Hard to get servers attention when we needed something
Server was excellent. Food tasty but price for a salad + shrimp was steep.
I’d read a few reviews before going since it was our first time trying it so my expectations weren’t the highest based on what I read and I must say most of the reviews were pretty much spot on. The food didn’t taste anything special and my pasta dish even though we laughed about it at the time reminded me of eating beefaroni as a kid. Yes the Chef Bouyardee kind. The Sangrias we had was the best thing we had. My friend also had pasta and she didn’t even want to finish it because it was kind of tasteless with no real flavour. I can say I’ve been there done that but probably won’t be going back.
My daughter Asked to skip the chillies on her pasta but got them anyway ... we didn’t have time to send it back
Husbands burger was overcooked and dry
My pasta was delicious
Maybe it was because I was there on a Sunday but the service was slow and terrible. Our waitress forgot to bring our drinks and when we're asked her she said she would bring it right away.... the table next to us got theirs before we got ours. To top it off the Pepsi wad flat and tasted disgusting. We asked for hot sauce and she gave us an empty bottle. Then the food was undercooked. I wouldn't be going back.
Great service, flexible hostess. Yummy meal, though my chosen salad should/could have had more pears and pine nuts
This was my first time and the drink deals and food selection is great. Service is a bit slow, especially on the drinks. There was a really loud table near us that was disturbing other diners . My birthday wasn’t really acknowledged when it was noted on the reservation. Otherwise everything was good !
The service was the worst I've had. The restaurant wasn't busy and yet we weren't attended to for ordering drinks for about 20 minutes. We were 4 young ladies there to have a good meal and some drinks. I recommended Jamie's as I had a good experience at the Square One location. Unfortunately, the Yorkdale location service was horrible. Not only were we largely ignored, only half of my meal was brought out. When I had to flag the server down for my side dish, she apparently had no idea I was waiting for it. On top of that, this place is a tad pricey and for those price points, you definitely don't expect service worse than McDonald's, where they are at least organized and tend to customers and your order in a timely fashion. Disappointed and embarrassed I recommended this to my friends.
Great service. The staff was friendly and very thoughtful to remember that we were celebrating my sisters birthday. Thank you for the wonderful service. The birthday girl loved the lunch and surprise.
This was probably my 4th time to visit Jamie's and I was a little disappointed. Our server was the issue. She took a very long time to check in with our table. She dropped a knife on a friend, spilled hot oil on my jacket and had many issues with splitting the bill and not keeping things accurate. It also took a while for the dishes to be served to the table and inconsistent. Most of the table received their items but one friend did not and took a while. I also was disappointed with my dish which said the pasta had rapini in it but it was very minimal. Also my gluten free pasta was under seasoned and overcooked.
I don't think we will be returning any time soon.
Great place and would definitely coming back!
Excellent, authentic, Italian food. Tastes like Europe, not Canada.
The food was excellent, as was the service and atmosphere.
Great staff and service. Food quality is very good. Reasonable prices. Will come again !
Very basics things were lacking or missing from our experience. The food was missing ingredients, service took way to long and the dinks were not very good. The Negroni was quite good tho.
Cooked to perfection! Spiced just right! Will definitely be back.
Excellent food, started with the garlic bread. Slightly overdone but terrific flavour. Steak was fabulous, great desert options. My only complaint would be the service, it took approximately 15 minutes to have drink orders taken after being seated, but food cm quickly after we ordered; surprisingly. Great ambience with rustic and chic decor. This created a very inviting and welcoming environment, the noise was slightly overbearing, at some points it was hard to hear what my guests were saying, but not terrible. This is a great option if you are looking to have a business casual lunch or dinner and are in the area, I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to book a reservation here if I wasn't close by, as the service was mediocre, but a great option overall.
My boyfriend and I dined here and ordered calamari, a burger, pizza, tiramisu, and a pitcher of sangria (which was half off!). Our server was pleasant and everything tasted delicious! We're definitely coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend.
