Juniper Bistro - The Juniper Hotel
overrated bone marrow lacked flavour not even salt! Mussels were cooked ok but again lacking taste. Amazing location and service; unfortunately the food is not worth it.
This is a great place for a special dinner. Excellent food and service. Very nice view.
Amazing brunch menu. Highly recommend the grilled avocado, sirloin sandwich, and mimosa.
The food preparation and presentation were very mediocre and uninspired. Some dishes were quite bland. My meal arrived and was barely warm. I asked for my food to be reheated. They were happy to do so but by the time my meal arrived the second time my husband had already finished his food. There are far better restaurant choices in this area.
Food, ambience and service everything was so wonderful. I absolutely recommend Juniper Bistro.
Great experience in a good restaurant and excellence views
Great food. Terrific service. Knowledgeable friendly waitstaff. Accommodating. Just wish our table closer to window.
Would recommend Juniper. All 4 dishes were excellent.
Had a bone in my eggs Bennie and several twigs in my pulled pork...
Every dish was delicious and the view was incredible! A fantastic meal and experience.
Conference visit in near by resort
Loved our dining experience at The Juniper. Great service, atmosphere, drink/wine list and food! What a hidden gem tucked away on the outskirts from the bustle of downtown Banff.
Had brunch with family out the patio and the view was beautiful, food was ok, service was great. Overall, we would go back again.
Wonderful, as always.
Excellent food, great service. We sat inside and went outside at the end of our meal to take photos - there was a lot of traffic noise outside.
We had 2 dinners and a breakfast here during our 4 days in Banff. Breakfast was excellent but service was very slow - and they gave us a 20% discount. The menu does not have a large selection but there are plenty of healthy options from appetizers to entrees to excellent vegetable side dishes for sharing. The mussels were some of the best we have ever had - and we were sad they ran out just before we ordered our second visit. Scallops, mushrooms, too colored tomato salad, beet gnocchi, Brussels sprouts and beets were all just terrific. The bistro is located just outside of Banff but parking is plentiful (unlike IN town) and the view from both inside and outside dining tables is great.
The salmon dish was pretty bad - a bowl of watery, tasteless broth with burnt veggies, noodles, and a salmon filet floating on top, skin side up. Yuck. The beef filet dish was good. The waiter comped us a dessert (the two small pieces of fried banana were the best thing I tasted while at this restaurant) and coffee to make up for the bad salmon dish, which I appreciated. But I would rather have had a nice meal.
Lovely view from te restaurant overlooking the mountains, fantastic fresh food and a great service. Went here 3 times to eat while in Banff!
Really Nice food and awesome view, we really enjoyed our dinner.
I ate here many times during my stay in Banff and everything was amazing including the drinks/service/views from the restaurant. I love everything about this place especially the Juniper Benny for breakfast. My favorite!
the reason I would not recommend the Juniper is not because of the food, which was excellent. It was the service. I had booked a table weeks in advance for our last night of our holidays as a special treat as this restaurant was recommended by a friend. It was the service that let it down, we felt we were rushed from the moment we sat down and we were even presented with our bill and we had not even finished our desserts. Which was really annoying as we wanted liqueurs and coffee. We also told the waiter that we would like a glass of wine when our main course arrived. We are still waiting. The food itself was superb which is such a shame that the service was terrible
Thanks for the nice evening, including inspiring food variations!
Our waiter Bryan was wonderful. Attentive and expedient. Food was wonderful. Complements to the kitchen staff.
Great view on the patio for lunch and friendly service. It was nice to find a secluded spot to escape the crowd. Go early as the sun can be a bit hot on the patio, but it’s worth it for the view. Stuffed French Toast was great!
Wonderful place for breakfast! Sat outside on the patio and enjoyed the beautiful scenery and wonderful food!!
Food is wonderful. Services are mostly good except out waitress. Have to ask at least 3 times to get anything. Very slow and frustrating.
Great dining experience in the Canadian Rockies! Food was flavorful, fresh, and local. Cocktails were just as good or even better! Our waiter provided excellent service and even made some hiking reservations for the next day.
Wonderful! Cozy ambiance and fantastic food!!
Food was incredible and presentation beautiful. Very fair prices. I would definitely recommend and would definitely return!
The Juniper is a very special place....this was one of the best meals of our lives.
Exciting menu and cocktail carte. Many intriguing choices makes it hard to choose. We selected three appetizers, one main and two sides and were satiated. Service was very attentive (thank you Bianca)
Beautiful view the mountains. Welcoming dining room. Would go back to try other dishes if we weren’t touring. Indeed we returned for breakfast the next morning. Equally enjoyable experience.
Best food we ate on our 15 day trip through Canada. When we arrived at the Juniper hotel, it was fully booked. The day after, we knew why! Very friendly and helpfull waiters. Not really cheap, but you certainly get value for money!!!
We can't rate this restaurant highly enough. The food was superb, we had the tenderloin and the salmon. The desserts were sublime and probably the best we've ever eaten anywhere. The view was spectacular and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Magic!
We went with family from Europe. The view is spectacular. Food was amazing. Highly Recommend
Absolutely stunning view - I don’t think there’s anywhere else quite like it. The bartender made amazing cocktails for us and mocktails for the children. The food was also fabulous - small but good portions.
Fantastic views complement fresh, modern dishes. Friendly service.
The shakshuka and avocado toast were both amazing and the views were great!
My husband and I had it recommended for breakfast on Day #2 from a different bar the night before. We booked it on Open Table and got a perfect table window side. Everything was incredible! We had a beautiful mountainside view, delicious bloody Marys and salmon bennies. On our way out of town on Day #5, we knew we had to stop again for Round #2. It did not disappoint. Perfect breakfast again! Banff isn’t complete until you’ve dined here!❤️
