Romando was an excellent sever!! Great Resturant!!
Our 34th Anniversary dinner serviced by Zach was excellent. Try the salmon and coconut cake! You won’t be disappointed.
The dinning experience is excellent. The wait staff is very effiecient and knows just when to stop by. The items that the 4 of us chose were cooked to perfection and ample in size. The only negative, if it can be said, is the sampling of the smoked fish pate is much to small. It is excellent.
Been there lots of times. Wait staff kept forgetting small things. Otherwise good.
Very good food but slow service
A beautiful place to eat with a lovely river view. The service is top notch….old fashioned restaurant service like it should be but is not always offered these days. Food is exceptional. Great wine and cocktail list. One of my favorites
It was eight Canadian’s first meal back in Detroit after the Pandemic during which we lifelong fans pined for Joe Muers. Beautifully decorated for Christmas with a wonderful quiet pianist and singer, great service and the food we all remembered it was a wonderful experience. Columbus, one of the Managers took special care of us, what a gentleman! Our server was perfect.
It was a great evening and celebration of our close ties with Detroit and our American friends.
You need to better train your wait staff, Not to forget ordered salad, birthday sesert.
I do not appreciate forced gratuity !!
The dinners were very good I was upset upset because I was looking forward to a boiled lobster dinner but no such luck our waiter CJ was excellent this is a very pricey restaurant once in a while it’s really worth it we will come back but not as often as we would like because of the cost value relationship enjoyed our experience very well
Food, service and view were even better than expected.
All of your sauces were outstanding. Scallops were cooked perfectly.
Over-rated: average food, expensive for what you get, nothing outstanding. Polite but only average service. Not the place for a quiet dinner: once the piano player started, the noise level rose exponentially to overcome the music, making conversation challenging. Their new policy is to add a mandatory 20% "service/gratuity" charge to all parties, even for 1 or 2 guests (not advertised), regardless of service...at least the river view, if you are fortunate to get a window seating, is nice
Excellent food, service and ambience. The host that checked is in, checked our coats and eventually show us to our table, was fabulous. The other host not as friendly when we asked about purchasing gift cards. Rather than being eager to take our money, as you would expect, she said in a sharp tone, I will be with you later and proceeded to write in her notebook (customer service 101, the notebook could have waited).
We had great service from Victoria. I've enjoyed the staple Joe Muir starters of white bean salad, and bread and butter and salmon pate; since the old restaurant on Gratiot was in business. They have kept the Muir tradition alive. It's a special dinner atmosphere!!
Dinner before a Kat Williams comedy concert
Waiter was excellent, awesome service, food delicious
The food and ambience were amazing, but the best part was our server. He was excellent.
Outstanding! Brought family from California I’m beyond, food, and views of the river.
It was my birthday. Very good night. The only thing is I put a $350 deposit down for 10 people and I had to wait until majority, 6, ppl got there. I feel like if I put up my deposit for 10 and if I want a table for 1 I should be seated. But it was ok.
Amazing seafood options, cocktail and wine list cannot be matched!
Amazing food and great atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!!
Took awhile to be greeted at the table. The steak was good, but the tuna we ordered was just okay.
Great food, service and view. Would recommend and we will return.
Amazing!!! Sied was a fantastic server, the pianist was beautiful. Food was well presented and delicious. Cocktail was the best!
Espectacular sabor en los platillos, una atención de primera y no dejen de probar el mundialmente famoso pastel de coco
Amazing evening! Everything was perfect- food, ambiance and our waitress. Very nice evening enjoying Detroit.
We had a wonderful evening, despite one of our guests needing to leave unexpectedly for the hospital. CJ was great. The only misstep was being told when they sat us that we would each be receiving a free dessert as the table was not ready (5 place settings instead of 6). We were told this by both our server and the manager. My son did receive a free dessert as we were celebrating his birthday, but unfortunately the rest of us were charged for our desserts. We did not say anything as it was upsetting that our guest had to leave and we had just wanted to leave by the end of the meal.
Perfect. Would recommend to all looking forward to a great dinner off the Detroit rive. From start to finish, everything was beautiful!
Everything was perfect ! Nola are matrix de was fantastic!
Great location right on the river with a view. Food is top shelf and service to match. You can’t do better for a 5 star Dining experience downtown that Joe Muers seafood and steak. But be warned your wallet will need to be full. Sometimes though it’s worth it- and this is one place to splurge.
There was a Legit Screw in my Food, Appalled, a actual piece of metal in my steak. I am a Regular Customer who spends much money here on a frequent basis and to have this happen to me at Joe Muers I have absolutely 0 words for it I honestly think they have lost a Good Paying Regular Customer after this one and it’s truly sad because I liked that place a lot for their quality and service but after last night I have 0 words for what happened I do know I will likely not be back unfortunately.
Ramone was lit. Solid service.🎉🤘🏽
Everything was perfect as always!
The worst service I have had in metro Detroit EVER. It took nearly an hour for appetizers to come out, of which the hot appetizer was COLD. Oysters which take minutes to shuck came out after the HOT appetizer, an hour+ in. Staffing was not an issue as there were numerous staff standing around doing who knows? Service was the issue, or lack there of.
We were in town for The Rolling Stones. Food and service were outstanding. We will be back!
Very pleasant evening, great service and excellent food.
Lobster bisque was not as good as it once was. Whitefish seemed undercooked. Lots of scales and bones.
Seduce was phenomenal as was the view.
Joe Muer never disappoints!! We love it everytime.
Our table could not be any worse. Up aginst the wall .The table of ladies next to us had thier walkers parked at one end of the table ,next to the bucket which held the water bottles.Food was so-so and Floor manager (? )came over twice to ask us if everything was allright? We asked to be moved and was told no other tables were available. No one was ever seated at the open tables while we dined. Istared at an empty coffee cup most of my meal
Steak and Brussels Sprouts were burnt. Rest of the food was delicious. Wanted to celebrate my birthday.
