waitress was amazing and very funny which was good. Service was a bit slow considering there was nobody in there besides a couple of families but overall the visit was great. Totally recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place to grab a bite!
My grilled chicken/goat cheese wrap was served with bright pink/blood spotted chicken. Sent it back.
Jack Astors- consistency from location to location , same stuff on the menu
Food & service were great but the price of fountain sodas is ridiculous! $4.00 for a glass of Coke - robbery!
Greeter was accommodating when we brought 2 extra guests to make party of 8. She originally reserved a booth for our party of 6 but this would not accommodate 2 young children in highchairs, as I specifically advised in advance.
Within 10min Was able to walk right in after signing up with this app. This app is a keeper.
Music is too loud, hard to hear conversations with people at my table.
Different waitresses came by to say hello to our children and ask us if we needed anything & how was our meal. Appreciated the great customer service.
Great place friendliest staff great atmosphere my husband and I go to Jack Astors very frequently
We had bread, Caesar salad, steak with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I had a strawberry daiquiri and my husband had a chocolate milkshake. Food and service was very good.
Great if you you like loud music and sports. Not a great place if you want to have a quiet meal
It was excellent. We all really enjoyed our meals.
Food came quick and server was friendly and helpful
Hadnt been to Jack Astor's in about a year and the last time was a business outing. They had mailed promotional gift cards ($15 off) and so we decided to go for wedding anniversary. Food, staff and service were all fantastic. Manager came around several times to check on how everything was and for some nice friendly conversation. There are TVs everywhere so between the US Open for golf and world cup soccer, plenty to keep an eye on. Ambiance was good with a nice mood and vibe. I can imagine the energy there must be with all the TVs when the place is packed for a major sporting event.
Happy to have gone back and will definitely go back !
Good as a celebration of a birthday party with family.
Service was great our server Kate she did a treat job. Food was off the chain.
Amazing service , great staff, good food. We'll revisit for sure..
Friendly atmosphere, food was great for all of the family’s verifying food tastes .Thouroly enjoyed the music and the drawing ✍️ on the table top , maybe some variation in colours. Look forward to our next night out
The Bannon family.😁
I haven’t been at any Jack Astor’s branch for quite awhile so when My friend suggested it I booked it immediately via Open table. Our server Victoria was awesome. She provided us some suggestions with the drinks, my friend and I ordered the Mango Fuzzy Breeze and Strawberry Vodka in a big bowl and it was amazing, we also had chicken tacos (so yummy with ranch sauce) and the nachos( a huge portion! Atleast huge enough for the both of us to share) Victoria would always Check in on us how everything’s going and if there’s anything she can get for us. Such an attentive server considering that our area was so busy that Friday night. The only thing that somehow disappointed us (but not much of a deal breaker) is the dessert menu. Everything is chocolate! I think if there is one area of the menu they should try working on, it’s this. Overall, our dining experience was great. Thanks, Victoria!
Food was very good for the value. But the waiter....he was nice until the bill came. The bill after tax was $257. We left him $33 tip and we felt he got all cold because we gave him $300 and when he asked if we want anything back we sad yes $10 please. It was an awkward situation after that which left an uncomfortable feeling. :(
Overpriced by the time you have a glass of wine and appetizer plus dinner for two you are into $100 tax included. This is too much for a pub/sports style restaurant. Also extremely noisy. Had hard time to have a conversation with friends. This is not for everyone. Very disappointed. Food was good and so was the service but not at that price.
