Great services, everyone including the waiters at the restaurant made our stay enjoyable
We had a lovely time- just like every time we go
Wonderful dinner at Teca for our anniversary. We were served with two glasses of champagne on the house. Everything was wonderful. Food excellent. Lobster ravioli to die for. So nice and light. Our server was the best. Beats so many places and attitudes in Toronto. Lincoln was awesome. Will return.
The food was good; but you are paying a Muskoka premium for the restaurants at the JW Marriot. The service and food is not quite at the same level it would be if they were in Toronto, however we really enjoyed our meal. We shared the charcuterie (meat & cheese plate) - there was plenty, it would have been great for a table of 4. I had the lobster ravioli - very creamy, and a strong lobster flavour. My partner had the rack of lamb, and really enjoyed it. We left full and happy.
The ambiance and the meal and wine were very good. We received a nice dessert free because it was our anniversary.
Service was very good, food not so much.
Overall the food was “ok”. We are here about 5 years ago when staying at the Marriott and weren’t impressed. We gave it another try and found the same issues. In a nutshell we feel like they try too hard to make a dish creative and only make it awkward.
Apps - Bruschetta is a pile of warm cherry tomatoes and grated cheese at the bottom of a bowl with 4 pieces of crostini on top. Trying to get the tomatoes onto the bread is impossible. It lacks the garlic or onion flavours and is rather bland. The meat and cheese starter is quite good - lots of little bites. This is worth ordering.
Mains - Zucchini risotto was very good. Carbonara pasta was extremely bland and odd tasting. Spaghetti and meat balls was ok and pizza was decent but nothing special.
Desserts - we had one with 3 kinds of gelato and that was decent. The pannacotta was very good. Forget the cheesecake - inedible. All desserts are very small for the price so don’t be fooled by the long winded list of ingredients. Some are literally a dime sized dollop on the plate.
Our server was excellent. She took the cheesecake off the bill which was appreciated. If it wasn’t for her we would have left before desserts. Noise level and ambiance are good here.
Overall if you are at the resort it’s an ok place to go, but expensive for what you get.

Ambience was nice. Some meals were like warm. Some were great. Nice experience overall.
I don’t know who was at the table beside us but they were definitely important and we were definitely second fiddle. They had the full attention of our waiter as well as the maître d while I had to continuously ask for water refills. Their napkins were folded when they left the table and ours were not. I understand the need to support VIPs (whoever these people were) but judging by the number of times we heard them told “with the chef’s compliments” I might have actually paid more for our meal than they did.
Been there before. Service continues to go downhill. Disappointing as there are few options at the resort. Waiting over 20 min just to get water. Then another 20 min for some bread (which we were told would be ordered right away some our water took so long). Then, we got the wrong dinner order and waited again for our actual order. Food was good but the service needs to improve. Very disappointing.
Great spaghetti and meatballs and wine service was outstanding
Great service. We were seated promptly. Another waiter started us off with water. Friendly staff. We were celebrating our anniversary.
My husband and I shared our appetizer and entree. We loved that they split the dishes for us. Many restaurants leave that to yourselves to do. Food was delish. Lovely ambiance. I thought the menu would have had more traditional Italian dishes like chicken parm , lasagne and more pasta dishes. The bread basket was delish. Afterwards we took a walk around the property. Such a beautiful place.
The crudo seafood appetizer, which was listed as ‘market price’ was simply frozen & battered shrimp and calamari. It shouldn’t have been battered frozen seafood but they screwed up the batter too. Undercooked and pasty.
Girl serving us was really nice but lacks experience and knowledge and has no business serving in this type of restaurant until she either gets more experience or training. She didn’t know the difference between the artichokes and the crudo when the plates arrived. Didn’t know what crudo meant.
My shrimp risotto was really good and they gave us a free desert to make it right.
Fine dining so portions are small. Prices are high for the food but not excessively so but the pricing for bottles of wine was ridiculous!! For $41, I had the black cod wrapped in Swiss chard...the cod was perfectly done but the chard was tough. The farro & tomato jus was good to eat with the cod but lacked flavour. The other meal was rack of lamb ($48) which was quite flavourful but the lamb was not particularly tender. That meal came with a parsnip puree, beets & broccoli which was substituted for broccolini.
We were very disappointed in our dining experience at Teca. We all left hungry. Some in our party ordered the lobster ravioli.... over 40.00 per serving and there were 7 ravioli pieces. The steak ordered by others came with a potato “purée” which was like watered down mush. No veggies..... they had to be ordered separately. That was for 47.00 ea. Plus the cost of veggies. We ordered very few alcoholic beverages and our bill was almost 500.00 for 5 people, which included a salad and dessert. It was over the top expensive for what we got. We don’t mind paying for a good meal but 7 ravioli pieces for over 40.00?
Service was friendly and professional. Preparation of food was not up to par for menu prices. Sauce on appetizer had split. Lobster tail on signature dish was size of a shrimp and beyond over cooked. Dessert was soggy. Bill came with a $6.35 local fee. What is this for? Overall experience was very disappointing.
We ordered the lobster ravioli, carbonara and Caesar salads. Our dinner was very good. The carbonara was a little peppery but delicious.
The service was excellent. Melanie was friendly, attentive and provided great suggestions for dinner.

