Jack Astor's - Toronto (Yonge & Bloor)
In all seriousness, we take real pride in our food. Try our Cluckin’ Fresh Chicken Fingers, made and seasoned with fresh, never frozen chicken tenders. This isn’t run-of-the-mill pub grub. Our Band of Chefs are influenced by a wide variety of tastes and have travelled across the globe to gain inspiration.
But outside of the kitchen, we find it hard to take ourselves seriously. We have an Elvis booth. For no particular reason. Folks, that really does say it all. We’re sports fanatics, music nuts and love a good joke. If you’re into at least one of those things, we should hang out.
Time to boycott this Venue.
The NEW "1/2 Price Bottles of Wine" Promo is apparently only good Sun-Tues and that's only mentioned in the fine print and only if you ask for a Wine List.
Yes, can best be described as deceptive advertising and very deliberately designed (Graphics & Layout) to confuse.
So, imagine the surprise when the Bottles of Wine that you order @ $ 27.15 each, suddenly appear on your Tab @ 61.37 each (Taxes in).
When questioned, The Staffers say that the offer was good, yesterday, but today is Wednesday.
Apparently it's "Buyer Beware".
SirCorp doesn't are about Food Quality (Poor at this Venue) nor do they care about Customer Satisfaction...…...It's all about "The Tubman's"($$$$).
Jack Astor's is a known entity. Wide assortment of menu items to choose from with quick, friendly service. Good for a casual lunch time meal.
This venue needs to focus on 'Quality Control' of food items.
This Venue is once again experiencing some 'Quality Control Issues' when it comes to Food.
The Nachos were overdosed with salt and the entire meal was inedible.
Chicken Fingers were delivered and were pink on the inside (Undercooked).
Funny thing is that our Server didn't seem too concerned that we barely touched our Meals.
She cleared the table and promptly presented us with the bill.
Paid $22 (incl. tax/tip) for a club sandwich that was woefully too small for that price and a side of fries. Server got our bill wrong twice, we didn't bother to say anything the second time. Didn't expect much from a Jack Astor's, yet was still disappointed. Whomp whomp!
Great food and excellent service
A really nice touch is the half-priced bottles of wine (Certain types)
Excellent food and service.
Delicious food and good service!
First off, I wanted to say our server Matt was amazing! Remembered he had served us before. Was polite, funny and efficient. Attentive, but not overly so.
Service was very fast and the food runners were also great.
One of our favourite restaurants—we have been going there for more than 10 years. Also super convenient as our offices are across the street.
We were very disappointed to hear you’ve removed fajitas from your menu. The fajitas are something my daughters and I order at every visit!
Instead we ordered three Chicken Bow Tie dinners which we have ordered before and have been great. This time however, the aroma and taste of the cheese was so powerful it was not the most pleasant of experiences. So much so, that one of our daughters couldn’t eat it, so we opted to take her order home instead of letting it go to waste. In hindsight, we should have sent all three dinners back.
We re-ordered the Chicken fingers for her which were excellent!
The 2 order of chicken quesadillas and 2 orders bruschetta were some of the best we’ve had!! So all was not lost!
In summary, mostly great food, excellent, quick service especially considering how busy the restaurant was. Lovely, friendly and welcoming staff from the time we came in to the time we left!
Went during the lunch rush. Food was good, service was excellent! In and out in 40mins
Always know what you are getting. Good for a social gathering, business or a date.
A night out with a friend. Enjoyed our food. Both had the salmon bowl and it was delicious. Would have it again. Our server, Kyle, was great. We were going to a show and told him we only had just over an hour before we had to leave. He made it happen without us feeling like we were rushing.
Great place. Very lively . We arrived an hour before our reservation and they seated us right away. Varied menu, reasonable prices. Very good waitress, very attentive when necessary and left us alone when not necessary. Great time.
Loved the spicy of the chicken wings at the table.
Too crowded and tables too close together.
Had to share with strangers even though we reserved table for 5 they put us on a bench
We were disappointed in the salads we ordered . I had a Smiling Buddha . The chicken was hardly noticeable , there were only tiny bits of or. It was supposed to come with cauliflower and pecans . I had a couple of pecans and honestly did not taste the cauliflower .
My husband had the tuna salad . It was supposed to have avocado in it. There were only a couple of pieces in it .
We get that we did not get value for the money we spent on these salads .
