Me and my man went there for dinner a late sweetest Day dinner. We enjoyed it loved the server great service enjoyed the piano player just enjoyed the whole atmosphere itself. Will most definitely be coming back.
Charging gratuity for a party of 2 and not telling the guests is a bit extreme. We normally tip more than 18%. This policy caused the server to lose. The policy of charging $50 per person for any changes to reservations needs to go too. Food and service was good, but we will not be going back unless there are some changes.
We were all very pleased with ambience, professionalism of wait staff, quality of food.
Our server, Karen, is a Master of the craft! The meal and drinks were delicious. My birthday here was special and memorable.
It was our first time going to Joe Muer's. Our waiter was very attentive and the food was great.
My sister’s 40th birthday. Waiter Noah was amazing ! The deviled crab balls for desert did not have too much flavor. It was better with the mustard sauce that was on the plate but over all lacked flavor.
We ordered the Barramundi for 1 entree and it was beyond amazing !
2nd entree was Spice Ahi Tuna. Overall it was good but again lacked flavor in the spice. It sat on top of a bed of spinach and olives and all you tasted was the olives. I am not a huge olive person, so it was too much for me personally.
Great restaurant and great staff. Will go back again. Try some different entrees
Always a Pleasant time, Dinner was Fantastic as Always!!
Sweetest Day! Everything was amazing! I don’t have any complaints!
We were seated so close to two other parties. No social distancing. Tip was automatically added to the bill regardless of how the waitress was.
My food was very flavorful! I loved everything about the crab stuffed barramundi!
Food was good and served timely. Drinks were good and strong.
Waitress was amazing and super attentive and very sweet. We asked to sit by the window from the hostess. She was not very friendly so we sat and ate dinner in 2nd row with 5 open tables along the window. Besides that it was good lobster tails were awesome.
Easily the best seafood place I've ever been and ive had a few.
As always Excellent! Highly recommend.
Gran lugar con excelente servicio y vista al rio
It was a very nice dinner.
Excellent everything! Hostess kind, bartender awesome and our server was amazing!
Our server was nothing short but amazing, knowledgeable, and professional. If I can recall her name is Patricia 💜
The food was good for the most part with the exception of the sour mashed potatoes with my lobster. My server was very professional and was apologetic for the timely orders. I would definitely visit again to give it a second chance.
We have dined at Joe Muer many times in the past and have had great experiences, however, this most recent trip was anything but great. Our waiter did not come to our table until 20 minutes after sitting down. From there we ordered drinks which took another 25 minutes to get and then we received wilted soggy salads another 25 minutes after ordering. Our dinner took almost an hour to come out after we had put our order in. The service did not match the price tag of the food on the menu. We have never had such slow service at such a nice restaurant and we are bummed because we used to truly enjoy this place.
Con - The dinner service was not good. My entrée arrived about 3 mins after I received my salad. That should be a huge no no for a restaurant of this caliber. Felt very rushed. Took waayyyyy (and I mean way) too long to receive our first drink order. The waiter, while attentive, seemed very arrogant.
Pro - The food was very, very good and it helped smooth our very special birthday celebration.
Very Nice experience from dinner, cocktails, ambiance, and service 😊
Joe Muer Seafood Detroit was a really good experience it was my wife and I second time there we celebrated our anniversary they’re great food great service
Every dish was exceptional from the shrimp appetizer to the lobster Mac and cheese. Our server was spot on with suggested cuisine. Pear cocktail and black orchid cocktails were delightful!
Great experience and very friendly staff. Cocktails not consistent, different taste from drink to drink.
Fantastic dinner and experience
Outstanding! Always a wonderful dining experience.
The entire experience was excellent from the beginning to the end. The bar staff was very attentive and had excellent presence; the drinks proved to be in sync. The waitress was knowledgeable and took good care of our table. The food didn't take long to arrive from ordering to being served; the presentation was very nice, and it was good. The manager also checked on us; this capped the experience. We will definitely be returning.
Celebrating a big anniversary and made that known when making the reservation. We were given a table near the exit and bathrooms. When we asked for a different table we were denied. That took away from the overall experience. Loved Eric the bartender though!
All was very good but we were a table of 4 and the tip was already added in. Never had that before and really didnt lije that
The food was delicious - my husband had the filet with shrimp. The filet was super- tender and flavorful. He had sides of mashed potatoes. The green beans were good but the mashed potatoes were mediocre - very creamy but not that flavorful and far too salty. I had the special - New Zealand ? Halibut filet over a crab cake with veggies. It was well- prepared and excellent in taste and presentation. We had the seared scallops and crab balls apps which were both good. We had a moderately- priced wine which was also very good. Service was excellent - attentive without being intrusive. One of the more expensive meals we have eaten but worth it.
Great experience overall including the food and service. Prices are a bit high for Detroit. Also took an unusually long time between “checking in” at our reservation time and being seating when the restaurant was far from full at the time.
Food (grouper) was delicious, cooked just right.
Disappointed that Muers didn't have Tullamore DEW.
Liked the idea that waiter pointed out that the gratuity had already been added in to the bill.
Delicious seafood cooked to perfection, however over priced. That said, the wine selection and view make the price worth it. The mixed drinks are artfully crafted and playfully named. I was a bit discouraged by the dessert choices as it compares to the variety of dinner items. No gluten free specific choices. Though, most broiled baked and raw choices were naturally gluten free.
The people behind the curtains were loud talking and swearing. Noisy
Our experience was wonderful. Our server had a great personality. Our food was good, but felt it was overpriced. Drink options were phenomenal!
