We were on the third floor and the ambience was great! We could hear the beautiful piano music so clearly. Our server was excellent. The food was superior to anything we’ve had anywhere in Vancouver.
We had a wonderful evening and will be back again.

Shrimp cocktail was literally 3 shrimps lying on some tomato sauce.

Oysters were good though.

Everything was top notch!

Went for Dineout with my boyfriend and had the pork belly, tartare, steelhead, and crème brûlée. Everything was delicious as usual - especially the tartare! Our reservation was for 8:30pm and they were out of the New York steak - so if you're eyeing this dish make your reservation for earlier in the evening.

Food and service was great, food was served on very hot plates, as it should be. I would return again.

Had a fantastic dinner during Dine out Vancouver. Was seated in the bar area very comfortably. All covid safety measures were in place. Our server was very professional and efficient.

Fantastic menu options, and a great happy hour. We did the Dine Out menu, which really was fantastic value. Props for a great wine list as well.

Please add a salad or greens to your happy hour menu!

Joe fortes is always one of my fav places. Best fried chicken and waffles in town! Great food and presentation, good sized portions, excellent service, lovely ambience... I absolutely LOVE the live piano. It's no wonder they've been around for so long. I would highly recommend!

Never been here before and it did not disappoint! The seafood was incredible and the service and ambiance were amazing. Can’t say enough good things about our trip!

It's my first time here, so my partner and I decided to go for Dine Out. It was amazing! Great staff, amazing food - portion was big enough to share for 2, price is very much reasonable considering the quality and all. Definitely will go back again.

As always, Joe Fortes was a hit, was definitely in the mood for the traditional style and piano bar atmosphere it offers and Joe Fortes didn’t disappoint! Food was amazing, wine delicious ... will continue to return to this iconic staple of Vancouver!

We had the oysters which were amazing if you like oysters. We decided on Dine out Vancouver menu and it was amazing and the dishes were huge! So bring your appetite. I've been going to Joe Forte's for years when it was a chef friend's favorite restaurant back in the late 80's! There is a reason Joe forte's has been around for a long time it's that good! I've never had a bad dish. Thanks for making my daughter and her boyfriend's first visit a memorable one. She was very glad to celebrate her 22nd birthday at the restaurant.

Date night

portion of the food can be a little bit smaller, and the price can be adjusted a little bit lower. Three courses dinner i can not finish.

Waitress still in sleep mood, tableware on the wrong side, wrong spoon for soup. The waitress has completely no idea what she’s doing. The place is pretty old, all the toilet cannot flushed, the food contain a lot of MSG. I expected $120 lunch for two girls a little bit more than that

There's a reason this restaurant is so established and preferred - their quality of service and food is of the highest standard.

Had the dine-out menu. The pork and tuna tartare were both amazing. Potion was big, even for the items on the kids menu. Enjoyed the live music. The service was great too.

If you go do not get steak - it’s a sea food restaurant. Went during dine out - so why they offered steak is also a mystery as they should have wanted a best impression for dine out. The quality of the steak was worst I have eaten in years - I suspect they had a new meat supplier for dine out as it’s hard to image any restaurant would otherwise serve such bad quality. I was the same bad quality for both steaks - the cooking was equally poor. We both ordered medium but one was rare, thought and full of fat to the extent it could not be eaten. Mine was medium Yet excessively chewy with no flavour .. The kale that accompanied the steak was equally over boiled, clumped together and without taste. I went to 10 dine outside this year and this was the most expensive yet hands down the very worst.
The staff was good and did get us a voucher to compensate but it wasn’t not the money it was just terrible food, both in quality abd cooking.

Birthday lunch - Oysters never fail us - LOVE t

Our food, service, ambiance and value was exceptional. This was the Valentine's treat we had been needing. We had the Happy hour wine, shrimp cocktail and crab and corn frittatas. We then shared the lobster bisque, seafood linguini and topped it off with creme brulee for dessert. It was an amazing evening.

Lovely dinner to celebrate birthday and Valentine’s Day. Our waiter was awesome and kept us laughing.

Eddie was the best server that I’ve ever had. Not only was he attentive, humourous, and extremely well-versed in the menu and ingredients, but his recommendations and suggestions were perfect. Well done Eddie!
The pork chop was perfectly cooked - juicy and tender. The salad was very plentiful of all the right flavours, and size.

Never disappoints always great food, service, and ambiance! Highly recommend
