   Was looking forward to dining here. Very nice staff. Unfortunately, I ordered a hamburger which was really sub par. At $20 a burger…the expectation is a house made patty. This looked preformed and was pretty dry even though it was cooked perfectly at med rare. It arrived kind of sad looking, open faced with two skimpy sad dry looking fried onions and just a slab of tomato. In a neighborhood that has fabulous burgers - corner bistro and Fairfax. This one was kind of embarrassing. My fellow diners liked their food! Drinks were good. But man, you should take that burger off the menu.

    Jack's Wife Freda is one of my favorite brunch spots. The food is always incredible, and the waitstaff go above and beyond to make sure your experience involves a friendly face. Every time I go, I'm delighted by the people. But make no mistake: you go here for the food! I'm still talking about the poached eggs with grilled halloumi and tomato. Highly recommend.

    Cute spot with decent service. The food was good, nothing special but extremely small portions for a very high price. We had a 75$ brunch for two without alcohol and were starving afterward (and i am a small woman that never finished her restaurant portions). The staff was friendly and brought us more naan.

    We had the best breakfast/ brunch on our trip to NYC from Louisiana. We hade the Madame Freda, avocado toast, and Maya’s breakfast bowl. All were delicious but I think the madame Freda was the table favorite. We also snacked on some fried zucchini chips and had a couple amazing espresso martinis. Zad was the best server and gave us great recommendations! We bought tshirts and will be back!

    My friend and I had a truly wonderful experience at Jack’s Wife Freda in the West Village. From the moment we arrived the wait staff was warm and welcoming. I had the Vegetable Curry, and it was delicious. We arrived durning happy hour, so I had two glasses of $5.00 Malbec. I can’t say enough about the fabulous wit staff. The tab was surprisingly reasonable, too.

    This place has very good food and service at reasonable pricing. My friend and I enjoyed brunch on a Sunday morning. Unfortunately there were loud guests watching the soccer game, but I supposed that was only on one specific day. It is worth a visit.

    We loved this neighborhood gem . Friendly staff and charming interior, the food was delicious and just the fuel we needed to start our day of walking Manhattan. They also have a beautiful recipe and photo book which I bought as a reminder of this great spot !

    The host (Kat) was absolutely divine and thoughtful - did special arrangements for my birthday celebration. My friends and I love to talk and the servers were super respectful of that - checked in on us all night and let us take our time. We ordered half the menu and loved everything. Def going back!

    I am very upset with the service here. I made a 2:30pm reservation. The policy states there is a 15 minute grace period in order to make the reservation. My party and I arrived at 2:39pm and they had given up the reservation. And treated it as if it was no big deal and suggested we sit outside in 33 degree weather. Absolutely not. Never returning I am so disappointed in this service.

    Booked a reservation but they had no tables inside and was told it would be over a 30 minute wait. Not sure why people are able to take the reservation but not keep the reservation Probably wouldn’t return to this location. Food and service were good though.

    It was exactly as I expected…loud, energetic, and yummy! Delicious brunch in the West Village. If you are looking for a quiet, elegant place, this is not it. This place has a big personality. Try the waffles or the breakfast bowl with the red quinoa. Delish!