Over priced with unsatisfying food. Don’t splurge for the lobster ravioli- frozen grocery store quality.
So understaffed itcwas painful for both guests and servers.
Our reservation (Roe, party of 8) was for 7pm, we got out table at 8:30, food by 10pm

This restaurant is big on promise but lacks on the delivery . The food is ok but not outstanding. Yet the prices suggest the food is something special. It isn’t. While I have no major complaints, I’m not sure I would return. The service was a bit unattentive and the main courses took far too long to arrive (45 minutes for the kids burger and pizza, for example). I certainly would not order their signature lobster ravioli again. It tasted fine, but didn’t live up to it’s promise.
Alam was a very patient, helpful and friendly server!
Wait staff are very pushy to buy expensive items and are not very responsive. Had to wait 30 minutes for my kid's dessert to come and the waiter had to be flagged down to get it.
We visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night. The service was very, very slow. It took almost two hours for our main course to come out - we were told it was because our dishes were more complicated to prepare, however, we ordered spaghetti and gnocchi...when the dishes did arrive, they were luke warm at best. The presentation and the taste of both meals were average. It seemed to us that the kitchen was perhaps overwhelmed and the service staff not adaquately trained. For an expensive meal, our experience was dissapointing.
Seems to be understaffed due to holiday break.

The Appetizers and Mains were very good, but the desserts didn't make it. The Marriott needs a new pastry chief.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. Our waiter was very attentive. Food was amazing and they were so accommodating to our celiac needs. Lovely place.
My wife and I had dinner here and enjoyed the food and service. I would recommend this restaurant over the Lakes. I had a make your own pizza which tasted great and was a good value compared to other menu items. I would recommend this restaurant
Our server from Laos was very helpful and attentive. Even with my spill, quick to help and make sure we were ok. The food was amazing and the ambience was beautiful.
The opera music was loud and irritating for my entire table. Upon request, the hostess changed it. To retro 80's! This produced complaints from other tables. What ever happened to background music for an Italian restaurant? The chef's special was wild boar. My husband couldn't even cut it with his steak knife. The server was kind enough to comp his meal and replace it with a simple pasta dish. Service was fantastic, but food, ambiance and price were far from good.

It’s very convenient locating right at the resort lobby. Food is good and service is great. The pizza and one of the pasta is a little too salty. A decent place for a resort.
ordered calamari and spaghetti with san marzano tomato sauce.
Calamari tasted OK 3 very small pieces of calamari for $16.00 not worth the money.
spaghetti was good a little sweet for my taste. Large portion Meatballs where delicious.

The waitress Brenda or whatever her name was, was slow, inefficient and clueless. Messing up order after order. Not the quality of food or service expected at a JW Marriott in Muskoka. The food was veg subpar. Worst part about this place is the service and cluelessness of staff.
Service was amazing!! Food was very disappointing. Very blan. Beef rib was good but very small portion.
My husband and I dined here tonight to celebrate our anniversary. In a nutshell, our dining experience fell well short of other less expensive dinners we’ve enjoyed. Hence, the 3 dressed up as a 9!
I read the menu before we booked. I knew I’d order the lobster ravioli. I didn’t expect my meal would come with three little chunks ... we’re talking tiny ... of lobster instead of the tail that was promised. My husband had the lamb which was warm at best, fatty, undercooked for the medium he requested and accompanied by a very undesirable side.
We waited over an hour to receive our order and our server was so busy she brought us the wrong bill at the end of the night.
Just not what I was expecting from a 5 star resort. In fact, so put off by everything that we’ll drive 15 minutes to Tim Horton’s for breakfast tomorrow morning. No way I’m paying through the nose to deal with slow service and eat average/sub-par food again. Sure hope the resort itself measures up tomorrow. At $600 a night, I’m expecting a little more than I got tonight.
Food and service were exceptional.
There were not enough wait staff there that night. I had to ask for water and to remove our wine glasses from the table. I had to sit on an uncomfortable chair that looked like it was borrowed from the conference rooms.
My capreze salad was amazing. It looked.like a work of art. Spaghetti and meatballs were so-so.
We really enjoyed our dinner being served by Brenda and her team. We loved the food , the ambiance , the positive vibe , comfortable seating with enough space to ensure our privacy and still feel part of a larger group .Well done folks ! We have been before and we will visit again . Such a pleasure to have a refined experience with no negatives.
