Located in an elegantly restored Victorian home in historic downtown Harrisonburg, the Joshua Wilton House is a bed & breakfast and fine dining destination. We went to the Joshua Wilton for my son’s 22nd birthday and had a wonderful experience. The food was exceptional and service was impeccable. We had the duck, scallops and steak and all were cooked to perfection. We had a specialty drink of hot cider with spiced rum that was perfect on a cold evening. For dessert we had crème brûlée, chocolate cake with cherries and pumpkin cheesecake - each was delicious. Our waiter was so friendly and timed our meal perfectly. Thank you for such a lovely evening!

Joshua Wilton is consistently excellent. The chef's soups are always spot on. There are an adequate number of different entree options to choose from. The servers pace the meal appropriately and are attentive without being intrusive. A highly recommended dining option in Harrisonburg and beyond.

A most wonderful experience. We heard wonderful stories about this restaurant and historic house. The dinner was beyond expectations for both of us. The chef and staff are first rate. I highly recommend it. We will return!

Absolute perfection from start to finish. What a great place for an after work cocktail and lovely meal. The staff was friendly and very informative and the food was amazing. Try those crab beignets and you won't be disappointed. The filet is so tender you could cut it with just your fork. Will absolutely make this one of my weekly stops.

Our first time visiting JWH and it was our 23rd anniversary. It was a great choice and was recommended by several co-workers. We were not disappointed with any of our food choices or by the superb service provided by our server Tammy or any of the other staff. We will be visiting again in the future.

Sam was a great host. Sadly they had so many seatings that they were out of many items by our seating. Our top choices were still available and Sam confirmed our selection. Enjoyed great wine, food and a nice crème brûlée to finish. We enjoyed the duck and the filet, both cooked well at a medium rare temperature.

Went to dinner here to celebrate a birthday. The entire dinner took just over 2 hours and that was only with a salad and an entree. I would call ahead to make sure they don’t have an event going on because they do not have the staffing to accommodate reservations and an event at the same time. The food and drinks were excellent but the slow service unfortunately ruined the rest of our plans for the night. Got there at 6:15 with a reservation and didn’t leave till 8:30. If you plan ahead and give yourself a few hours for dinner service, this is the place to go.

Romantic old inn . Lights flickered a few times at dinner then dimmed to the perfect ambiance , waitress seemed creeped out and a little annoyed.. lol . Legend has it , ghost kids haunt the place . Dinner and wine paring was nice . Crab beignets and Sea scallops were very good . Crem Brûlée and a night cap up in the room is a perfect way end the night . ( if you are staying at the Inn . Room 2 has a roof “ balcony “ off the bathroom Breakfast and coffee on the deck downstairs was good . Weather was perfect.. Virginia is for lovers after all and I Loved .

This is normally our favorite place to eat for many reasons but this last time left a lot to be desired. The food was good but the service was not. Everyone is super nice but they are really under staffed when fully booked. It took at least an hour from ordering to getting our meals and then they weren’t really ‘hot out of the kitchen’. Since we know they are usually on their A game, we chalk this up to an “oops”. We will also not go on a weekend evening again but stick to during the week.
