For the price you are paying, the ambiance, service, and food quality are not good. The biggest disappointment was the food. The steak was excellent, but other than that, all the appetizers (particularly an $88 wagyu carpaccio) were bland and not appetizing. The side dishes were standard, but nothing special. The ambiance was loud. The service was slow to get new drinks or to even catch them for a question. The washrooms were dirty. We went here for my father in law's birthday and he was in town from Germany. We want to take him somewhere that was special. We will definitely not be coming back. Paying upwards of $2,000 for something that is essentially The Keg is not something we would want to do again.

We had an AMAZING experience overall. The fort was absolutely delicious and prepared to perfection! I would like to point out our server “Jamie” specifically for her professionalism and expertise surrounding menu items and wine pairing. If you haven’t been to Jacobs & Co then you haven’t been to the best steak house in Toronto. I have been to all the competitors and this one checks all the boxes every time. The service is outstanding coupled by the food and ambience !

Not a lot of lower priced wines on the menu - good decent bottle starting at $400+. Ordered a $200+ cab- not very good - recommended by the sommelier. Brought down overall rating and don’t know if I would bother to go back. I go out frequently and am used to ordering wine - good wine doesn’t need to that expensive. Other than this, food and service was great.

We had a wonderful birthday dinner at Jacobs and Co. The staff were friendly, attentive, and explained the menu without being pretentious. Our meal was delicious and filling and a happy birthday message/dessert were sent to the table as we had shared the purpose of our meal. All and all a great experience and we would definitely come again!

Jacobs came recommended from a friend, decided to try it out for our 10th anniversary. Service was incredible, and that I think lived up to the hype. The food was just so-so. Compared to other steakhouses and places that may have been less expensive, I was disappointed and thought we would’ve gotten more out of it. Steak was undercooked, Caesar salad was soaked with dressing and was not very good for being a staple. Shrimp and oysters were good but you can’t really screw them up. I can see why people like it there but for my wife and I it was ok. Would likely opt for STK, Hy’s, or somewhere like that next time given the quality would be just as good if not better and half the cost.

We celebrated our 13th anniversary here and we were made to feel so special. Our server Joshua was amazing. He was kind and attentive a great conversationalist but also allowed us to just enjoy each other during this dining experience. The table-side Caesar, the ribeye for 2 and the duck fat fries were all amazing. The s’mores cheesecake and flourless chocolate cake with in-house made raspberry ice cream was so delicious we couldn’t stop eating it. But the cherry on top of everything was how everyone we interacted with said Happy Anniversary from the time we entered the restaurant to the moment we left. Truly and simply wonderful service.

We ordered Cesar salad, oysters, two steaks. The steaks were great. The salad was fresh but too much salty. We ordered 20 oysters. They all tasted not fresh with bad aftertaste. It was very disappointing. This level of restaurant and the prices you charge we anticipated for the best quality and freshness of food. We had much better and fresher oyster in less expensive restaurants in Toronto. You should’ve not served oysters if they are not fresh. I had upset stomach three hours after the dinner. Good that I didn’t have to go to a hospital. The service from all the waiters was great

I had a great experience at Jacob’s & Co. steak house! I came to celebrate my birthday and had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and the service was excellent! The Caesar salad was very tasty and the sautéed mushrooms complemented the main dish well. I was able to enjoy my meal with a lovely red wine. The highlight of the dinner was the A5 wagyu steak, perfectly cooked and melt in your mouth, so delicious! Thank you to Vanja and all the staff who made my day so special. A fine dining experience to remember! I definitely need to come back to try the 250day dry aged steak next.

The food was excellent and the service was even better. This place is good for a romantic dinner for two as well as a group dinner for a special celebration. The mushroom risotto was the best I've ever tasted. We got the lamb and the 40 oz Porterhouse and both were seasoned and cooked perfectly. FYI - Rapini is broccolini. The Jade Spring was surprisingly a pretty good refreshing drink.

Wonderful Dinner with attentive staff. Venue has a bit of a unique transition from entryway to dining area felt a bit unnecessary. Wine selection seemed a bit small and I ended up ordering a mixed cocktail as a result. Overall was an enjoyable experience and would eat here again
