   Service was awful. Took us 3 times asking for our waters. Also, took a while for our glasses of wine. My friend's pasta came out cold and a lot smaller portions than what it used to be. I use to love going to this location but, it has gone down hill.

   The only reason why people go there is for their patio, which is nice if you happen to sit right beside the glass fencing. In any other case, its just same as everywhere.

   We were incredibly disappointed with the service we received. we waited 20 minutes before our server offered us drinks, and she was only waiting on 3 tables and the section we satin was pretty empty. We noticed her talking to the bar tender frequently and we had to get another server to get her attention. She didn’t really check on us much and it was overall very disappointing.

   I booked through OpenTable with a specific request for a booth. I did not get a booth. Why have a special request option if it cannot be honored. I took my disabled grandfather out for a nice dinner and ended up at a small table. We enjoyed our meal regardless. Our waitress was attentive and friendly. 5⭐ for service. 5⭐ for food, if only my special request was honored it would have been 5⭐ all around.

    The first time we went to Jack Astor’s at Dundas location… a very crazy busy night. The food is an amazing and very reasonable price, Mild chicken wings are so good, especially the CHOCOLATE MALTED BROWNIES … To Die For … the only issue was our server did not introduce himself so no idea who going to order.     Always a good time at Jack Astors and this location is amazing of course. We had tickets to see a show and our server made sure everything was quick so we could make it to the show with plenty of time to spare. The food is also delicious

    Great location (Adjacent to the Eaton Centre) & is the perfect spot for relaxing after that harrowing shopping spree. The 4th floor Patio (Overhangs Dundas) & provides awesome views. Great food & service, will keep us coming back.

    I was purposely put at a dark table close to the kitchen and easier for the server. And the first table they tried to sit us at was directly under a large TV screen that no one would have enjoyed sitting under. This table was also close to the kitchen and easier for the server. While we were eating, there were better tables, brightly lit, with leather benches, that sat empty. WHY? They were farther from the kitchen.

    Seen the waitress twice. Didnt bring extra sour cream we asked for. Seen the waitress only twice. She had way too many tables. I made reservation as we in town for special occasion. Asked for booth specifically in reservation. They seated us by the front door of restaurant where people wait to get in and constantly going in and out asking how long the wait is. It was a table the size of a large pizza pan. High top table with two uncomfortable chairs. We had backpacks luggage and shopping bags but nowhere to put it. Food came, asked for extra sourcream but never seen server again. While we ate we had the people waiting and coming in and out staring… so yeah this was terrible. Crappiest of our meals in Toronto before we had to flyout and it was supposed to be best one to end our trip. Disappointed and waste of $60 for two. A real bummer.

    Very busy, very packed, felt like a sardine. We had a great server, which was helpful but definitely wouldn't go back on a Saturday evening again (and it was early evening - 5pm)

    Quick and friendly service. My drink came with a fruit fly which was taken care of with no hesitation. Portions are large, so great value. Food and drinks were delicious.

    We sat out on the patio under the heaters. That was the nicest part of the evening. We tried to order a few bottles of wine but everytime we selected, they said they didn’t have it. After 30 minutes we asked for just 4 glasses of wine instead at the higher price of course! Our food came before the beverages and everyone else around us was being served. Waitress said that the inside bar was very busy but not too busy to get all the new patrons that had just come in, their drinks. Not very happy with the bar service at all. Guess we didn’t fit the typical style of patrons. Would not go back. Signed, 4 grumpy thirsty ladies on a special Friday night out. 😕

    My food was absolutely awful ! I had the Thai sesame chicken stirfry. Unbelievably salty and the value for money was not there ! So expensive for the quality of poor . Very disappointed .

    Great view from heated patio of Yonge Dundas Square! The food was decent- we had the Caesar chicken salad and Salmon bowl. The Caesar salad was good, with large pieces of real bacon and the chicken was tasty. The salmon bowl didn’t quite come together in terms of flavors. The vegetables were an odd combination - beets, curried cauliflower, pickled onions and quinoa. I felt it missed the mark assuming they were going for an Asian style dish. The salmon was cooked perfectly, but unfortunately this didn’t make up for the sticky rice which was overcooked and cold and hot in different parts. Service was a bit odd. The waitress seemed very new like she didn’t realize the usual order of service. She asked us for our main dish order before asking about drinks. At the end, she brought us our bill before our last drinks came. Also she didn’t clear dishes when she came so at one point we had a bunch of empty glasses and plates in front of us. Overall I think this location of Jack Astors has gone downhill over the years. The patio furniture looked tired and worn out. It was a 3/5 experience. Won’t be returning.

    Went to this resto expecting the trademark JA experience - waitress introduces herself writes her name on table asks if want WATER. Asked for a bottle of wine which came with 1 glass when there were two of us drinking it. After some wait we got a second glass which was filthy! Had to return it to bar ourselves as we didn’t want to wait another 15 minutes. In fairness I think the place was understaffed. Food came fairly quickly but what a disappointed to see that trademark Jack’s HUGE chicken fingers now look like calamari and half the size and quantity of what we have ordered in other locations a few years ago (ie Don ‘Mills). The sweet potato fries were good but the kale salad was so so. Bruschetta came on plain cold doughy slices of baguette that hadn’t been warmed or even toasted! i guess for a quick beer or glass of wine this place is ok but don’t go for the food.

    Great place to dine when visiting downtown Toronto. We sat at the outdoor balcony and it was a great view of the Toronto skyline along with happenings in Dundas Square. Will definitely go back to this location. Great food and service. Thanks.

    There were pigeons eating food off tables and harassing us on the patio throughout our meal. I asked a waiter if they could do something. Perhaps clear the table next to us to get rid of the pigeons’ source of food. No one seemed to care and the pigeons kept on gobbling. The bathrooms were gross and there was no toilet paper in the women’s washroom. This location has gone down the drain. I’ll never eat there again and hope that I don’t get sick from all of the lovely pigeon contact I was treated to. Good times.
