Food was very salty. Over cooked. Service was great unfortunately the food didn't line up with the service. Too bad, nice place.
I have enjoyed Jump on numerous occasions and was excited to introduce a friend to the restaurant. I was anticipating very good to outstanding. I got fair to good.
This most recent visit was not up to prior experiences. The food was okay but, frankly, not as good as what I would put on the table for a nice occasion at home. I am not a chef. The coho salmon was a poor cut and over-cooked. The Caesar salad was acceptable but not even close to what the Barbarian served me the night before. The scallops were nicely done with appropriate spice and seared just right.
I will look for another occasion to dine at Jump. I know it’s better than what I experienced last.
Such a consistently great restaurant. Love the food, service always superb and they make the best lemon drop martinis in town. Nice and classy but still relaxed.
Had an excellent dinner here. Our guest also loved the place. The lobster salad is AMAZING. Great service and nice big patio.
The staff at JUMP were extremely attentive to our every need. Although the dress code is described as 'casual elegance', there were people in jeans and 'U neck' shirts. Great ambiance for work functions or a nice couple's evening out.
Excellent Service on a quiet night in the restaurant. My tenderloin was a little tough but the staff could not have handled it better. I will definitely be returning.
Location & ambience were excellent. Service very good, but very disappointed with the main courses. Dessert was delicious. Unlikely to return.
Great evening with super service and excellent food. The special was amazing.
Visited for a business lunch. Good service. Prefer more options in Chicken and Fish .
Went to Jump to celebrate a birthday service was amazing, food was amazing I would go back in a heartbeat to enjoy a meal
Very hip place. Service was both solicitous and lackadaisical, which seems contradictory but that is the only way to explain it. I had a California cob salad, oysters on the half shell, and mushroom soup. The soup and oysters came out at the same time. The soup was too hot to eat when it was first served, but once it cooled down was quite tasty. The oysters were TINY -- decent flavor but the sauce they serve with them is way too hot and the only other option is what appeared to be prepared horseradish. Would have appreciated some Tabasco or chili sauce even. The salad was good, not spectacular. All-in-all not a bad place to eat, but not my favorite of the various places I ate in Toronto.
Love the Friday seafood platter special. Brilliant. Also great service and a super patio evening. A classy place with consistent excellence.
I go here fairly regularly with clients. I ordered the crab & fish cakes and they were burned on the bottom. I should have told the (excellent) waiter but I was in a hurry and didn't want to hold up the two people I was with. Everyone is entitled to an off day as usually the food is very good. Won't put me off coming back.
Great service and great staff but my Cobb salad was not worth $27....a few things in the very bottom on the bowl....the bowl should be over flowing. It literally should fill the bowl not 1/4 of it....
Had a very good experience here . We ordered off the Summerlicious menu and portions were perfect and flavours were very nice. Service was excellent.
As it was summerlicious, we decided to take the opportunity to experience a restaurant we had not tried before but that we had heard about. 3 of had the summerlicous menu and one person ordered al a carte. Each course was well presented and tasted delicious. Service good and attentive. The seared tuna poke starter was very good, served with really good home baked crisps.
Loved the Summerliscious menu! Everything was fantastic. We'll be back!
Nice restaurant, very good service and pleasant food.
Great find and glad to have taken advantage of summerlicious menu. Only negative was the hike upstairs to washroom and the fact there was no air conditioning in either the men's or ladies' washrooms. They were like saunas!
Dining at The Jump was an amazing dining experience. We were in Toronto celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary and I’m happy we chose The Jump. Everyone made our dining experience special, the food was amazing and the service exceptional. If we are ever in Toronto again The Jump would definitely be on our list of places to visit (again).
Summerlicious lunch, decent but nothing special. Cold peach soup starter was nice. Not as good as other O&B restaurants. One notable thing, the Pearce Predhomme pinot gris is $90/bottle here, whereas at Biff's bistro the same bottle is $72. Same parent company. Hmm. And it's $25/bottle from the vendor... That's some impressive markup. Nice outdoor patio though.
The personnel there are very friendly and they tried their best to satisfy the customers.
