Katsura - Westin Prince Toronto
Great Japanese cuisine. Lunch is usually not busy and the dinning room is quite which allows for good conversation with those you are eating with.
No one was at the entrance and she did not come out until I called.
She did not take my umbrella, before I asked here where I could leave my umbrella.
My friend ordered tea but it was forgotten. I reminded a waitress to bring a tea cup.
when we wanted to have a spoon, we had to look for a waitress. No one was around, although it was not crowded --four tables were occupied including ours.
We paid so much that we would like to have had better services.
The food was fantastic
Friendly staff, good food, great recommendations and good value . I will be going back soon.
Visit multiple times a year. Always a great experience. Food value is worth it.
Always a consistent and enjoyable evening.
Great as always and great food quality. They accommodate our 13 month old and have since he was 6 months.
Beef steak is tough and chewy, not like Wagyu US beef. Veggies taste so so. Sushi is like outside sushi, not worth the price which 11 dollars for 2 piece.
Great food and service. Could do with better A\C though. It was uncomfortably warm.
The food is not worth 53 dollars for the summerlicous menu. This is the worst summerlicous restaurant I have ever tried over last 5 years.
The wagging srriploin was overdone even I ordered medium rare. customers on other sides of the table was talking in a high pitch
Cooking table - great experience. Great quality food.
Beautiful and elegant place to dine-in. Superb service.
I and my friend have a good time.
If you like sushi and sashimi, Katura would be a great place to go. The chef prepares sushi for the day specially upon request. More quiet at lunchtime than dinner. Service is always excellent.
good service and A nice place to visit but the quality of food need to improve.
Amazing restaurant. They need more waiters. The poor were running from one table to another.
Great place, good food.
Will come again.
Had a high expectation but it was just okay. Pricy and I don’t feel the money brings the same value
We had a wonderful night in the restaurant, especially when the staff brought a cake for our anniversary! Every staff was very nice and helpful! Thank you for the great memories! We appreciate it!
Not worth it. I don’t know why so many people come for dinner
I would echo the point made by others that there is vastly superior Japanese food at far lower prices elsewhere in Toronto.
The wagyu beef steak was tough and chewy. The tuna was over cooked. The chicken was tough and overcooked. The teppanyaki table was nice for my son to see but the cooking was purely methodical at best.
As always consistent food flavours and quality service. This has been our go to cooking table restaurant for over 30 years. My wife and I used to come as children with our parents. Now we are bringing our own kids here. This place is very special for us and we always enjoy eating here.
It was great!
Absolutely delightful evening. Food was amazing as well as the preparation of it as we dined in the teppanyaki area of the restaurant. Great value, and fantastic service. Very attentive to their customers. Would highly recommend this establishment. It was our first time dining there, and it certainly won't be our last when we visit Toronto again
Food quality and ambiance has dropped significantly. Last visit was years ago and booked based on past experience and convenience as one of the guests was staying at the hotel. Only one other table was occupied in the restaurant and food was mediocre and not worth the price.
My guests were not impressed and questioned my restaurant selection abilities.
Would not recommend for business or important personal events
Food was good as was service. Good variety to choose from
I haven't been here for years and it is even better than when I was here last. The service and food was extraordinary. I treated a friend and she was blown away with the whole experience. Thank you all for making this a special occasion, for us both.
Another wonderful evening of Japanese ambiance and delicious food...I always order the Aoi dinner special and have never been disapointed with my dinner...great cook and amazing service..a " 10 " !!!
Furniture is a bit tired- needs to upgrade the dining room.
It was great!
Katsura needs a remodeling. It's exactly like it was over 20 years ago. The carpets and chairs are worn out.
The food was very mediocre. For the price you should get more food like a salad and soup included and a fried rice. Other Teppanyaki restaurants are much more generous with their food.
I would not recommend to go here and I will not go back.
We eat out a lot and this was a special occasion so we wanted to try a new place. The food didn’t have flavour and we needed to add all these sauces to create flavour. The price didn’t warrant the food. The service and ambiance was good but unfortunately we will never go back again.
We haven’t been at Katsura for over 24 years but it was very nice to return.
We will certainly return:)
Worst spend ever. Overpriced. Food horrible. Would never return.
Not good value for the food that was offered. The winterlicious menu only consisted of petty 2-3 pieces of salmon sashimi. The beef was dry and overcooked.
For people who wants private and solemn dinner in a cozy ambience...
It’s still recommendable despite of it being pricey.
The service we had was fantastic !
Food taste good although its not worth the price.
Their introducing Winterlicious which is totally cheaper than the actual tepanyaki dinner, but must be in a satisfactory portioning.
I can eat these food in an AYCE restaurant for half the price.
Appetizer : 1 pc shrimp, 2 pcs fish, and 2 tiny calamari
Main: 2 beef skewered , lobster tail
Dessert: a scoop of sherbet with 6 pcs frozen berries
Yes, its tepanyaki but the only difference is they were cook in front of you .
But in a restaurant, aren’t they preparing and cooking the same food if you ordered them ?
Its like you’re advaertiaing your restaurant to the public, when you join winterlicious.
Wouldn’t it be nicer if guests were more satisfied with what they paid for ?
