Delicious dinner, in fact the best dinner we had in Banff. Spectacular view from the terrace. We very much enjoyed our food, the tomato salad & a delicious broccoli soup followed by the halibut and my husband had the scallops. The chocolate tart was very rich and enough to share, although I’m a chocoholic and would have eaten the whole slice without any complaints
They also have a nice wine list, reasonably priced. No need to order the most expensive wine, unless you ate very wealthy, as their private importation selection is quite good.
Beautiful outdoor patio and well executed local foods brunch menu. Would definitely visit again.
Incredible views from the patio. Creative menu. The beet gnocchi was fabulous.
One of my all time favs. Thanks.
We were on vacation from Washington DC and came here for dinner one evening. It was fabulous! We had the lamb and beet dishes. And the view was stunning.
The food was excellent and the views spectacular!
Delicious food and beautiful view. We love to come the Juniper for brunch!
Food and scenery were very good. However, our service was mediocre and our main course took over an hour to arrive after the appetizers. Dessert should have been complimentary but it wasn’t even offered.
Such a gorgeous deck overlooking the Bow Valley. I took quite a few family members, visiting from all over the country, and from age 4 to age 50, everyone was completely satisfied and happy!! I'd go here again in a heart beat!
Great spot- can't beat the view!! Service took a little long but it was worth it!
Great food and Brian who served us was very pleasant and nice to talk to
Fantastic! One of best meals ever! Highly recommend!
Australian visitors ( 6 of us ) dined outside. The food was fresh, delicious modern cuisine. My favourite meal in 3 weeks travelling Canada. The setting is spectacular too. I recommend the duck and chocolate tart. Service could be improved. We had quite a wait for food and drink once seated.
Das Essen war sehr gut die Bedienung war freundlich der Ausblick war traumhaft 😍
Great views and dining experience. We had excellent service and the food was awesome. Loved it!
Over rated. The food was decent but not worth the price paid. I have no issue with the price (having eaten at Eden also on this trip) but the quality of the food was fair but not given the amount paid.
We went here for our last day in Banff. We started off our meal with the cheese platter and salmon gravlax, both of which were delicious. For the main course, my brother and I split the game duo for two. The plate was expensive but absolutely amazing and definitely worth it. I would highly recommend this place because it represents everything I look for in a restaurant— great food, welcoming staff (our waitress Brie was great!), and exceptional atmosphere without the pretension of a stuffy fine dining place. We will be back!
This restaurant is a go to when we visit Banff. The view is lovely, and the service and food is original and tasty. Have not been disappointed.
The setting is amazing, the staff were super friendly and the service was amazing. Our main dishes were unreal, the 10oz steak and the boar chops.
My only critique would be that they should warn you when you order an appy such as the grilled scallops that it is only one scallop :)
Great place for dinner and great service on the outskirts of banff. The view from the windows is incredible.
Perfect breakfast with perfect views. Impeccable service too!
Service was very slow and food was just okay; definitely overpriced. Of our group of 7, 4 people were happy with their entrees and 3 were underwhelmed with poor execution, lackluster flavor, or both. Needless to say, our special occasion meal did not feel very special at all.
My husband and myself came here to have our first meal in Banff and it did not disappoint! Great food, great service, and GORGEOUS mountain views. I cannot recommend this place enough!
Absolutely wonderful food, wonderful experience. Best dining experience we’ve had in Banff.
Very nice setting with amazing views of the mountains. Food (steaks) were excellent. Cooked perfectly as were the veggies.
Great food and service with a spectacular view! A great option in Banff.
Excellent food and service, beautiful views. However, small dining area was a bit loud.
I booked this restaurant through Open table.
They perfectly knew my request. Dinner was Fantastic. Also it was very happy for my family to see beautiful scenery during all the time for dinner. I recommend this place for people to visit in Banff.
I had been meaning to try the Juniper for a while and finally got around to it during a weekend get-away. I wish I'd gone sooner!! The atmosphere was terrific and the food and staff was even better! We went on Sat morning for brunch and shared the Juniper Benny and Stuffed French Toast... truly a culinary treat! The value for the dining experience was excellent! The staff was very friendly and offered suggestions on local hikes and drives, etc. It was a bit cool to eat out on the patio, but the views of Banff and area are still spectacular.
Can't wait to go again!!
Great place to have breakfast. The view is amazing. Staff are friendly and the food did not take long.
It was totally worth for breakfast. Excellent views, good ambience and casual.
Service was a bit slow. Food was good although asparagus fennel soup was not great. Meat dishes were good. Limited menu, especially since 2 of the items on the menu were out when we arrived for a 7:00 dinner.
Really enjoyed our time at the juniper bistro. My boyfriend and I went for the first time and were shocked at the freshness and quality of food. Our server was great, she was there when we needed her and was very friendly !
Will definitely come back and recommend to our friends
Amazing as always! Gorgeous day on the patio. Weekend brunch is the best in Banff!!
Delicious food, great service! Will definitely be back! Thanks to Candice for an awesome experience.
My husband and I don’t get out alone much and this was a perfect spot for brunch date. The eggs benny that we ordered were delicious and my first time trying rabbit was not disappointing. The view of the mountains was amazing and the coffee was delicious. My only complaint is that the water they poached the eggs in had a bit too much vinegar in it.
Food was great & the view was spectacular! Service was good
The food was great and our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The only downside was that the food was served on cold plates, meaning it lost its own heat very quickly; but the range of dishes was great, with excellent, locally-sourced ingredients. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Banff!
We pulled into the parking lot and immediately thought we might regret this meal as the Juniper Hotel looks more like a motel. We proceeded into the restaurant and again felt we made a mistake. The views are amazing but it’s more of a cafe setting. But, once we saw the menu and ordered our food we realized that we shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. The food was absolutely awesome, service was excellent. 10/10 would recommend. If you when it’s warm out, try to sit outside on the amazing deck.
The restuarant was recommended by a waitress from another restaurant. My first time in Banff and I wanted to eat great food in a place where I could reflect. I sat in the bar because the restaurant was full. Had a great table by the window and looked at the scenery while I read, drank wine and ate a delicious meal. The bartender/waitress was delightful and the food arrived hot. She provided a wine taster which prevented me from purchasing a wine I did not like. My second choice was great lake breeze by the glass in a red. I wish lake breeze pinot blanc was by glass instead of bottle. The new pinot gris option was from a winery I was no familiar with and it had a good start but a bad finish. I like being left alone to enjoy the food, ambience and scenery outside. I wish the weather had been warm enough to sit outside. I would definitely recommend and return.
Mountain View is breathtaking, and foodie and wines are also great. I would recommend here to my friends and I will visit again.
