Great view on the patio for lunch and friendly service. It was nice to find a secluded spot to escape the crowd. Go early as the sun can be a bit hot on the patio, but it’s worth it for the view. Stuffed French Toast was great!

Exciting menu and cocktail carte. Many intriguing choices makes it hard to choose. We selected three appetizers, one main and two sides and were satiated. Service was very attentive (thank you Bianca)
.
Beautiful view the mountains. Welcoming dining room. Would go back to try other dishes if we weren’t touring. Indeed we returned for breakfast the next morning. Equally enjoyable experience.

Best food we ate on our 15 day trip through Canada. When we arrived at the Juniper hotel, it was fully booked. The day after, we knew why! Very friendly and helpfull waiters. Not really cheap, but you certainly get value for money!!!

We can't rate this restaurant highly enough. The food was superb, we had the tenderloin and the salmon. The desserts were sublime and probably the best we've ever eaten anywhere. The view was spectacular and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Magic!

Absolutely stunning view - I don’t think there’s anywhere else quite like it. The bartender made amazing cocktails for us and mocktails for the children. The food was also fabulous - small but good portions.

My husband and I had it recommended for breakfast on Day #2 from a different bar the night before. We booked it on Open Table and got a perfect table window side. Everything was incredible! We had a beautiful mountainside view, delicious bloody Marys and salmon bennies. On our way out of town on Day #5, we knew we had to stop again for Round #2. It did not disappoint. Perfect breakfast again! Banff isn’t complete until you’ve dined here!❤️

This was one of the BEST dining experiences in a long, long time. The view was absolutely stunning as we enjoyed the beautiful weather after some showers in the earlier afternoon. Mike took great care of us, and we loved the appetizers, the craft cocktails, the wine, and the entrees. All of the food was exceptional.

Thank you Dale, at the bar, and Mike for making us feel at home.

The views here are gorgeous and that's what you're paying for. The inside ambiance is cozy. Our waitress was nice but a bit on the snobby side; she lacked warmth and when asked questions about the menu she was pretty bland with her answers which made choosing our selections a bit difficult. The drinks were very good but took a while to come out. The gnocchi was fantastic, the steak slightly overcooked and the salmon was the worst dish our party had... it was DROWNING in broth and was lukewarm at best, and lacked any flavor -- avoid this one. Desserts were underwhelming for the price. We were all in agreement that for the price the meals did not quite live up to expectations but the cocktails were very good, so enjoy a drink or two on the patio and take in Banff's majestic views!

We highly recommend making brunch at Juniper part of your Banff experience. The bistro is beautifully situated above Banff town, overlooking the Vermilion Lakes. The food, the service and the ambience were all excellent; and the value for money was exceptional. We particularly appreciated the attention to local sourcing of food and the option of taking a shuttle bus from the town to reduce any unnecessary impact on the environment.

Bacon was 3 strips of pure fat. Eggs were so runny they couldn’t be consumed. The cook never should have let the food leave, the server never should have brought out the plates. I am a local and am telling everyone I talk to not to go

We arrived early for our reservation and waited at the bar for a window table with a great view overlooking Banff and the mountains. The host was accommodating on a busy night, the bar service good and the waiter was very good. We agreed with a Canadian wine recommendation and enjoyed it with our dinner. The meals were tasty and presented well. We left for the evening feeling like we received excellent value for our time and money which, is hard to find in any national park ( Canadian or USA) town.

I was a little hesitant of the menu choices so I asked the waitress for a suggestion. I'm so glad that I did. I got the grilled avocado with sourdough bread, poached eggs, etc.. it was amazing! My husband ordered threw SW burrito I think it was called. His was just as fabulous! Highly recommend for breakfast. Views of the mountains were also a treat!

We were in Banff, Alberta on a multi National Park hiking vacation and decided to celebrate our 20th anniversary at The Juniper Bistro. So glad that we made that reservation! Once we entered the front door we were treated like we were the only guests in the entire restaurant. They had a special table selected for us with an amazing view of Banff and the surrounding mountains. The Speciality drinks and the selections from the fantastic menu offerings were amazing.
The food was prepared to perfection and we truly enjoyed ever minute and mouthful of the entire evening.
The Juniper Bistro created a dream dining experience! Thank you to all the staff for making our 20th awesome!!

Service was slow, drinks were good, not great. Food was inconsistent. Beet gnocchi was amazing, as was the cauliflower cashew dish. Salmon was mediocre and drowned in broth. The kale salad had no kale. The lavender cream puff was surprisingly delicious. Definitely worth a visit for the vegan dishes.