Birthday - thanks for noting it on our friends dessert!
The staff is awesome.
Went for summerlicious. The tuna broccoli salad was way too salty and all I could taste was soy sauce!
Lobster and salmon burger was just ok. Lobster taste was not storing enough.
Dessert was not bad but not impressive.
Service was so so slow.
Rainbow trout entree for summerlicious lacked flavour (bisque and fish) and was very dissapointing. Bruschetta appetizer was good but a little salty. Dessert was great. Service, decor and ambiance was great, just could't get past the entree. (5 STARS for presentation all across the board though!)
I cannot say enough good things about this place!!! There were 6 of us and a baby and the server went above and beyond. She was incredibly attentive without being overbearing. All of the food was outstanding! The bruschetta was a little bit different (I've never had one not bite sized) and super yummy. The steak was very tender and delicious (much better than another restaurant that hosted Summerlicious). My boyfriend adored the gnocchi and pork belly, and I devoured the s'more brownie. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. We will be back for the crab cakes! And the service!
I was disappointed at the speed of service. My wife ordered a steak that was part of the summerlicious menu and it arrived cold. It wasn’t even a busy night. Disappointed!!
Beautiful night so We chose to sit on the patio, was nice seating lots of space between tables, easy to have a conversation , The food was excellent, and the service was very friendly and they had lots of wines by the glass. We had concert tickets and advised the server, they were very good at ensuring we had our food on time without feeling rushed. Close to theatre’s and the Air Canada Centre.
Overalls it was a great experience.
We went for Summerlicious Lunch which was great! The portion sizes were satisfying and there were more choices than most restaurants! The service was great, we sat on the patio as it was a nice day outside and everything was brought to us promptly! We will return! Thank you!
Amazing food! I came here for Summerlicious and ordered the Tomato & Stracciatella Cheese Bruschetta, Crispy Potato Gnocchi, and for dessert i got the Coconut & Taro Pudding. The dessert was my favourite part! I never had a combination of grilled pineapple with tapioca, it was amazing!! Waiters were very friendly and tentative.
Wonderful and attentive server. We both took advantage of the summerlicious menu and loved the food. The gnochi was cooked to perfection which is no small feat!
Great atmosphere.. I like the decoration.. Best choice when you go with friends and take photos..
The food and atmosphere was great and all the staff where great.
Food was amazing!
What I have always loved about Jump is that they are fine dining without being pretentious. Keep up the great work!
Took a client to dinner for a party of 10, and it was absolutely fantastic. For a restaurant that averages out at about $100/person (net... inclusive of wine and tip) the food and service was spectacular. Comments from my partly like "the best cheesecake I've ever eaten" and "The trout is magnificent". Service was top shelf - as was their scotch/whiskey selection.
It was just so awesome and amazing 😉 I came here for my birthday dinner with my mom and they did this!! Impressed by their beautiful cute surprise💓 I will definitely come here again for special events. Steak was also on point with that great mashed potato 👍👍
Everything was outstanding. The server paid close attention to my table (I was a party of one), the manager spoke to me, and the food bussers also presented each dish to me describing it to me in detail. Host also checked up on me. I was there for Summerlicious 2018. Had the Caesar Salad as an appetizer -- dressing is totally homemade and the lettuce was ultra fresh. Main was the Tip Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus. Meat was cooked perfectly -- it melted in my mouth. Asparagus had a perfect crunch and seasoning, and potatoes were made with real butter and some other secret ingredient I couldn't figure out but was delicious. Last was the Tapioca Coconut Taro Pudding -- super creamy and a full profile of flavours. Beer was the recommended beer (I can't remember name) but I got 2 entry forms to win something big, which was a nice value-add. The meal went at my pace, which means when I was done with something, the next course was just 2 minutes away. Very, very well done and highly impressive, I have eaten at many restaurants and have also eaten food from all around the world and have been trained professionally for restaurant and bar hospitality, and Jump does it right. I am so thankful I chose this place. You're going to love it!!
Good summerlicious options
This is an excellent restaurant. Food delicious, service outstanding and great atmosphere. We had a terrific dinner.
