This was my first experience at Jacob's. I had just proposed to my now fiancè and we headed over to Jacob's to enjoy ourselves a nice dinner. I had been recommended by a friend who spoke very highly of the establishment. Both me and my fiancè were blown away by the food,service, and ambience. We were accommodated at every part of our visit with the owner even stopping by to congratulate us and making sure there was nothing lacking in our experience. We had decided to sit at the high-top table downstairs as there was beautiful romantic piano music playing and it made everything feel very intimate. Our server Romaine had provided the best service we recall ever having. The attention to catering to our dietary restrictions and explanation of all the different options was impeccable. All the he food was outstanding. We had ordered the potato puree, beet salad, risotto and sirloin steak. BEST tasting food we have experienced in a long time.. if ever! The alcohol-free wine and vibrant cocktails were also first class. We were blown away at how there was no alcohol content in the wine Romaine had presented to me as I don't drink alcohol.. it tasted exactly like wine! When the food was finished we were given nice brownie dessert complimentary as well as two delicious muffins. The drinks were all complimentary. All in all, we will be making it a tradition to come back to Jacob's for our anniversary dinners as it was the perfect way to make the evening perfect. Highly recommend to anyone looking to have a unforgettable night!

A bit disappointed with the food quality and taste, not saying is bad bit relative to other 5 star restaurant I had better. Had high expectations but they just did not meet. Best dish was the Ceasar Salad made table side, homemade dressing and all. We had warm seafood platter with pasta, presentation was good but taste is bland. Steak we had was 45 days old one, taste was okay but not quite hot just warm. Overall the food taste is okay not great as expected. The service is super good a team of 3 or 4 people waiting on us.

The sea bass was excellent as was the creamed spinach & potatoes o gratin, service was exceptional & friendly, beautiful modern space, I’m not from Toronto but it seems like a hot spot!