We ordered pasta for our main meals and the pasta noodles were very hard. Our waitress was very nice about the situation and took back the pasta and got them to remake it was excellent and very much appreciated. I think the portion sizes are a little too small for the price you pay especially the appetizer size. Overall, the food was mediocre but the service was great and was the best part. Our waitress was even so nice that she gave us a free dessert to make up for the pasta and the extra wait time to remake the pasta. *Also, I think jazz music should be played in that atmosphere. Or something smoother with a warmer feel. 80’s Music was played. Music changes the mood🤷🏻♀️
Great place and nice staff overall. The food did take awhile to come out and pasta tasted slightly dry but still decent and better than most places.
Beautiful interior! Loved the hanging charcuterie! Everything tasted great. We had the arancini, fried squid, combo cheese and charcuterie board, one of the pastas (don’t remember the name) and the carne pizza. (Too full for dessert but had some gelato just to try something lol) Everything tasted phenomenal! Definitely coming back for the food!
Visited for Winterlicious - menu was pretty decent - expected more from dessert (ordered the panna cotta).
Menu was delicious. Service was very friendly and nice.
Love this restaurant - very spacious.
I was alittle skeptical about coming to Jamie's as I read mixed reviews for Winterlicious 2020. I like to form my own options and I'm glad I did. The atmosphere and restaurant layout was simple, modern and clean. Our server Jessie (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) was kind, courteous and attentive. The food service was prompt as well. The food was excellent and delicious. The presentation of the food was also amazing. I will definitely visit again. I can't wait to try other options on the regular menu.
Went for lunch during Winterlicious, and our portions were very substantial and our choices were plentiful as well. Good quality food, and excellent attention to detail.
very accommodating staff
will definitely return to this restaurant
The waiter was terrific, the ambiance was wonderful, the overall place is a fine fine looking restaurant.
The food was incredibly overpriced, small portioned, my veggie pasta was so overly salty and could barely put it down.
Never going back
The food was amazing. Also, the service was very friendly and quick.
I was not happy with the pasta it was hugely undercooked/ - Raghu pasta. My daughter’s mushroom pasta was done right so mine did not meet the expected quality standards. The pannacotta was a disappointment. No flavour just a blob and the sauce on top was meagre. Araincini was fabulous.
Everything was great but the seat location they put us. Beside the garage door and the cold air draft comes in. Restaurant was full so there is no seat available to move.
Was told to wait 15 mins for a reservation I made days ago. Of all tables, my table didn’t have a candle lit while everyone else was. Was also offered tap water or sparking water.. when I was shocked of the water options the server assumed I wanted tap water but I said no sparkling and a sangria. I still tipped the server well but it’s just a horrible poor experience and I wouldn’t go again
The carbonara was Luke warm when served and the sauce tasted like it was microwaved. The pancetta pieces were so small you couldn’t taste it.
They ran out of warm sticky pudding because it’s on the winterlicious menu. Seems like a poor excuse considering it was put on the winterlicious menu and the fact Saturday’s are very busy management should be more aware.
Unfortunately the service was subpar. Slow and not very professional. We were finished dinner and the plates just sat in front of us for a ridiculous amount of time. Food presentation wasn’t the best either although it was fairly tasty... making the overall experience fair. Unfortunately I don’t believe any of us will be going back anytime soon.
Great service and enjoyable Winterlicious menu selection!
We went for Winterlicious and really enjoyed it. The service was excellent and prompt. Food was delicious and offered something for everyone even those who are picky
One of the best Italian restaurants for pasta & pizza in Toronto!
Service is quite slow and our server prompt for touchpoint. She basically dropped our meals and go.
The seating section we were at was closer to the door so every time a new guest comes in, the freezing air would come in. We had to wear our jackets to stay warm!
Bland tasteless expensive food. The sangria had was sugar and water with a touch of wine. Service was okay.
