Juniper Bistro - The Juniper Hotel
Our server was great and very accommodating to our young family! Greats views and nice experience!
Beautiful view and great eggs benny. A little pricey, but worth it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the staff were very polite & helpful!!
Great food and excellent service. We eat in the restaurant twice and were looked after by Bryan, who did an excellent job.
Would definitely recommend this restaurant, the food is great and the views amazing.
Unbelievable views great food excellent staff
Great breakfast with a view. Food was great. We had the Juniper Benny (with braised rabbit), the frittata, the Striploin Sandwich and the Grilled Avocado. Prices were reasonable, portions good and view was beautiful. Service was a tad slow, but we weren’t in a hurry.
Service was slow, drinks were good, not great. Food was inconsistent. Beet gnocchi was amazing, as was the cauliflower cashew dish. Salmon was mediocre and drowned in broth. The kale salad had no kale. The lavender cream puff was surprisingly delicious. Definitely worth a visit for the vegan dishes.
Great Views of Banff!
From the wait staff to the ambiance (best views in Banff!) to the delicious food, we thoroughly enjoyed our brunch with friends at the Juniper Bistro this past Sunday. We are locals, so we are familiar with the Juniper Bistro (and back when it was Muk-a-Muk and before!) - it is a place where locals routinely go because they know it's high quality, decent prices and a killer view of town, Mount Rundle and the Spray Valley.
Views are spectacular!
Awesome view and great food tucked away from all the hustle of Banff.
Let down. Got sent to bar for dinner, when I had requested restaurant table days earlier.
The Juniper is one of the best places to dine in Banff. The food is sensational, the staff are lovely, and there is no better place to enjoy the vast views of mountains and valley.
Terrific scenery, excellent food and service and a decent selection of wine. Highly recommended.
The view from the Juniper Bistro is one of the best in Banff - which is absolutely what you're paying for. The food was good, but not worth the price. Our server took very good care of us when she could, but they were understaffed for a Saturday night so she had her hands full with too many tables. Had the items on the menu been even a few dollars less I would recommend it. As it is now, I would say to look elsewhere for a great meal with a view.
Fantastic food. Different from norm. Very satisfied with whole experience
I decided to come here after reading about all the raving reviews online and must say that this place lived up to its reputation! The food was really delicious and well plated. My husband had the fillet mignon and he loved how tender and juicy it was plus the accompanying sauce blended well. I had the salmon which was a substitute for the sablefish which they did not have that night. The salmon came on a bed of kale and salad greens and was very good. The only thing I’ll like to say that they could do better is to have a larger portion of veggies. I usually eat small portions and found the serving portions to be too small.
We also had the lava cake dessert and it was the best one we had in a long time. Definitely recommend that you come to the juniper bistro for dinner if you are in Banff.
Service was slow
Lots of available parking. We were seated immediately. There is a great view of the Bow River Valley overlooking Banff town site with Mt. Rundle and the Vermillion Lakes on each side. We had the most pleasant and friendly waitress. The food was delicious. Very relaxed atmosphere and we lingered over coffees feeling no pressure to leave. Afterwards we strolled the patio to take in an uninterrupted view of the valley.
Awesome appetizer and meals!
Une bonne table avec vue super!
The food was outstanding, the ambience is great and the best view in town. Our server Laura was amazing. Our experience at Juniper is always wonderful and we keep coming back every week.
Si mangia bene, la location è fantastica. Peccato che se hai bisogno di qualcosa devi aspettare perché non c'è sempre qualcuno pronto a servirti.
We stayed overnight at the hotel and ate lunch, dinner and breakfast at the Bistro this trip. We also ate lunch at the Juniper Bistro a week and a half earlier. Overall, the food was amazing and very well prepared and presented.
The only meal I was dissatisfied with was the salmon Benny that I had for breakfast the morning we left. The salmon was extremely salty so I removed it and ate it alone. I can't say that I enjoyed it as it was way too salty. I then went to eat the Benny without the salmon, but still found it overly salty as the biscuit that it is served on is was also way too salty. On top of this, the potatoes were luke warm. I've had these potatoes 3 other times and they have always been crispy, piping hot and delicious. I will eat again at the Bistro, but I will steer clear of the Bennies. The staff at the Bistro were all very friendly and polite.
A restaurant with a great view. Menu has a good selection and food quality is great. Very attentive and professional staff. Highly recommend if you are looking for a great dinner.
The Turkey leg was very dry. The view is beautiful.
Great view during the sunset !
This hotel and restaurant tucked away just outside of town is simply heaven. Our server treated us as if we were his only diners during the time we were there, he was focused, attentive, made qualified and knowledgeable suggestions.
Our food was well prepared, presented and when brought out individually explained. Our food was OUTSTANDING! We moved to sit more comfortably around the fireplace for desert.
Oh, and of course, the views!!!!
We will most definitely be returning and recommending The Juniper Bistro.
We ordered the 'Beets' and 'Beef Tenderloin'. Both were delicious and filling. My wife, who rarely drinks, thoroughly enjoyed her cocktail as well. I can't recall the name, but it had gin and Juniper berries.
Wish we could have had a seat by the window but otherwise great atmosphere and our waitress was very nice and gave great recommendations of the food.
The ambience inside is average, however, the view out the window was absolutely amazing! Fantastic food and great service. A very enjoyable evening
Yes! Great location. Amazing food. The eating area is very relaxing - summer seating on the deck is amazing with the views. Go for it!
We enjoyed brunch on the weekend. Both enjoyed our plates. The music was quite loud for a mid morning brunch.
Brunch at the Juniper is a wonderful experience, unless you don't enjoy delicious regional cuisine, with wonderful views into the valley. Their hollandaise is fantastic, eggs are always perfectly cooked and the choices on the menu will leave you struggling to choose.
Very good experience with friend. Easy parking. Very nice sunshine seating spot. Food are with good quality. Waitress is very friendly. Very happy with this reservation and will tell my friends to go as well
Great food. Great service. Book a bit later in the evening if you want to avoid young children. We'll be back.
Food was excellent
Great value for the money! Waitress was pleasant kept the meal moving but we did not feel rushed
Just a great evening all around
Amazing restaurant with a fabulous view. All our food was delish, and the drinks excellent too. Gorgeous spot overlooking the Mountains and Banff. Definitely go BEFORE sunset to catch the best views. There are plenty of Vegan and Vegetarian and Gluten Free options on the menu too if you are one, or are with someone who is.
