Amazing food quality! My partner and I ordered the Grilled Squid, Golden Crunch, Truffle Fry, Cheesy Dragon, the Robata Bento, and the Matcha Crème Brûlée. They all tasted great. Although it's a bit pricey, the taste quality and the service were all worth it. We would definitely come back to this location:)

Best Japanese food in the city! Pressed salmon, mango prawns, salmon sushimi , etc outstanding! Covid care was well done.
As always great food. I do miss some items off the old menu before covid. I appreciate the standard of sanitation as I was there with my parents. Service was a tad slow as there seemed to be a lot of walk in, but very friendly and professional.
Soooo good I’ve never had that good of sushi in my life, it was amazing and the whole table left so happy! Logan was a great server and always made sure we were doing good it was aweosme !

The food here is spectacular, everything was so delicious! Service was fast and really friendly and I love how they have hand sanitizer on all tables. Try the mango tempura shrimp, it's so delicious!

Good food and drink selection but on the pricier side of you are having multi-course meal and drinks. Mostly common fare for similar establishments. Staff was polite and pleasant. Seating well spaced, a bit worn here and there- showing a bit of age. Tips: ask for a table or booth away from the doors if you dislike drafts, be aware of the steps, menus are on QR code now.
Favorite sushi in Edmonton. The food is fresh and delicious, the service is always great, and the atmosphere is awesome. Highly recommend.

Japonais Bistro has been a delectable experience. I was surprised at how family-friendly it was on my second visit with my child. Would recommend for many different types of occasions, great overall!
Did a late afternoon indulgent visit for Japanese food. The food was wonderful, the service was wonderful, the patio was dusty and noisy because of the traffic coming off Jasper Avenue. But I was happy to have the option to dine outside if it meant I could have such good food in a somewhat safer environment.

Food was really good. Service was mediocre. Not sure if it was due to COVID changes, but the restaurant seems to have gone downhill a bit since we were there last in 2019.
Bento Boxes are great value for lunch! Delicious!
I went here a few years ago and it was great. I went here on a business lunch and it was really dark, the leather booths were ripped and it just seemed a bit dumpy. I wouldn’t go again for those reasons however the service was great and the food was good.

Exquisite flavors and high quality fish.
Greeted right when we walked in and water was provided soon after. Covid protocols adhered too. Food was flavourful, balanced and portions were a good size. Service was on par. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Good selection of food and drink menus. Highly recommend.
tempura was nicely fried. Not soggy or greasy,that was exactly what I wanted!
