It is expensive here but the food is amazing. Had the seafood Caesar and it was so yummy and lots of seafood in it! Was a great place for a business lunch.

SWS, otherwise known as “The single woman shuffle” is practiced at this restaurant. Even when you have a reservation, a woman dining alone is shunted to an undesirable corner. Often, I just leave when this occurs, but my server was a nice young woman and I was hungry.

The sable fish crudo was attractively presented and delicious. The shrimp/lobster roll was an imposter and should have been called a shrimp roll since I found only four small lobster pieces. The manager took appropriate action when I bought this to his attention, but my experience at the restaurant had been spoiled beyond redemption.

I will not return to this place, Vancouver is filled with restaurants which offer better food and a more pleasant experience. The reputation for fine dining this restaurant has is undeserved.

We went to celebrate my birthday. As always, it was wonderful but we originally came for the Salmon Wellington. We found out it isn’t served in the summer due to the cooking time. We come from Bellevue, Washington so I will check before I come next time!

Still great food!

Our server made us wait so long for our food that we had to call over the manager to request a new server. Even though the new one was very nice and effective we Saltillo had to wait almost 30 minutes for our entree. My wife’s meal was over cooked and had to be returned. I could only eat half due to over cooked fish. They comped the meal but we won’t be back.

There was a very long delay in the kitchen for our food I think due to a party of 10 by us. Our waiter was very apologetic brought us a small treat and dessert at the end which was very nice but still annoying.

Waiter was excellent but the main course took absolutely ages to come out: It must have been well over 45 minutes.

Also, whilst the food is generally excellent, the clam chowder starter had more potato than fish and tasted as such. One of my friends sent hers back because she didn't think it was particularly good.

I was a little embarrassed because I'd really talked up the restaurant to my Parents and friends, who were visiting from England.

I ordered a filet and I’m not sure what kind of meat it actual was. It was one of the worst steaks I’ve had. I would have sent it back but wife was already upset as the service was slow. Disappointing to say the least. It was our most expensive dinner on our trip and the worst food. One bright note—they did give my wife a dessert for her birthday.

I work for healthcare where the residents are offered three meals daily. Their health restricts the chiefs from adding salt which is how the baked seafood pie tasted rather lack of tasted. In the past, my friends would meet monthly there to try the blue plate specials and they were always very good, especially the steak.

Also, I need to comment on the OpenTable reservation. I had to cancel my reservation as my brother had already made reservations through OpenTable. According to the e-mail, my cancellation went through and when I phoned in, the receptionist said she saw the cancellation. The problem is that OpenTable did not record this and this non-cancellation will be noted if this happens again - up to 3 more times they will not provide the service for me.

Service and ambiance were amazing! This is definitely not a steakhouse. I would go back for appetizers and seafood. But streaks were very plain no flavor and undercooked.

I experienced very poor service this time and was extremely disappointed. To the point where we ended up just having appies and then going somewhere else for the meal. This was my birthday celebration and I was so saddened.

Il vino rosso aveva la temperatura ambiente di ca 28 gradi, inbevibile. Una carne servita quasi fredda e l’altra nonostante richiesta Medium rare era stracotta e dura. Se non altro hanno avuto l’onestà di non fatturarle!
Posto non consigliabile!!!

Frankly, I consider this restaurant overrated - but it's clearly popular and locals obviously think it's one of the best in town. We had the full seafood platter, which looks impressive (as it should be for the price). Most of the items are hot (or warm) on arrival, but this gives the problem that they cool down quickly and items eaten later are therefore cold and somewhat greasy. Ambience is great - we sat on the patio upstairs - and the service is fine (but just the level one would expect, nothing spectacular).

Amazing service and delicious food in a long standing Vancouver restaurant. Wide selection of food for brunch and dinner. Try any of the seafood dishes and you won't be disappointed. Exceptional!

The food used to be great but over the last year it seems to be going down hill still okay but not great anymore. We get our food extremely quickly after ordering but the food is never hot just warm. On our last brunch order the shrimp were over cooked and cold almost like the meal was made ahead of time and just assembled before serving.

Food quality and service is always consistent and good. I do find this to be a little pricey, however having consistent quality is well worth the additional dollars! We sat upstairs and I did find this area to be quite noisy not great for trying to discuss business.

Great venue. Three different seating sections main restaurant, bar area over looking the street, and patio. It is a well managed concept and good food. In the other hand, it is on the pricey side and the host is not as friendly as she should be. Over all it is a must visit iconic restaurant.

Vacation in Vancouver led my wife and I to this great spot. Fantastic and very relaxing service from Mike. Fresh seafood, including amazing oysters. Top notch cocktails and extensive wine list. Finished the evening with a unique take on Key Lime pie Great energy in the room. Piano player at 6 that evening. This place elevated the term ‘Saloon Gourmet’

Toda la comida estuvo deliciosa. Siempre que vengo a Vancouver voy a comer a joe fortes y siempre es una sorpresa agradable. .... en esta ocasión el platillo que pedí tenía demasiado betabel... (descubrí que además del rojo hay blanco y amarillo) no me gusta, así que lo deje. Pero a mis invitados les encantó. Es un lugar agradable para cualquier ocasión..

Waiter was just a lovely man with a broad smile & a skip in his step: hold onto him. He was understanding of my gluten allergy & accommodated my request for half portions of my two favourites on the menu!! Sorry, I don’t know his name but kudos to him, thank for for making my birthday lunch special . Always love the live music also!!!

Service was excellent, friendly and genuine. The food portions were very good. Eating on the patio was a great experience and then we moved over to the bar. Drinks were a little pricey. My wife ordered the gnocchi and found them much too doughy, garlicky and not authentic at all. Overall a very enjoyable experience except for the gnocchi. Would come back again

The selection was fabulous, the taste and temperature of the food was amazing. The noise level certainly got louder as the evening progressed. And the temperature of the room was a bit high.
