Food average. Spinach artichoke dip was the best of the meal. Would go back just for that. Service after dinner in bar terrible. Music way way too loud for the 6 people in there and we had to ask to be served.

Time for them to close their doors. Worst food anyone in our party has ever had. Manager refused to even come to our table. Felt bad for the server as she had no control over the kitchen. If you are looking for a good meal don’t go here!

Jimmy's Charhouse is an established, trusted, and reliable place to dine. Great food and drink at reasonable prices (hard to find these inflationary days) and a clean and well-kept restaurant. Always worth including in a dining rotation cycle and frequent visits.

I ordered my filet cooked medium, it was well done. This was our first time here, wanted to love it, but when my steak is way over cooked it’s not a place we will go back. I did not complain at restaurant, because I don’t like doing that. My husband liked his prime rib. Server was great.

Two areas that allow room for improvement, the server seemed lost, confused and/or distracted and never smiled. The calamari was very chewy and not done enough. Unfortunately my plate order was incorrect 2x but they did correct it as soon as possible and with an apology and offered a free dessert.

Old school steak house. Steak was good but everything was under seasoned and very old fashioned. Broccoli and carrots on plate felt like an afterthought. Calamari was good. Everything was clean but the decor “fake flowers” and dark lighting. Slightly overpriced and underwhelming. Add a chef to create some updated flavors and a decor update needed OR Drop prices by about 10%

Been there many times before, but this time burger was over cooked and dry,, couldn't order a bottle of house wine like on past occasions, and wife was forced to order larger salad that was half ate at best.

The night we were there they had no white wine except the two I don’t like. They said the delivery didn’t come in. Then send someone out to binnys and buy a couple of cases. No excuse for that

Over all it wasn’t bad The service was excellent , the drinks wear good I ordered KC bone in strip steak and what they brought out was a at one or porterhouse. I told the server and she brought it back to the kitchen and they said this was a strip. Eating steaks for 45 years , I know the difference ! I was going to argue it further , but since it tasted okay , I just ate it. I still wish I received what I ordered and paid for !

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at Jimmy’s Charhouse, Elgin. The filet was done perfectly. And the Grecian chicken was fantastic! Our waiter was quietly attentive and efficient. The ambiance was good. Cocktails we’re delicious too. Jimmy’s is our go to place, time after time.