Thank you, great location, easy access to subway. Service was decent and food was enjoyable
We had a great dinner! Our server was Christina (what a coincidence!)
I ordered something I had before but something seemed off this time and it did not taste the same st all. Felt sick all night so unfortunately something was off
Great location, very conveniently located (Above the Bloor-Yonge Subway Station).
A Staff that's dedicated to 'Customer Satisfaction;.
Great food and service, keeps the regulars coming back.
The patio is small, but is functional and gives the 'Sun Worshipers' an excuse to dine 'Al Fresco'.
Still a 'Go To Venue' for pregame events at Rogers and the ACC (NOT, the Scotia Bank Arena)
and for those brave TFC Fans.
Great Food and Service, will always keep us coming back to this Venue.
Tons of 'Big Screen TV's' that allow you to follow all the PGA Events.
Awesome Staff, who are focused on 'Customer Service'.
Great Menu selection (However, limited selection of Wines).
A great 'Mid-Town' location, right above the "Bloor-Yonge Subway Complex".
A great venue to sit and watch the tour de France.....It's a whole different crowd !
Great Food and Superb Service.
Service and food were good. But a little less “mist” on the patio would have been appreciated. Being as wet as if it had been raining literally put a damper on things. We had to ask twice before the man made shower stopped.
The service was really bad. I reserved a table for 2 people and it was not ready when we came. We had to take a seat at the bar and the bartender never gave me the menus until I ask to a waiter for them even when we were seating there for 10 min. We ordered 2 drinks and our food and he never put my order in the computer, I don’t know why!. He just gave us our drinks even when I confirmed our orders twice. I was really upset for that! When I ask him for our food he when to the computer to see our orders and he didn’t find it obviously and he tried to lie us and he put the order but he didn’t realize that I was watching him. I didn’t say nothing but after 35 min waiting for a couple burgers I was for sure done. Even he tried to fix the situation but I asked for the bill cuz I was done of that place. Today was the worst experience I have never had before.
I won’t go back!!!
Waitress was very nice. I was there with three of my adult children. We had drinks, apps and entrees. My entree fries came out with apps as did one of my daughters salad. This just should not have happened. Other than that the evening was great..
Great Venue to relax and watch weekend PGA Events.
Thanks to Nick for the excellent Service and attention to detail.
We came for dinner because the Raptors won and I’m a huge fan.
I had a lovely time and our server Josh was very friendly and kind.
Everything was fine.
A colleague and I went for lunch at noon with reservations. We both wanted your famous chicken strips but they were not available. I asked how can you be sold out at noon. The waitress said that they sold out the night before. Then I asked for the soup of the day (potato and leek) but she came back from kitchen to say that they didn't have any. So I went to my 3rd choice.
I'm surprised the lunch menu has been removed. The dinner portions are too large for a lunch meal.
I don't think we would return for lunch again although I work across the street.
I must comment that the service was friendly and excellent.
Came here for the raptors finals and we suggested to sit closest to a tv which we were able to. Our server was bubbly, very friendly and attentive. We accidentally broke a pint glass and she assured us that it was no biggy, she didn’t look at all upset or annoyed with us, so that was very comforting. The vibe of this Jack Astor’s was fun! I would definitely return.
My waitress, Sam, was amazing ! Energetic, enthusiastic, timely! Her service made the big night that much better!!
Pleasant service, always good food and drink. Good place for any occasion.
Great food and service.
A special thanks to Nat and Madison, who took good care of all.
We'll be back tomorrow night, to watch history in the making; as the Rap's get the job done and advance to the next stage.
Great Food and Service (By Nick); as it was a great way to wind up the long holiday weekend.
Table wasn't "reserved" and had to wait. When we did get our table it was for 4 (reserved for party of 5) but the waitress said she could move the table for two against it so we had more space. BUT as soon as we sat down she changed her mind and said they needed the space and sat my party of 5 at a table for 4 and a party of 8 at a table for 6 right beside us. Food was the usual and the other server was a sweetheart but so cramped and unprofessional.
My reservation wasn’t even there, the wait staff had us waiting 10-15 minutes for service
This was for my graduation lunch and it was amazing
Food was good, music is loud so it was hard to hear others at our table. Service was good...but the wsiter left the bill at the table then didnt come back at all for 20 minutes we were long done!
Great food and convenient location. Also love the heated outdoor patio!
